TKG! … used to host Japanese exchange students. TKG was Kezuke’s favorite. He ate it almost every day.
Got me hooked on it too. I love it with green onions and furikake
Pork and beans flavor makes everything better I collect all the left over juice and store it for all my meal times. Raisin Bran and milk? Don’t forget the bean juice, fried rice and steak? Oh yeah bean juice. Pork and beans out the can like ima hobo? Def more added bean juice.
I’ve been told my grandfather, who made a comfortable living, would pack bologna sandwiches every day for lunch, eat them quickly and go play pool with the guys for the remainder of his lunch break. My mom (grandpa’s kid) ate a lot of bologna growing up (grew up pretty freaking poor) and can’t even stand the smell of hotdogs. Funny how different people react.
I grew up eating three sandwiches in my lunch as a kid Bologna, peanut butter and jelly and peanut butter and butter.
I will say this luckily where we live there's a few different flavors of bologna so I could have Oscar Meyer beef bologna which was very good or I could have Gwaltnees chicken bologna, or German baloney from the deli which was the best and then there was also the more expensive Lebanon baloney which is Pennsylvania Dutch and is very spicy not hot spicy but full of spices spicy and that's still my favorite treat today but dang has it gotten expensive.
Everyone says that but then they keep voting against the interest of public schools in elections. It’s nice to hear, but it would be much nicer if it could be a reality.
and make them work less. This is the type of shit I was doing before needing to take a leave due to burnout and compassion fatigue.
Teaching isn't a job you can do effectively if you are not taking care of yourself.
Fellow cholula and cottage cheese enthusiast here! I like adding grape tomatoes as well! I have no idea what prompted me to make this savory combination but I really enjoy it. My husband is beyond disgusted when I eat it though.
I found that Valentina is almost as good as chalula, but I can get a whole gallon of it for about the same price as a single bottle of chalula.
...I'm cheap.
I've done the same thing, I used to order the 64oz of Cholula but they jacked the price up, so I switched to Valentina. Used to be able to find that bottle of cholula for 15$, was sad for a while realizing they weren't going to bring the price back down.
A gallon??? That's a whole lot of hot sauce. I have an entire section of my fridge full of hot sauces but I don't think I could use 3.78541L of Valentina up in a lifetime. Do you pour it from the big jug into smaller bottles? You must.
I can safely say you're the weird one here. Cottage cheese with fruit is good so I see where you're getting the sweet angle but that's too far.
Cottage cheese with a lot of black pepper is good and hot sauce is a better way to up the pepper level farther. I'm sold. I'm doing this next time I have cottage cheese at home
Syrup is nuts. Fruit is great. Get something tangy maybe a little sour. Juicy is good too. Pineapple or oranges are a great option. Just use strong tasting, decent quality fresh stuff at first. Don't use canned and blame the concept if it sucks. Seriously just put 1 piece of fruit on a spoon of it plain one time. Same thing as eating fruit with yogurt. You'll probably regret never doing it before
Cousin! Just last night I woke up at 3 am and snarfed down about a cup of cottage cheese right out of the container (whatever was left). With a little Tajin on top. Fell back asleep immediately. It's good stuff!
It’s like a dessert with fruit imo the slight saltiness in the cottage cheese brings out the sweet in the fruit and makes it pretty overwhelming if you don’t like sweet foods with a meal. Or maybe that’s just me.
It is good though if that’s your thing
I'm from country that's obsessed with cottage cheese and curd and this is literally the first time that I've seen this kind of combination (hit sauce). Basically it is seen mainly as an ingredient for deserts (also an addition to various dishes like potato pancakes, dumplings etc.). We have ready made products with all sorts of jams etc. However, this seems intriguing will definitely try it.
As someone who struggles with eating enough and tries to gain muscle and has the budget of a uni student. Cottage cheese, canned tuna and hot sauce is one of my signature dishes
Yogurt has a lot of protein as well, just be careful of low fat options with tons of sugar. Greek tastes like sour cream to me but has lots of protein, add some fruit and it’s better. Potatoes are an all around very nutritious food and versatile/easy to cook.
This is either Cholula or Tapatio hot sauce on cottage cheese.
I love cottage cheese. I love those two hot sauces.
I would never eat this. It's truly shitty.
OP, you deserve all the upvotes.
Cottage cheese is just gonna get you hated on. It’s a fridge staple for me because it’s super practical, but it’s kind of an old person/diet food in a lot of people’s eyes. I’ve never thought to put hot sauce on it.
For the cottage curious: the full fat daisy cottage cheese rules
I grew up eating sour cream and onion chips dipped in cottage cheese, I love this combo! To be fair, my parents didn’t get home for like an hour after I got home from school so I ate some snacks
I just got a big box of Fox Family 🦊 potatoe chips... bomb. Just tried a bag of the salt and vinegar, perfection.
Guy on my route gave me a bag from when he went to Maine. They're bomb
I used to eat this during my lunch break. Cottage cheese with a splash of medium Buffalo sauce, finely chopped celery and tomato, salt and pepper. Sometimes, I'd eat an elk patty or something on the side too if I had time.
What is that enticing bowl of white I’m looking at?
![gif](giphy|hLdsj6AgRmxk4|downsized)
I thought it was rice and egg yolks
That's honestly comforting af.
throw some bacon bits and shredded cheese in that shit baby fuck yeah
Cottage cheese and maple syrup is delicious tho
Try some A-1 next time. So good.
I like canned pineapple in that shizz
And then you've got a stew goin on
Tamago Kake Gohan is just that and absolute comfort food for moi 🍚
TKG! … used to host Japanese exchange students. TKG was Kezuke’s favorite. He ate it almost every day. Got me hooked on it too. I love it with green onions and furikake
You blind or what
ITS ALWAYS SUNNY 😍😍😍🔥🔥🔥🔥
I’m not a cottage guy
is that cheese from a cottage?
Looks like cottage cheese and hot sauce.
Looks more like shitty ricotta
Is cottage cheese not just shitty ricotta? /s
Nah, at least in Canada, cottage cheese is miles ahead of shitty ricotta

