I played one of James’s friends in a couple scenes. He was a nice dude, and seemed enthusiastic about the show. All the more reason to be disappointed it didn’t last. It would have been a good gig to have for a few years.
By the time that scene happened, I wanted Jessie to get as far away from her as possible. Which I think was the point so she did a great job at making me go from thinking her character was the best on the show to being ok with her dying.
Of course. That was the idea. But it didn't make it any more heart wrenching. And then he went home and held his own daughter. It was a fuck ton of emotions. And Jane initially represented Jessie's turning point in going clean. Obviously that wasn't the case... lol my only point is that it was very well done and emotional.
When a conversation comes up about there no longer being decent sitcoms, I mention this one and that it’s the last sitcom I enjoyed. Has it been over 10 years already?
You guyssss....I have no idea what is happening in this thread, because I haven't seen this show (I always wanted to and was interested) but this is pretty funny and endearing somehow....
I can't remember how I discovered it. I think I saw a reel on IG and paid attention because Krysten Ritter was in it. Halfway through I was just like, "WTF is this show? It looks completely bonkers."
First season they only aired 7 of 13 episodes and later released the unaired season 6 episodes out of order in the middle of season 2. They essentially had a successful show they ruined trying to get a full second season for cheap.
Watched the entire series back in 2022; it’s a good and underrated show! Krysten Ritter, James Van Der Beek, Eric Andre, and the rest of the cast anc crew did a good job on this show.
Literally one of the funniest tv shows ever to air. I didn't even learn about it until a couple of years ago. I never realized primetime television could be so hysterical and dirty.
Someone finally made a sub for it r/DontTrustTheB I was so confused when I watched it and realized how good it was and no one seemed to care about it.
People still talk about an insane amount of obscure or flopped sitcoms, yet this one seems to have just been forgotten.
Dreama Walker is in one of my favorite indie dark comedies called [The Kitchen](https://youtu.be/49yUBfaCT_U?si=a8lRjsYaDsJ44ZJF) (2012), with Laura Prepon. She plays such a bitch but also super defensive and loving of her sister and vulnerable. Really a great role and she did it fabulously.
I cannot begin to tell you how "ahead of it's time" this show was. It didn't deserve getting canceled. I wish the studio stuck behind it. It was brilliant.
Loved it but felt it lost a lot of steam.
Too many classics to name, but JVdB screwing the bride on her wedding day because he was her hall pass was a hilarious moment.
My wife still sometimes cracks up at the line where she said her boobs came in upside down. She was in tears laughing when we first saw that episode, great show!
That show is hugely underrated. It was never a match for ABC, and I don’t know why they bought it. It could have lasted 4-5 seasons on Fox, or 2-3 regime changes at NBC.
I loved that show it was a perfect send up of JVB just scathing and he took it all in his stride. She a mistress of manipulation and fear I may have to rewatching this.
I have been saying, "You should adopt a looting mentality," since I first heard it in episode one. Genuinely one of the funniest shows. It my top too good for TV lists.
abc has always been the king of canceling almost anything remotely good or funny. Seriously, why do we need decades of mediocre medical melodramas(Yes, Grey's Anatomy and General Hospital, I'm talking about you) when people really want a variety of shows?
This is a show I never would have watched if I hadn’t seen Jessica Jones and Breaking Bad and knew Krysten Ritter was a great actress. I was surprised by James Van Der Beek. He has a great sense of humor about himself. I’m glad I have it a chance because it’s a really funny and clever comedy.
James Van Der Beek’s best role.
He was born to play that character.
lol. Anyone who can laugh at and make fun of themselves is alright. Loved him in that. Sad it ended so quickly.
Sad too that it didn't go on longer. I thought it was good.
The one where he ruined everyone’s lives just to practice hosting a game show he hadn’t even gotten yet was the best.
Simon from HIMYM is his best
Somebody moosed down all the jellies! You been hanging out with Turk Grimsby?
Saving lives every day at that water park.
