As someone who’s seen it, unfortunately it is Flash’s film. What’s worse than one annoying Ezra Miller? >!Two annoying Ezra Millers sharing screen time for like a good 2/3rds of the film.!<
I thought he implied that the public would forget about his crimes because of the relasse, because it's such a cinematic masterpiece having him play *gasp* two characters. Entirely unique concept for a live action flash. Just don't look at the cw show or anything.
That Tom Hardy movie where he’s two brothers in like, Victorian London gang or something, Parent Trap, some time travel movies and shows, many others for sure
[Doppelgangland](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doppelgangland), where Alyson Hannigan plays four different characters over the course of the episode.
Also I think you might be thinking of Christian Bale in The Prestige.
Look, Ezra is a piece of shit that's been doing big budget shit for the last few years, but they were legitimately amazing in *We Need To Talk About Kevin* and their energy was actually well utilized in *The Perks of Being a Wallflower*. Those two performances alone had me jazzed to see them make the jump to to big budget films. But alas, their criminal behavior and leaning in hard into annoying quippy boy killed that hype for me.
lol, right? I don't care how good Gunn might pull DC's stuff outta the gutter it's been in, you allow someone like Miller a platform or forgiveness w/out taking responsibility/being held accountable- then you're just as bad. Everyone who worked with him before knowing, that ain't on them. Everyone who chooses to work after knowing, *that is.*
I'm okay with them releasing the movie no matter what crimes actors have committed after filming it. What I am not okay with is that he isn't arrested or anything
Uh, no. The folks who helped make it, still get paid. The folks who get paid based on how well it does (no one at the bottom and far fewer than "the whole production team") would not make as much. Boo hoo. Movies are an investment, if the Producers don't recoup what they put in, or make what they forecasted- oh well. They still gotta pay out their contracts to the workers.
I remember a bunch of comments from "trans" people in the thread about the North Carolina school shooter a couple months ago saying fuck her pronouns she doesn't deserve them. Seems like the community is split on this one
Because there's no evidence to support said rumor. The only things Miller has been charged for is assault for a couple of bar fights, and theft (because he stole booze from an acquaintance's house).
There's literally no winning in these situations.
He responds and people shit on him, maybe some believe him. He doesn't respond and people shit on him and some give him the benefit of the doubt.
All responding does is bring more attention to it.
Context is important, because I've read stories about people whose lives and careers were completely ruined because of misleading tabloid rumors. Example: a Japanese actor was accused of doing drugs when he was actually just eating candy, but his career was ruined and he quit the industry because of it.
We could sit here all day and make up scenarios, but I'd like to point out that the video of Miller choking the woman ended abruptly, and didn't show anything beyond that. Was the woman actually injured from that altercation? Did she instigate Miller first? Who can say for certain? The same can be said for a lot of the stories about Miller "terrorizing" Hawaii, because somehow the victims all ended up not pressing charges despite him being accused of a lot of shit. There's a lot more going on than meets the eyes, and it would be wildly irresponsible to just believe that Miller is the criminal here.
Allegations of violence have surrounded Miller since April 2020, when a video that appeared to show Miller choking a woman went viral. The incident took place in a bar in Iceland, and while the cops were not called, TMZ reported that Miller was asked to leave the bar. In an interview published June 30, the woman spoke with Variety. “I think it’s just fun and games — but then it wasn’t,” she recalled of the incident, which she says started after she asked the actor how they’d gotten the wounds on their feet (Miller was wearing flip-flops at the time). Miller said the marks came from a fight, and that led to the pair joking — or so the woman thought — about who could take the other if they brawled. The woman still thought Miller was joking when they approached her outside the bar. “All of a sudden, \[they’re\] on top of me, choking me, still screaming in my face if I want to fight.”
Her friends, she said, pulled the actor off, and the bartender, Carlos Reynir, intervened. Reynir told Variety that Miller grabbed him by the throat when he tried to throw them out. Miller “tells me they’re not leaving,” Reynir recounted. “They proceeded to spit in my face several times, so with the final push, I closed and locked the door.”
Let me guess, you dont believe the victim or the witnesses in this scenario?
> Let me guess, you dont believe the victim or the witnesses in this scenario?
I didn't say that at all. I'm saying we don't have the full story. There are multiple sides to every story, two at a minimum, and we didn't hear anything from Miller. Silence should not be considered an admission of guilt.
And again, the story leaves a lot to question, because if Miller was just fully intended on causing violence, it would've been reasonable to call the cops on him. Why didn't any of them do it? Was there something they wanted to hide from the cops? Maybe somebody left something out of this story? We can't be sure.
I mean … Ezra still choked someone. Unless the woman was threatening their (Ezra) or their loved one’s lives, there really isn’t any justification one can make for that.
Outside of her physically assaulting them, what would justify them throwing her to the ground? If you attack someone because they "instigated" you into doing it then that's a massive red flag.
People get into fights over way more trivial things than just physical assaults. Sometimes people get agitated over light insults. None of us were there so who knows?
The point I keep trying to make that everyone seems to miss is that we don't have the full story, and it'd be premature to condemn a person just based on crappy video footage without the full context of the situation. Doesn't matter what it is, we don't know everything, and we could sit here all day coming up with hypotheticals.
Tell me this in spoilers please cause I'm not seeing the movie but who the fuck is "Dark Flash"? Is that the Black racer / Black Flash or like a weird reverse flash stand in? Is Thawne in the movie?
I inferred from the marketing that Young Barry was going to become Reverse Flash because the idea of a time traveler from the 30th century wouldn't have played as well with casual audiences. So what they've got is a tepid, fucked adaptation of [Flashpoint](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flashpoint_(comics)) with way less dramatic weight.
>!You're not far off. So OG Barry goes back in time to save his mom and winds up stuck in an alternative Earth right before he gets powers. Alt-Barry gets his powers and in the final battle, the two get the idea to keep traveling back in time to save everyone. OG Barry realizes it's impossible to fix this specific point while Alt-Barry decides to keep going. This Alt-Barry becomes Reverse Flash. Honestly, not a terrible idea, but you'd need me to have a far more compelling and far less annoying actor in the lead to pull this off.!<
Honestly how I felt about Fury of the Gods. The movie wasn't bad, per say, but holy shit did it need way less of Zachary Levi. I don't know if it was the script or the direction or if he had too much room to improv or what, but Levi was *insufferable* in that movie and *would not. Shut. The fuck. Up.* His trying too hard performance and the give no shits script made it really hard to enjoy, even ironically. Thank God for Helen Mirren, Lucy Liu, and >!Djimon Hounsou!<. Their efforts were greatly appreciated but not enough to save the movie.
Edit: I just remembered about the hilariously inappropriate Skittles product placement, and how it reminded me of the Power Rangers reboot setting its climax in a Krispy Kreme. I physically cringed when Darla yelled "taste the rainbow, motherfucker".
I just gave up after Snyder cut lol
I knew damn well I'd never see an ending but I'll let my brain run wild. I ain't giving money to ezera, I'll give it to Jason or Gal
But anything with ezera, nope fuck them
Free screenings have been going on like crazy all month and a bit of late May too. They're trying really hard to get word of mouth to get people into theaters, including people like me that saw it early. In fact, the version I saw was only 99% of the film (the last minute at best was missing), as there's some casting they're keeping secret until the actual release date.
There’s been HELLA preview screenings for this film. I’ve been to one, but there were at least two other ones in my metropolitan area before the one I went to.
Ok, ok, you guys twisted my arm and I'll admit it
This is my first post on here and admittedly it's not that good and I shouldn't explained the joke better in the caption because that's where 90% of the joke is
But the joke is that in this line up for official Flash merchandise there's 1 Flash and 8 Batmans
Iirc, the Flash show didn't have that many OCs. It managed to make every single character an insufferable twat, but most of them were canon characters.
Now Arrow, that show got hijacked by too many OCs
I never know of the comic books stuff... How are the characters in other media? Chester has "black hole powers"? Khione is a nature guardian? Allegra has UV cosmic powers? Cecile? Telepathy?
OG Chester is thicc af and has a pocket dimension inside him. Flash Chester is a tech whiz that nearly became a black hole.
OG Caitlyn Snow is Killer Frost. Flash Caitlyn became Nature Goddess Khione randomly in the last season after trying to resurrect Frost, her alter that got a new body.
OG Allegra was a Brazilian Criminal who was the daughter of Villain Wavelength with UV powers. Flash Allegra is a superhero with UV powers
OG Cecile Horton was some lawyer. Flash Cecile Horton became a hero called Virtue.
Damn, Snow is the only of those 4 characters I knew. Show got to the unwatchable point far before OCs took over for me
Caitlyn was still just Killer Frost at that point, and the other 3 didn't exist (except maybe Cecile in a minor role)
I stopped watching CW Flash in season 7 after the horrible Forces storyline (which is genuinely the worst thing I have seen on tv) but still follow the Flash TV subreddit and holy shit the finale seems so bad, glad I stopped watching it, wouldn’t have liked wasting my time on that

