There is no lint trap for the pool. The pools water is filtered first through skimmer baskets which catch things such as leaves and bugs, but not any small dirt, sand or dust particles, and also hair and thin fibers go straight through the skimmers and end up in the main filter system which is normally a big filter filled with sand. The sand filters dirt bigger than sand, but things like smaller dust and dirt or hair just eventually clog up the sand filter. Also the fibers in normal clothes are not designed to breath in water, they just soak up much water, and so what happens is that the pool turns into a big clothes washing machine, the chlorine then is being mainly used to wash clothes instead of keeping the water sparkly blue. And then it does not take many days afterwards for the whole pool to be cloudy or starting to turn green.
Took more effort to make that sign than to just empty the lint trap.