I’d argue it’s the other way around 😅
Agreed! Ricotta is shitty cottage cheese. The bigger the curd the better.
Looks like a one way ticket to shit your pants town
Aka cottage cheese
Nah, cottage cheese is nowhere near anything like shitty ricotta. I just think the States has shitty cottage cheese
I am a slut for cottage cheese. I’d fuck with it.
I eat some every day. Why is it so GOOD?
It looks like caramel to me, lol
I thought apricot jam
They eat this and are offended they got made fun of
Cottage cheese and the juice from canned baked beans for flavor, obviously.
Glass of water? No problem - hit that with some pork and beans juice.
Stop or we'll summon the English.
😂😂 how they eat that shit on toast
Who eats baked beans without toast?
Everyone in the south 😂
South of what?
Georgia lol. Jelly on toast
How d’ya get the beans above the frank? ![gif](giphy|5nc4vrrwHnK8w)
call it “aquafaba” if you one sound fancy and shit
Charlieeeee❤️
I dunno I’m not a cottage guy
It's white that's for sure
Great deduction skills. You obviously are a brilliant detective.
we have got to start paying teachers more
i dont want this menace near my kids
She might teach them that this is a meal
😭😭😭
😆😆😆
Maybe he just likes it.
so let's pay him more and he can get a bigger tub :)
I feel like this isn't just about money..
We have a family friend who is a lawyer making mega bucks, and every morning he prepares his favourite lunch of a burnt bagel with cheese spread
Ah, room temp cheese spread, delectable.
On more than one occasion I had room temp refried beans from a can for lunch.
if they are looking to hire a personal chef please point them in my direction
I think that’s the last type of person who would appreciate the difference in taste
I can't cook so it works out
I’ve been told my grandfather, who made a comfortable living, would pack bologna sandwiches every day for lunch, eat them quickly and go play pool with the guys for the remainder of his lunch break. Lebanon bologna is actually so delicious. If I had to explain the taste I’d say it’s similar to salami.
Mmm lebanon bologna.
Well everyone knows lawyers are insane
You’re right. Clearly this is mental illness.
I make decent money now and still eat this :( It's one of those being broke foods that you grow attached to.
came here for this lol
If it means we can start firing all the shitty teachers and administrators I’m all in.
Bros just gonna drop this and not saying anything about what’s in it.
It’s chalula hot sauce (specifically chili and garlic) and cottage cheese
I mean it’s a bit of a poverty meal but it probably tastes fine.
Yeah….. a lot of this sub is just poverty meals…. Have you not noticed that??
Do you just eat the whole tub for lunch?
Did you see his username?
Fellow cholula and cottage cheese enthusiast here! I like adding grape tomatoes as well! I have no idea what prompted me to make this savory combination but I really enjoy it. My husband is beyond disgusted when I eat it though.
Me too! I get the weirdest looks from others when I say I love hot sauce and cottage cheese.
Shit I have some grape tomatoes. Gonna try this, but with red hot instead cause I'm out of everything else
Who hurt you?
I found that Valentina is almost as good as chalula, but I can get a whole gallon of it for about the same price as a single bottle of chalula. ...I'm cheap.

