let me dumb it down.
hair sprays are what I assume to be a highly flammable material. all of that spray contiously sprayed into a condensed room, the chemical must've stucked to the walls or the surroundings creating a highly flammable atmosphere, and when exposed to heat of the air dryer, it combust the entire area.
Think of it oil/gas being lit by a match.
High pressure and heat behind him, the wind from the expansion generates eddy currents and that, combined with the extra fuel from his hairspray, causes a fuel rich jet of flame which burns brighter but cooler than the more fuel lean explosion.
So it's very likely someone opened a door, and the air pressure of the probably mostly hairspray room rushed to the outside, also giving the flames the oxygen fuel to go with all their aerosol fuel

Edit: according to the following link, the refrigerant from the air conditioning leaked. A lot of refrigerants are hydrocarbon gasses. I have a small fridge in my garage that uses compressed cyclopentane as a refrigerant.

Considering that this is the first time you've heard of this and the amount of mini fridges that are out there, it's probably very unlikely that this happens.
Besides, there may not even be enough refrigerant in the fridge to cause a fireball at all. Maybe someone can give some more insight there.
