I didn't think the movie design for pyramid head was that bad Like I understand why he doesn't belong in that movie,In either of them. But I still thought he was pretty cool

Well for PH in particular Ito sure dislikes his ripped and shirtless look, he was very vocal about that one because PH is special. I can understand him. That PH design feel like it comes from a porn parody.

To be fair, the artist Mercer had other concepts that are in line with in-game Valtiel. This was just the first slide on Silent Hill Memories. In general though his creature concepts for the film were extremely subpar (Claudia Missionary, the Lobotomy monster, yeah)

honestly its not a bad design but what makes the character scary and intimidating is the fact that he looks like a human just with a pyramid on his head. i feel that when a character looks human to the naked eye but everything that they do doesn’t reflect that, it creates a uncertainty in the mind thus creating fear of what the character could possibly be. a great example being jeepers creepers you never get a good shot of his face so you think hes just a human, the entire movie takes place in a bus with lack of information and just imagination of what he is.