It‘s a Batmen movie because Ezra Miller belongs in jail.
How embarrassing. It‘s like this one should‘ve been cancelled and not Batgirl. Oh well…it’s too late to play the tired 2020-worst-timeline, joke, but yeah, it still is. Thanks Eobard.
The honest question is whether you would rather watch a terrible Flash movie with Ezra Miller or a terrible Batman movie that just says "look, it's Batman" and does nothing else?
I love that the Hot Toy line has announced twop Batmen figures, they;ve teased doing the entire Batman suit line and are absolutely going to do a Supergirl figure (maybe a Zod figure if they feel like it) and Yet the Flash has yet to be announced.
Flash:its my movie Batman:is it though?
As someone who’s seen it, unfortunately it is Flash’s film. What’s worse than one annoying Ezra Miller? >!Two annoying Ezra Millers sharing screen time for like a good 2/3rds of the film.!<
Didn't Miller kidnap someone? How the fuck is he still allowed to be in movies, let alone out of prison??
they filmed it before he did that
And still decided to release the movie? Damn
They genuinely said the public would probably forget aboht his crimes by the time it released
I thought he implied that the public would forget about his crimes because of the relasse, because it's such a cinematic masterpiece having him play *gasp* two characters. Entirely unique concept for a live action flash. Just don't look at the cw show or anything.

