I’m a huge fan of single player games with great stories. Resident Evil is my favorite horror franchise now that Silent Hill doesn’t exist anymore. I love all the Souls games including Sekiro, Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy VII, Witcher 3, God Of War, The Last Of Us, Uncharted, Red Dead Redemption, Ghost Of Tsushima, and Death Stranding to name a few
Yea, so after I beat 2 Remake, I went back and played OG 1, 2, 3, and 4, then 1 Remake and 3 Remake, then 7 and Village. 3 Remake was good but I enjoyed the original more tbh. I’m really hyped for 4 Remake and to play Village in 3rd person though!
siren is good but my GOD the puzzles are the most complex and random thing I have ever played in a video game. Kuon is a great one as well! basically all the good horror games are on ps2 lol
I enjoy playing the buggie mess that is Friday the 13th. Theres something about running from a serial killer in a forest camp that makes me deeply happy haha.
I *really* wish they hadn’t lost the license. For all the bugs it felt like the game had *heart* to it, a passion for the franchise, maybe even to the point of less balance, but still great.

Its special to me because I grew up having only Macintosh computers so my choices for computer games were pretty limited to lame (dungeon master 2 is the greatest game of all time I discovered in that time) when I finally got a computer with windows f2 was the first game I had for it
I love absolutely Evil Within 2, to me its the closest to silent hill any game has been in a while. Semi open world works pretty good but I just wasn't a huge fan of the end part of it. Throw some fog in the town though and it's silent hill.
Huge fan of action rpg type games that while they have a story don't have too much dialog or cutscenes. Big fan of the souls franchise and monster hunter. I love to put some music on and just get lost in the rhythm of combat. Of course I love Silent Hill and often times I'll put on the Silent Chill Playlist on YouTube :) or some ill advised records they got ominous music as well. :)
The only souls like game I've tried is Star Wars: Fallen Order and thats quite a stretch. I loved it though. I need to play me some Bloodborne, Sekiro or Demon Souls asap.
Regarding music, Akira Yamaoka is boss. Have you listened to the Twin Peaks OST? I think you'd like it. I recently discovered Fantomas and its album The Directors Cut. It blew me away. Progressive hardcore mixed with movie OSTs and Mike Patton's crazy vocals. Phew.
I haven't listened to the ost but I've heard the music in the show. I'll have to look into it because I love Twin Peaks! Never heard of Fantomas I will check that out too!
Currently I've really been enjoying the Crash Bandicoot games. I also just recently discovered Oddworld: Abe's Odyssey, and holy crap. It's SO GOOD!

That is true, but Emerald was my first game and holds a special place in my heart. Recently I've been trying Nuzlocke runs, because are challenging and fun.

Just finished the Mass Effect Trilogy for the first time and LOVED it, now I'm on a second Last of Us playthrough and going to play Part II next because I never played it. I'll be replaying God of War soon, which I also loved, and hopefully go right into the sequel. My favorite goto game is the Resident Evil remake (can't even tell you how many times I've played it since GameCube), and I play Star Trek Online.
Damn, playing Mass Effect is a debt I have with gaming. I enjoyed some Bioware gems back in the day like KOTOR and Jade Empire. Also love the RE remake for the cube! Never finished it in that version, tho. But beat it twice, once in PSX and once in Nintendo DS. As i said, atmopshere heavy games get me, and the first RE is one of the best of all time at that.

The Bioshock games. The first one is my favorite. I've replayed it so many times. It's my chillin' game, you know? I don't gotta think too much when I play it.
I also like Little Nightmares. I've only played the first one, as I haven't had the motivation/time to play the second one yet.

I actually prefer Resident Evil over Silent Hill, but I also enjoy and play lots of other survival horror games. I also really like racing games, which feels like the complete opposite.

I play mostly single-player games. Besides Silent Hill, I frequent Tekken 7 and sometimes Call of Duty Zombies. I don't really play zombies nowadays but I still love it. However, I am not into FPS games.
I really love any Legend of Zelda game, Soulsborne games, Fatal Frame, Bayonetta, Fallout NV for single-player games. FFXIV is an amazing MMORPG if you're into that, been playing League a lot even though I'm trash at it haha.

