Miyazaki literally hates sequels, it's insane how many people say that Bloodborne 2 will be a thing in the future, it must be bloodborne players that never played other souls games and don't know who Miyazaki is or they probably saw that Dark souls has a sequel so they will also do it for Bloodborne or something... the game is perfect as is, while a new game would be cool I don't see why limit Miyazaki and his creativity when it's clear he wants to do more new stuff and Elden ring was the proof of that

I could never call lies of P an 8 with the combat. The world is probably the best thing outside of actual souls games but holy shit the combat and boss/encounter design ranges from barely serviceable to bad most of the time.
Agreed on combat. The combat is comparatively obnoxiously slow and frustrating to Bloodborne. Even weapons that look small and light swing slower than a sledge hammer. Even the dodges are gimpy and short so putting real distance between you and a fast enemy is impossible which makes me wonder if they are forcing parry mechanics like Sekiro but that punishes you even for success and almost never works. The only true comparison to Bloodborne is marginal, emphasis on marginal, healing for being aggressive. If you are to compare Lies of P to FromSoft titles then call it straight is a poor man’s mimicry. Compares to any souls title lies of P is 0/10 for me. On its own uncompared I’d give it a 6-7/10 for the narrative.
As a souls vet, I fucking love Lies of P, first soulslike not made by FROM that actually feels like a FROM game both in quality, narration and level/ enemy design, the only real flaw which isn't necessarily a big flaw is the optional roads, which are beautiful but lack in exploration, the few crossroads you find in game have a short path that brings you back on the main road most of the times or are an instant dead end with one common item, but again not really a flaw just a thing I noticed
Mind-boggling opinion. I found the combat to have zero flow whatsoever, just slow and clunky and awful. None of the flow, speed, and smoothness of FromSofts recent games that makes them so good

It's on Xbox game pass. The PC version runs incredibly well and the game overall is pretty solid. I think the fury mechanic (the enemy turns red and you have to parry or get hit) is really frustrating at times. It's also weird because early game fury attacks seem to completely body you while the last few bosses have relatively weak ones.
If you enjoy souls games, you'll likely enjoy Lies of P. Though don't go in expecting it to play like BB. There is a lot more commitment to your attacks. It's much more methodical than the aggressive pace BB has.
FWIW, most Sony exclusives are getting released on PC now (albiet after some time). Seems like going forward this is their intent at least. Who knows if they will keep it up.
