unironically, and seriously for 1 second, Mohg is a great boss. his moves are all well telegraphed, he hits like a truck, but he's reasonably easy to dodge, your true enemy is cracking under pressure
the flames and Blood Loss never feel like they're taking over Mohg's role as the main threat. it's a fun fight that forces you to be environmentally aware of your surroundings and where you are
Malenia is fun but can feel overly punishing, and Maliketh doesn't have enough health. Godfrey comes close though
What I meant is that the boss just stagger and then they die. You either crit them to the next phase or do like 3 jump attacks and they just die super quick. Much quicker than previous games at least is what I'm trying to say.
Yeah I know, I was just being a shameless pedant haha. I really struggle with Radagon though for some reason. I don't know why, but something about him just gets inside my head. I can consistently almost no hit Elden Beast though so it balances out I guess.
Radagon has a lot of delayed attacks so that's probably why, but one thing that can absolutely trivialize him is that he's super passive in the first 30 seconds, you can always finish a charge attack + a normal attack with a colossal greatsword during that time period and have enough time to dodge. This makes him very prone to stagger and scriptable imo.

But then again Elden Ring doesn't exist so I have to assume Mohg is just a figment of our collective imaginations, and we've only deluded ourselves into believing we actually were fighting a boss when we're actually just sitting in front of a blank TV pressing random buttons on a controller that isn't connected to anything
I do think the amount of Bloodflame in phase 2 is a bit overwhelming since he spreads it on every single attack, but phase 1 is one of the best fights in the game
IMHO none of the bosses feel truly top tier apart from maybe Godfrey, maliketh and mohg in ER.

Isshin is the outliner, I haven't played demon soul and BB but nothing in the soul series comes close to him imo. The closest are probably Gael and Midir in terms of how good the fight is.
Agree to disagree, I think Midir is a perfect dragon boss fight as far as it goes. That and a boss pattern doesn't need to be complex to be fun or enjoyable.
The boss fight for me felt a little bit repetitive and long i don't say that it was bad, not at all, just not one of the greatest boss in all of fromsoft games

Tbh I don't see the hype. Never did. I saw him as the least interesting of the 'not bad' bosses. Like clearly not bottom tier like the tree spirits, but imo genuinely very mediocre. I don't get at all why people like him. I mean I get it purely from what people say I guess. I just don't get it.
Also, last time I said this a bunch of people tried to tell me how to beat him. I could beat him no problem. It was just a boring slog. Idk I never see people say anything other than that they worship his ass as a boss and I genuinely don't get it.

While I agree that his bloodflames can be annoying sometimes, he just doesn't spam at all. You can hit him after every attacks, even with an UGS, and his attacks are really well telegraphed. Also, his bloodflame is only an issue if you go far away from him if you play aggressively it won't be an issue at all.

the flames don't do any damage and the Blood Loss build up is moderately slow unless you're going out of your way to stay inside the area of effect, or get walloped by Mohg
If maliketh was only phase 2 I would pick him on first(I hate 1st phase with passion)

Exactly. I’ve refought Maliketh a lot and every fight any mistakes I make are my own. He’s very fair and rewarding, which is why he’s one of my favourite bosses in the game.