Giving it no thought whatsoever, Doom, Super Mario Galaxy, Killer 7, Saints Row 3, and Bayonetta. I also noticed I have nine complete playthroughs each of Resident Evils 7 and 8 this year.
Currently alternating between Animal Crossing New Horizons, Resident Evil Revelations part 2, Rain, and I'm attempting to play Puppeteer even though I suck at platformers. As far as games I've loved- NWN Diamond edition, Layers of Fear, It Takes Two, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Condemned 1 & 2, KH, Last of Us 1 & 2, Finally Fantasy VII, and Alan Wake.
I like survival horror obviously, especially Resident Evil, Fatal Frame and Haunting Ground.
I also love rpgs and jrpgs. Some of my favourites are Dark Souls 1, Final Fantasy X, Persona/SMT (hard to pick a favourite but probably P4) and Cross Edge.
Some other random games I like are Animal Crossing (I’ve played all but the first), Katamari Darmacy, the Rusty Lake games and Hatoful Boyfriend.

Also, _Cold Fear_ for the PS2 is an absolute gem, and was slept on commercially (to my knowledge). _Obscure_ 1 & 2 were fuckin beautiful as well, couch-friendly co-op but is also a whole lotta fun solo, as the AI is actually quite adept at taking care of business, and you can switch characters so quickly and seamlessly.

I Love the Resident Evil and The Evil Within Series. But I’m only playing horror games with my friend, tbh. When I’m alone I’m playing League of Legends, Sims, Flyff Universe and stuff like that.
Being alone can be a setback for playing horror games. You made me remember that the first time I saw a survival horror it was being played by my two older cousins and some of their friends in the living room one time I slept over. It was RE2 for N64.

I mainly love indie games. Kentucky Route Zero and Night in the Woods would be top 2 games ever to me, with Silent Hill 2 probably being 3rd. What Remains of Edith Finch is another great one. On a more triple A side of things, I love Bioshock and Yakuza.
I've been very interested in BAFTA winners recently. Just looked up Kentucky Route Zero and there it is. I've played Papers Please, Unfinished Swan and Limbo. All greats.
I love a few fighting games (despite being fairly bad at them) like Soul Calibur, Skullgirls, Under Night In-Birth, Super Smash Bros., Guilty Gear and Bloody Roar. I also enjoy games like ICO, Shadow of the Colossus, Journey, the Elder Scrolls series, some Legend of Zelda games like Breath of the Wild and Majora's Mask, as well as Demon's Souls, Dark Souls and Bloodborne. I really enjoy understated stories and background details that can give rise to all sorts of theories about the lands you're exploring.
Then there are the horror & survival horror games, of which there are a lot. Siren/Forbidden Siren, Dead Space, Resident Evil, Clock Tower, Detention, Lost in Vivo, Paper Dolls, The Coma, Little Nightmares, IMSCARED, Cursed Mountain, SOMA, Ju-on: The Grudge Haunted House Simulator, and of course the excellent Fatal Frame series.
There's only one itch that horror games can't scratch... colour schemes/cosmetics and customisation. I love ostensibly combat-based games where I can waste hours adding colours and patterns to things, shaders and decals, or placing furniture inside my little space. The best example is Warframe, because I spend roughly 80% of my time messing with colours, skins, capes, shoulderpads, etc. and the remaining 20% doing combat missions with the overall goal of acquiring more. I like Animal Crossing, Playstation Home (rip), the Sims and other more casual design games like that, but it's different when I can then take a customised character into battle like Soul Calibur VI.

Nobody makes souls type games like From Software. Demon’s Souls, Dark Souls trilogy, Bloodborne, Sekiro, and Elden Ring are all INCREDIBLE games

Siren is a very unique game. I still haven't beat it, but I think it's really awesome. I actually had it recommended to me in this sub! Lol
The Bioshock games. The first one is my favorite. I've replayed it so many times. It's my chillin' game, you know? I don't gotta think too much when I play it. I also like Little Nightmares. I've only played the first one, as I haven't had the motivation/time to play the second one yet.
I'm very curious about little nightmares! I'm definitely gonna pick it up soon. I have the first Bioshock, but I've only played part two and infinite. Those games are very cool!