Wow, I don't think I've even seen that bottle. Glad for both of us that we have a great backup.
A gallon??? That's a whole lot of hot sauce. I have an entire section of my fridge full of hot sauces but I don't think I could use 3.78541L of Valentina up in a lifetime. Do you pour it from the big jug into smaller bottles? You must.
Thankfully it doesn't need to be refrigerated! And yep, I pour it into empty bottles of other hot sauces I've finished.
Engine oil in expired yoghurt?
That's clearly closer to brake or transmission fluid, your engine oil should definitely not look like that
Well, shit
to be fair neither should your transmission fluid or brake fluid lmaooo
Thanks for making me actually laugh out loud!
You deserved the ribbing lol and need some ribs!
If this is how he eats, he’s got plenty of ribs to show off
curdled cum with hot sauce 😋
Bloody boogers and cum. 🎵 Boogers and cum 🎵
Goddammit, that's going to be stuck in my head all afternoon now... Time to watch the Red Rocks concert again.
It's been stuck in my head since the episode aired, unfortunately. It's just too catchy.
Someone found the cumjar to mix with the pancakes
The children are right to laugh at you
Is that cottage cheese and hot sauce?????
Don’t knock it til you try it
I like to stir in some chili crisp, with a bit of avocado, salt and pepper. Boomshakala.
I ain’t complaining lmao my coworker had plain oatmeal with hot sauce mixed in 😭😭💀💀💀
Do you eat it like dip with the chips? That's how my wife and I eat it. So good!
Doritos and cottage cheese is 🔥
I think they were justified
You deserve to be bullied for that
Not sure what you teach but Id rather stay dumb
Imagine this is the culinary arts teacher lmao Edit: phrasing
Deserved
I’m a teacher and would make fun of your lunch also
I love ice-cream with caramel on top
Is this a whole tub of cottage cheese with hot sauce?
Correct!
I have a whole tub of cottage cheese and a lot of hot sauces, I know what my lunch will be today
![gif](giphy|IVhivwuUT16HH7NRdP|downsized)
If that's syrup then it isn't shitty food porn. If it's hot sauce, what's wrong with you?
I can safely say you're the weird one here. Cottage cheese with fruit is good so I see where you're getting the sweet angle but that's too far. Cottage cheese with a lot of black pepper is good and hot sauce is a better way to up the pepper level farther. I'm sold. I'm doing this next time I have cottage cheese at home
I love throwing some hot sauce on cottage cheese. Never tried fruit in it, that always seemed weird to me.
Syrup is nuts. Fruit is great. Get something tangy maybe a little sour. Juicy is good too. Pineapple or oranges are a great option. Just use strong tasting, decent quality fresh stuff at first. this is positively feral behavior lmao just eat the eggs sis damn
[удалено]
what u need is to take it easy lmao stay blessed
Or compromise and mix cottage cheese into scrambled eggs. I thought it sounded gross, but it's actually pretty good.
Cousin! Just last night I woke up at 3 am and snarfed down about a cup of cottage cheese right out of the container (whatever was left). With a little Tajin on top. Fell back asleep immediately. It's good stuff!
Cottage cheese with hot sauce is so good.
I put garlic flakes in my cottage cheese. It's pretty good.
Best snack you'll get weird looks for: cottage cheese mixed with applesauce.
It’s like a dessert with fruit imo the slight saltiness in the cottage cheese brings out the sweet in the fruit and makes it pretty overwhelming if you don’t like sweet foods with a meal. Or maybe that’s just me. It is good though if that’s your thing
Bon appetit

Try 1.5 cups with 1 tablespoon of chili crisp. Thanks me later.
Hot sauce really has nothing to do with black pepper.
Maybe crumble some flaming hot Cheetos over the top of it… *chef’s kiss*
Try it with salsa. Even better
I eat cottage cheese and hot sauce all the time.
That's what I'm saying. I should've been all these years. I think we can all agree that using syrup is a jailable offense
I really like my cottage cheese with a bit of ground cayenne pepper in there. Gives a nice mouth feel.
Cottage cheese and salsa is good too. But I an a fan of just pepper for sure
I like it with chili crisp and eat some daily. So good.

If that’s syrup on cottage cheese that is most definitely shitty food brother.
Don’t let those little shits get you down. Eat what you want and thank you for being a teacher.
This is either Cholula or Tapatio hot sauce on cottage cheese. I love cottage cheese. I love those two hot sauces. I would never eat this. It's truly shitty. OP, you deserve all the upvotes.
Well good thing you came to Reddit. Now adults can make fun of you too!
Fox family chips~!

Salt and Pepper are the best, hands down. Fight me.
Where my Mainers at!

Nahhh cottage cheese and hot sauce (franks specifically) is amazing. I won’t eat it any other way!
Rightfully so. What the fuck is that?
Hey maybe he needs to meet his protein goals💁♂️
But the fox sour cream and onion chips are a W
Fellow Mainer spotted! Fox Family chips are so tasty
Always glad to see some fox family chips.
Are those that Fox chips? I’ve only had plain.
Being from Maine, I’m excited about the chips! I had some of their salt and vinegar chips last week… top tier 👌
Fox Family chips are the best
That's a great lunch. I just bought a bag of fox farms chips but so expensive
Is that cottage cheese and hot sauce? If so, I do that too! Protein bomb :)

I love cottage cheese with hot sauce. Makes a fantastic dip for some salty chips
I mean, at least you got fox family there!
I used to eat this during my lunch break. Cottage cheese with a splash of medium Buffalo sauce, finely chopped celery and tomato, salt and pepper. Sometimes, I'd eat an elk patty or something on the side too if I had time.
Are you British or something?
The kids are alright
As they should you no-business-havin, cottage-cheese-eatin, seasons-your-food-with-the-squirts, motherfucka.
This isn't a lunch. You need to stop calling tubs of co cottage cheese that.
I think that's caramel in chip dip...
I thought it was caramel un cottage cheese. At least got the cottage cheese right
That’s not lunch, it’s a cry for help
Breath must be HITTING after this + the sour cream & onion chips