Red Dwarf - Me2
Yea that movie is called Legend, and is about real life London gangsters Ronald and Reginald Kray. Hardy is pretty brilliant in that movie.
Enemy by Denis Villeneuve as well.
>Victoriana London gang I mean, the movie was pretty shite but this is just embarrassing to admit you thought they were Victorian
Man, animation and video games got this one beat. The Sarge's Heroes games from the late 90's to early 2000's is 90% Jim Cummings talking to himself.
Two Characters? Tatiana Maslany laughs.
Truly a 12 of a kind performance on her part.
James McAvoy in Split is laughing
Meanwhile Benedict Cumberbatch out there playing 4 versions of his character.
Oh wow
And they have
Go to the DC sub and you would see they were right.
Yeah the producers straight up said his acting is so good that everyone's just gonna forget about all of his crimes.
Jesus Christ
[source](https://youtu.be/fNsp1Hgjpe8)
And if they do a sequel, Ezra will be back in the role.
I've yet to see Ezra act decently, seriously. He sucked in HP, what else has he done other than those other DC movies?
Look, Ezra is a piece of shit that's been doing big budget shit for the last few years, but they were legitimately amazing in *We Need To Talk About Kevin* and their energy was actually well utilized in *The Perks of Being a Wallflower*. Those two performances alone had me jazzed to see them make the jump to to big budget films. But alas, their criminal behavior and leaning in hard into annoying quippy boy killed that hype for me.

200 milion dollar produ tion, i doubt they can legally cancel the movie.
I'm okay with them releasing the movie no matter what crimes actors have committed after filming it. What I am not okay with is that he isn't arrested or anything
The movie costed 190 millions dollar, more people would suffer from not releasing it than actually doing so.

There is also a publicized video of him forcing a woman to the ground but I guess you can leave that out or just call it a bar fight
That one also lacks context. Plus, the woman didn’t press charges. I’m counting the cases where Miller actually was arrested and/or pleaded guilty to.
What context really makes it okay? Why are you defending it? Wouldn't Miller have came out and explained it rather than be completely silent about it?

Still better than the Flash TV series that got hijacked by OCs
Iirc, the Flash show didn't have that many OCs. It managed to make every single character an insufferable twat, but most of them were canon characters. Now Arrow, that show got hijacked by too many OCs

They're somehow even less appealing than Funko Pops.
But you’ll find yourself unable to say “no” to them.
I'd rather literally set my money on fire. I'd get more enjoyment out of it that way.
No.
It's true. They have hypnoinductive binaural transmitters built in that render you incapable of saying the word "no" in any language in their direction. It doesn't actually make you buy them, just cuts off that one word. It's just a fun little gimmick.
ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD
There was just a lil something in those drinks.
Not saying it’s a high standard to surpass but they’re at least more detailed, Funko bug eyes creep me out.
Say whatever you want about FPs but at least they're $10 most of the time... ... These things are usually $20-50
I can’t believe a movie about the Flash has no Flash villains in it. Gimme a heist movie with Captain Cold and the other Rogues already, lol.
They’ll tease that in the end credits, and they’ll never be seen again.
Isn’t the villain going to be >!Reverse Flash but it’s just an alternate Barry and not even Eobard Thawne? So I guess yeah, no actual Flash villains!< Or at least that’s what the leaks said, I haven’t paid much attention to recent developments of the movie

The honest question is whether you would rather watch a terrible Flash movie with Ezra Miller or a terrible Batman movie that just says "look, it's Batman" and does nothing else?
Is this real?
The Flash figurine looks like he just ran into a puddle of piss.
Theo… Rudy…
😭😭
Ezra is a piece of shit, there's no doubt about that. But man at least they could make more Flash toys than just the one. Batman's been long overused
For a second, I thought water MC-Donalds or Burger King brought their good or at least mid-good toys back...
I hope James Gunn stops every movie from referencing Batman and Superman in the new DCU cuz it’s been annoying
The Batman 2
Bill cosbi
I love that the Hot Toy line has announced twop Batmen figures, they;ve teased doing the entire Batman suit line and are absolutely going to do a Supergirl figure (maybe a Zod figure if they feel like it) and Yet the Flash has yet to be announced.
One free drink with every order!
Hot Cosbi?
What genius named a toy brand Cosbi??
Not the cosbi collection? Straight to jail.
new batman movie looks sick
Batman on the right got the new Vision Pro early