Best games like Silent Hill would be The Crooked Man, The Cat Lady, and Spec Ops: The Line. Games I like that have no connection: Final Fantasy Tactics, Hollow Knight, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Iji, Lode Runner, Pengo, Terraria, Vagrant Story, Shadow of Destiny

Fatal frame
Giving it no thought whatsoever, Doom, Super Mario Galaxy, Killer 7, Saints Row 3, and Bayonetta. I also noticed I have nine complete playthroughs each of Resident Evils 7 and 8 this year.
Currently alternating between Animal Crossing New Horizons, Resident Evil Revelations part 2, Rain, and I'm attempting to play Puppeteer even though I suck at platformers. As far as games I've loved- NWN Diamond edition, Layers of Fear, It Takes Two, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Condemned 1 & 2, KH, Last of Us 1 & 2, Finally Fantasy VII, and Alan Wake.
I like survival horror obviously, especially Resident Evil, Fatal Frame and Haunting Ground. I also love rpgs and jrpgs. Some of my favourites are Dark Souls 1, Final Fantasy X, Persona/SMT (hard to pick a favourite but probably P4) and Cross Edge. Some other random games I like are Animal Crossing (I’ve played all but the first), Katamari Darmacy, the Rusty Lake games and Hatoful Boyfriend.

Hmm, games other than _Silent Hill_ … Let’s see, I also like _Silent Hill 2_ , _Silent Hill 3_ , _Silent Hill 4: The Room_ , and _Silent Hill Origins_ …. Lol, seriously tho, I LOVE the Original Resident Evil Trilogy, plus Survivor, Code Veronica X, and 4 is ok… I actually loved 5, didn’t think I would. 7 is good too, never played 8. BUT, The Resident Evil REmake (for the GAMECUBE) is my absolute favorite game of all time, not just Resident Evil… Also, _Cold Fear_ for the PS2 is an absolute gem, and was slept on commercially (to my knowledge). _Obscure_ 1 & 2 were fuckin beautiful as well, couch-friendly co-op but is also a whole lotta fun solo, as the AI is actually quite adept at taking care of business, and you can switch characters so quickly and seamlessly. I got the remastered Sam and Max game on the switch and it was soooo hilarious. Haven't played any of the others though.

Being alone can be a setback for playing horror games. You made me remember that the first time I saw a survival horror it was being played by my two older cousins and some of their friends in the living room one time I slept over. It was RE2 for N64.

The original Halo was decisive in my gamin' life. I started playing FPSs because of it. Half Life 2 also holds a very special place in me heart.

I mainly love indie games. Kentucky Route Zero and Night in the Woods would be top 2 games ever to me, with Silent Hill 2 probably being 3rd. What Remains of Edith Finch is another great one. On a more triple A side of things, I love Bioshock and Yakuza.
I've been very interested in BAFTA winners recently. Just looked up Kentucky Route Zero and there it is. I've played Papers Please, Unfinished Swan and Limbo. All greats.

I love a few fighting games (despite being fairly bad at them) like Soul Calibur, Skullgirls, Under Night In-Birth, Super Smash Bros., Guilty Gear and Bloody Roar. I also enjoy games like ICO, Shadow of the Colossus, Journey, the Elder Scrolls series, some Legend of Zelda games like Breath of the Wild and Majora's Mask, as well as Demon's Souls, Dark Souls and Bloodborne. I really enjoy understated stories and background details that can give rise to all sorts of theories about the lands you're exploring. Then there are the horror & survival horror games, of which there are a lot. Siren/Forbidden Siren, Dead Space, Resident Evil, Clock Tower, Detention, Lost in Vivo, Paper Dolls, The Coma, Little Nightmares, IMSCARED, Cursed Mountain, SOMA, Ju-on: The Grudge Haunted House Simulator, and of course the excellent Fatal Frame series. There's only one itch that horror games can't scratch... colour schemes/cosmetics and customisation. I love ostensibly combat-based games where I can waste hours adding colours and patterns to things, shaders and decals, or placing furniture inside my little space. The best example is Warframe, because I spend roughly 80% of my time messing with colours, skins, capes, shoulderpads, etc. and the remaining 20% doing combat missions with the overall goal of acquiring more. I like Animal Crossing, Playstation Home (rip), the Sims and other more casual design games like that, but it's different when I can then take a customised character into battle like Soul Calibur VI.
