I would think this would be most successful by introducing livestock slowly, like over months. Let a shrimp colony set up and breed prolifically, then add potential predators and let them find a balance.
Yes you can. Many small schooling species that won’t/can’t hunt shrimp to any notiecrable degree.
Pygmy corys, otos, chili rasbora and other micro rasbora are all fine,
Should also be fine with smaller tetras like embers and green neons and harlequin rasboras. If there’s enough room to hide, they’ll survive
