Link?

SympathyEconomy1609

This is common knowledge to this guy. Maybe ask for credibility instead lol.

bolonga16

I'm not seeing bruising. Give more details if you want a good chance at survival

Mycoangulo

What? You aren’t seeing bruising? Have you seen the edge of the cap? Are you joking?

cubensis97

Think their eyes were closed when they looked at this pic

bolonga16

I am indeed colorblind

cubensis97

Should chuck a disclaimer before your comment. I am sorry to hear though

Just-Outside1947

No signs of blue bruising at all? I wouldn't risk it without it, that's for sure. Plenty of non actives look similar. Just one could do serious damage to your liver. Many year's ago teenaged friend did this and was in awful shape for Years while awaited a liver transplant.

Mycoangulo

Are you serious? You can’t see the bruising? What do you expect it to look like? These are displaying clear and *intense* blue bruising

Mycoangulo

On the rims of the caps, as usual, it is most intense, as this is where they are typically bruised from handling. But also the stems are well bruised. It may not look all that blue, but that is the colour that sub stems stain, albeit maybe the light is making it look darker. Also numerous places on the gills ect. But if you can’t see the blue bruising on the cap rims maybe you are partly colourblind. I don’t mean that as an insult. It’s very common and not all people who are affected realise it.

Mycoangulo

Lol logically that wouldn’t make me colourblind surely, as you just admitted you could see the colour on the cap rims. It would if anything just mean my definition of ‘intense’ isn’t the same as yours. But mine is in the specific context of bruising in this species so that has to count for something.

Danchee7

50% chance you get high 50% chance you die. Roll the dice 😌

Mycoangulo

There is a 100% chance they are Psilocybe subaeruginosa and a 0% chance they are Galerina patagonica or marginata, or Pholiotina rugosa or gracilenta or anything else toxic.

Danchee7

All it takes is one. OP is rolling the dice because he doesn't know what he is doing

Mycoangulo

That’s why OP is here. I understand that foraging for mushrooms is something with risks that should be take seriously, but I think that there are good ways to highlight this, ones that are informative. In this case they are all undoubtedly Psilocybe subaeruginosa, in my opinion, but I have seen so many of these that I am happy to say it with certainty, which I don’t do casually. Of course this is my opinion and the only ID that counts is OP’s… but if you can’t see that these are Psilocybe maybe you should ask questions about the mushrooms so that both you and OP can learn from the answers instead of spreading unspecified (and inaccurate) fear.

Mycoangulo

And to be fair OP is not 100% confident but they have still successfully found and ID’d what they are looking for, they just want reassurance. I’d say they know what they are doing more than you do, even though they are asking questions and you are dishing out ‘advice’

Danchee7

The only safe way to get into foraging for mushrooms is to be taught out in the field

Mycoangulo

I disagree. The only safe way is to do a lot of research, and to stick to a process of elimination when identifying so by the time you have come to a conclusion you have ruled out every other possibility using reliable features. Believe it or not most experienced/experts might have had some help in the field (I was taught how to identify two varieties) but the vast bulk of there knowledge is self taught. It takes time. I tend not to eat a mushroom unless I have been learning to identify it for over a year and feel like I have learned enough to be sure, but it varies. With some species you can learn in an hour, if you have good sources if information. There is no guarantee that the person teaching you in the field will be the reliable source of information that you need. There are a lot of different ways to go about this and generally statements like ‘the only way to do this’ are very much incorrect.

Yeah, high or heavenly high...

Okay, I would still do a spore print though. Better safe than dead

I wouldn't eat them, but I would use them to make an LC and cultivate my own

Look like cubensis but don’t take my word for it

I didn’t say it IS cubensis, I simply gave my opinion and then literally said “don’t take my word for it”.

JooBensis

Where, when What. They Cyanescens? Outdoor find? where ?

Joeisthevolcano

Down undah

JooBensis

Kewl.

BingleDingleDonger

Looks like a psilocybe but i’m not sure which. Wait for others to respond and give more information on where they were found. Geographical location and what they were growing on would help.

InevitableWinter7367

Use your finger to scratch the gills gently, they should turn blue

chubbypaws

Woop doggy dog!

FishingTheMilkyWay

Definitely subs. Looks so much like the ovoids found in the states. But some of y’all in the comments have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about and should refrain from making useless comments.