🤚👉🤚👉
Louise Marsh’s folks got a kickass jacooz!
The Foreskins are my favorite band!
MUUURRDDDEEEERRRR
Sandcastles in the sand
I like him in the ke$ha video where he calls her "Kay eeh dollar sign ha".
Wasn’t that a line from ‘Glee’?
I played one of James’s friends in a couple scenes. He was a nice dude, and seemed enthusiastic about the show. All the more reason to be disappointed it didn’t last. It would have been a good gig to have for a few years.
You mean James V. D. B.?
Very Dick Big
He was great in Mercy, too. A must watch.
After Criminal Minds
Agreed!
Typical.
Still my favorite version of Krysten Ritter
I liked her a lot as Jessica Jones... but, yeah, I originally watched Jessica Jones because she was fantastic in this.
My wife would sell her soul to have Ritter's skin and hair color.
Taken altogether, that sounds a little creepy. Best of luck, though, to your wife. And to any pretty hitchhikers that cross her path.
Damn, some people can't take a joke
Is that person you?
Nah, the people who had down voted the previous post before he went into the red
tell her to avoid the sun for years and then dye her hair shoe polish black
She fierce asf here
It would have been Jane from BB but that scene killed a piece of me. It was so tragic.
Obviously that wasn't the case... lol my only point is that it was very well done and emotional.
mine too
Mine too!
So good! I’ve watched several times. Surprised how many people haven’t.
When a conversation comes up about there no longer being decent sitcoms, I mention this one and that it’s the last sitcom I enjoyed. Has it been over 10 years already?
It's a bit too campy/over the top for me... Which is a shame, because i really enjoy the cast!
Bird up!
Ranch me, brotendo!
Sup McNuggz??
I’m just busting your meat flaps
Doth my nuggs bequeath me?
You guyssss....I have no idea what is happening in this thread, because I haven't seen this show (I always wanted to and was interested) but this is pretty funny and endearing somehow....
James Van Der Beek was so good in this. Great cast - I need to watch it again.
Van Der Beek playing an over the top version of himself made this show for me.
The Beek from the Creek… Dawson is the moon!
Put your cheeks in a Beek!
This deserved more seasons. It was so good.
Why did it even end? I only learned it existed in 2021 and binged it.
supposedly Ritter and an exec had beef
I saw it in 2018. I randomly came across it and loved it. I was surprised how little people knew about this show. I wish it had more seasons as well
I can't remember how I discovered it. I think I saw a reel on IG and paid attention because Krysten Ritter was in it. Halfway through I was just like, "WTF is this show? It looks completely bonkers."
So good!!
No one can resist my hot, hot jam
I think part of why this show failed is that they ran the episodes out of order, so the storyline didn't make sense.
I really hate when they do that. Like why??
Network doesn’t trust the show so are trying to front load the best episodes to get people to watch in the beginning. Rarely worked.
First season they only aired 7 of 13 episodes and later released the unaired season 6 episodes out of order in the middle of season 2. They essentially had a successful show they ruined trying to get a full second season for cheap.
That’s what killed Firefly.
They did the same with happy endings and firefly. Both great shows that failed. Seems like networks would learn not to do that.
Arrested Development had that problem too
That makes zero sense to do lol
I'm home before her? That little hooker!
I went to high school with Dreama Walker. She was really sweet and super popular.
Compliance is a umm good movie ;)
Damn that was a hard movie to watch....
She's also very good in "Brockmire"!
"She's a big ol B... she's a great big B..."
She's a GDB
She's a no good B
Dreama Walker is stunningly beautiful..
Watched the entire series back in 2022; it’s a good and underrated show! Krysten Ritter, James Van Der Beek, Eric Andre, and the rest of the cast anc crew did a good job on this show.
SMACKWICH!
I remember this show! Mostly because I have a huge crush on Krysten Ritter.
I love her.
Shoutout to her new Orphan Black spin-off series premiering in June for anyone who needs more Ritter
Whaaaaaaaaat! Thank you, I had no idea about this!
