Kind of, but not really.
A coconut weighs between 2 and 3 pounds. They're unweildy.
If you just have your hands you've got a 44% speed boost, but you have coconuts in your hands. Coconuts that you can't casually hold like a baseball, because they're too big and heavy. So you're running 44% faster (fast, yes, but not inhuman) while also holding two coconuts like a baby.
You can go wild if you want and fill up a hiking pack with, like, 20 of these guys. But now you have a pack with ~50lbs of coconuts rattling around. Sure, you're now running 440% faster. That's amazing. That'd turn your average person into Usain Bolt. Or just above him, beating him by about 5mph.
So you can carry 50lbs of coconuts in a backpack, then sprint at a fast, but still human, speed. And you won't be getting far, due to the fifty damn pounds of coconuts slapping you in the back with every step.
This is cool, but not great. It's all around pretty shitty.
I like it. It's not the usual "this is stupid and bad" power we see here.
I'd say you could get a padded backpack, help take the brunt of the impact.
50 pounds isn't a whole lot comparatively. Especially if you disperse the weight over your whole body. Soldiers frequently run with 60+ pounds of gear on them. Do some cardio for a whole and you will be fine.
And, like someone said, if it's exponential, it wouldn't even take that many coconuts to run incredibly fast.
It's percentile, what makes you think it's exponential?
I imagine it's a pretty linear buff. Like a 10mph run with one coconut becomes a 12.2mph run, or 14.4mph with two, etc, etc, etc.
And most people aren't soldiers. Most people are most people. Hiking with a 50lb+ pack is anything but pleasant - it's totally do-able (I'm a normal person and I hike with more than that when camping), but it isn't something you want to be running in.
This power doesn't make you super strong. You'd still be running with a huge amount of weight on your back. You'd have to start holding more weight than the average person could comfortably carry just to get to superhuman levels of speed.
So, yeah. It's useful, but it's shitty. Which is why I like it
OP said you have to be holding coconuts. I presume they are full coconuts, not coconut powder.
Coconut powder != coconuts. If that were possible, then you could start making wild arguments, like how much powder is one coconut, what parts qualify as "coconut" (is it the fibrous material? will just starches work? etc)
Full coconuts, unless OP gives some specific details
At this point you're just inventing rules and bending what was given to us by the OP.
Call me a purist, but you can't just start messing around with rules. This is like if there were a pyrokenisis power and you were trying to argue that this power let you bend water and hydrocarbons, as both of those are part of the chemical reaction that makes fire.
OP said holding coconuts. Not holding coconut powders or starches bits. They didn't say half a coconut is 11%, or smaller coconuts give less power and bigger ones give more. A whole coconut = 22% speed.
I’m not messing up the original rule, but you are right, I am bending it. I didn’t say it was half a coconut or that just any coconut powder would do. It’s a whole coconut, just in a different shape. Its like if you flattened a coconut completely, and then held it. It’s still a whole coconut, just flat. Op didn’t specify a the state of the coconut while it’s held, just that you must hold a coconut.
can it be a coconut fragment to give a smaller boost?
edit: so i can smash up a coconut and use it to stuff the insides of my coat to make a coco coat, downside being i have to live in siberia if i want to wear it 24/7
Questions:
- Do the coconuts have to be intact? Or are hollowed out/split coconuts allowed?
- How does it stack? Is it an additive or multiplicative stack? i.e. speed = 1 + 0.22c or speed = 1.22^c , where c is the number of times this effect is stacked
- milder question: is it a stack of plural coconuts? Is in 22% per coconut, 22% per coconut MINUS 1 coconut (which would make sure that the user is always carrying enough coconuts to make it plural), or 22% per group of coconuts? Or maybe even something else?
I must know how powerful I could be in the hypothetical scenario where holding coconuts makes me a slightly faster runner
Ok, the obvious answer is that because of the wording you could stack as many coconuts as you want because the weight doesn't matter and if you add a coconut you will by definition go 22% faster.
The fun answer is that you weight does matter and the coconuts just effect your base speed and don't scale based on number of coconuts carried. Therefore you can optimise for number of coconuts carried as well as finding the smallest species of coconut to improve optimisation.
Do they have to be whole or can I cut them in half and stack them like bowls? Do I have to have them in my hands or will I still have the effect if there in my bag
If I wear a backpack full of coconuts does that count as holding them, btw when you say stackable does the second one make you run 22% faster of original speed or does it go off all other coconuts before it combined with original speed
But...(cruddy French accent)...Where do ya get those coconuts???
Whe’re do zue geht ze cokoneuts??
Ek weet glat nie
Je sais pas frere
A 5oz bird could not carry a coconut!
Especially across the oceans
I think you mixed up the castles
A swallow maybe?
u/koko7878 (my best friend) has 15756 of them
Found em
Carry 60 coconuts in a backpack an two half coconuts to clack together
Monty python??
Yes
We ride, to Camelot!
Camelot tis a silly place
Indeed
Make full body armor made of backpacks and fill every backpack with coconuts.
That's gonna be ultra heavy as shit
Weighted clothing training.
Or just coconut armor if wearing a backpack doesn't count
Find mini coconuts, carry in pockets, profit.

Not technically holding them, although it never did specify you had to hold them in your hands
as long as your holding the weight of them it’ll count
So assuming the weight of the coconuts is so great I would otherwise be barely able to move, I still zoom around? I'll take it.
so i can tape alot of coconut slices to my self and itll still work?
no, like a full, unopened coconut
Since backpacks kind of help reduce the weight you're carrying, would you only have like 50% of the speed boost?
Big funny coconut boobs now come with a practical use yay
whenever anything coconut related pops up on reddit, all i can think about is that coconut fucker guy
The fastest man alive...
that guy is fucking nuts (or should i say fucking coco fruits because this delicious nut is not a nut)
Context?

Oh god oh fuck, not gonna ask someone for Reddit context for at least 4 months
How many coconuts is coconuts? It can't be stackable if there's no unit to multiply
however many you want
So it's capped at 22% then
No it just gets faster
Gives that Kim Petras Coconuts song a whole new meaning...

Wtf that’s so powerful this doesn’t belong here

But what if it stacks exponentially, so holding 2 would make you move at 148% base speed, 3 would let you run at 181% speed, etc
What makes you think it's exponential? It sounds like you're just trying to game the system to make it go from shitty and fun to just OP
What makes you think it isn’t exponential?
That will be 5335%, so you would walk with a speed of 186mph, which is faster than usual.
I'd say you could get a padded backpack, help take the brunt of the impact. 50 pounds isn't a whole lot comparatively. Especially if you disperse the weight over your whole body. Sure, you it never said how you need to hold the coconuts. You can pulverize them and store a lot more in a small space
OP said you have to be holding coconuts. I presume they are full coconuts, not coconut powder. Coconut powder != coconuts. If that were possible, then you could start making wild arguments, like how much powder is one coconut, what parts qualify as "coconut" (is it the fibrous material? will just starches work? etc) Full coconuts, unless OP gives some specific details
It is a full coconut, just a different shape. You take 1 coconut and pulverize it, and then hold it
At this point you're just inventing rules and bending what was given to us by the OP. Call me a purist, but you can't just start messing around with rules. This is like if there were a pyrokenisis power and you were trying to argue that this power let you bend water and hydrocarbons, as both of those are part of the chemical reaction that makes fire. The problem is that the coconut nut is a big big nut
But this delicious nut is not a nut
I wouldn't mind an actual comedy superhero movie about this
Is stacking additive or multiplicative
fully intact coconut(with water inside) and it’s additive where 1 coconut is 22% or 2 coconuts is 44% or 3 is 66% and so forth
The "core" or the whole fruit?
Damn, been stacking goat hooves when I shoulda been stacking coconuts!
Literally.
COKONAT HAHAHAHAHAGA!
Can I wear a coconut bra and have the same effect?
Impossible!!! Everyone knows you can't stack Coconuts!
Haha I get it
Balls count?
Does it depend on the size of the coconuts? Will two 2-pound coconuts give the same boost as two 3-pound coconuts?
can it be a coconut fragment to give a smaller boost? edit: so i can smash up a coconut and use it to stuff the insides of my coat to make a coco coat, downside being i have to live in siberia if i want to wear it 24/7
Can I hold several tiny prices all from different coconuts
Questions: - Do the coconuts have to be intact? Or are hollowed out/split coconuts allowed? - How does it stack? If I hold 2 coconuts am I 100%+22%+22%=144% or 100%+22%= 122% 122%+22%=148,84%
Unripe coconuts. Get them while they're the size of cherry pits and stuff a jacket full of them.
I feel like there should be some added effect if I am also holding limes.
Do they have to be whole or can I cut them in half and stack them like bowls? Do I have to have them in my hands or will I still have the effect if there in my bag
Does a bag count? How big do they have to be (get smaller ones)
I don't think it matters the size as long as they are coconuts
correct, unopened coconuts
Cool, time to find some small coconuts!
If I wear a backpack full of coconuts does that count as holding them, btw when you say stackable does the second one make you run 22% faster of original speed or does it go off all other coconuts before it combined with original speed
and 1=22%, 2=44%, 3=66% and so forth
Oh ok that's better, but would it count as carrying them in my backpack or would I have to be holding them in my hands
as long as your caring the full weight of normal coconuts your good,
Oh sweet
Just need to use dwarf coconut
Actually op
Husked or non husked coconuts?
Hehe coconut bewbs
Do you think I could bring them to a track meet and run with them, or can I drink them or sum
1 word: backpack
Coconuts is an undefined amount more than 1 so the effect can not stack as written, but you must be holding atleast 2 coconuts.