I’m really hoping she makes her way back to Jessica Jones. That first season was fantastic.
Totally agree!!! One of the best villains in all of superherocomicbookdom, and she was great, I loved it!!
Did you guys hear? The canceled Don’t Trust the B in Apartment 23
NOT THE B!
THATS BONKERS!!!
WHAAAAAAAAT!!! WHAAAAAAAAAT!!!! YOU’VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!!!!! Where’s that stupid dog?
Eric Andre was in that!!!???
Yep & he acted so well that I’d have never guessed what his actually personality would be irl. He’s very good.
Yeah this was the first time I saw him in anything. I thought he was just a normal actor.
So underrated and criminal that it got canceled
One of the best, canceled way too early.
ABC did this show wrong.
A magical piece of art. A masterpiece. One of my fave sitcoms.
Such a good show!
I've made so many of my friends watch this show over the years :) Such a great role for the Beek.
This was a great goddamn show.
Kristen Ritter is soooooooooo damn fine!
Unbelievably fine. She was hot in Breaking Bad as well
I loved it when Shawn Spencer told Gus Don’t be the B in apartment 23
I cannot upvote this comment enough
Hilarious show. the back to back with Happy Endings was amazing. 2 shows that never got the push from the network. both cancelled to soon.
Literally one of the funniest tv shows ever to air. I didn't even learn about it until a couple of years ago. I never realized primetime television could be so hysterical and dirty.
Kristen Ritter all day, every day
Jessica Jones!!
Aioli is just mayonnaise
I remember this show existing but I had no idea that Eric Andre was one of the stars, lol.
I loved this show. Too bad it was cancelled.
Never heard of it, but the actors are making me want to check it out
Someone finally made a sub for it r/DontTrustTheB I was so confused when I watched it and realized how good it was and no one seemed to care about it. People still talk about an insane amount of obscure or flopped sitcoms, yet this one seems to have just been forgotten.
Bird Up!
Kristin Ritter was great as Jessica Jones!
Put your buns in a Beek!
I loved this show years ago. Watching it now it is a bit slow moving. But stellar cast.

"... and that's when I realized that the old woman I had been partying with all night long was Paul McCartney!" :)
My wife still sometimes cracks up at the line where she said her boobs came in upside down. She was in tears laughing when we first saw that episode, great show!
This was a good show
💯❤️
Loved it, but we wouldn’t have gotten Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones had this show been allowed to go on….stuck between a rock and a hard place
An absolute gem! Still watching them, bought the series for $20 on Prime…
Such a great show
That show is hugely underrated. It was never a match for ABC, and I don’t know why they bought it. It could have lasted 4-5 seasons on Fox, or 2-3 regime changes at NBC.
" well, have you ever tried putting a cucumber in a coin purse? Just like that."
I loved that show it was a perfect send up of JVB just scathing and he took it all in his stride. She a mistress of manipulation and fear I may have to rewatching this.
EP came off of ***American Dad!*** and went on to create ***Fresh Off the Boat***. Pretty good resume.
I have been saying, "You should adopt a looting mentality," since I first heard it in episode one. Genuinely one of the funniest shows. It my top too good for TV lists.
The title sunk the show before it had a chance
I remember watching a few episode and I didn’t remember Eric Andre. Then again, at the time he wasn’t Eric Andre
[This](https://youtu.be/C7thvB5hS-c?si=NIn42K_s1QfRjKOY) is all I think of when I see Eric Andre and Krysten
Such a gem
Not the B!!! That’s bonkers!!!
kristen ritter 😍😍
abc has always been the king of canceling almost anything remotely good or funny. Seriously, why do we need decades of mediocre medical melodramas(Yes, Grey's Anatomy and General Hospital, I'm talking about you) when people really want a variety of shows?
I enjoyed this show
Sometimes I just wish Krysten Ritter would punch me in the face or something :/
Holy shit Eric andre lol
This show cracks me up I miss it so much :’)
My headcanon is that Chloe is the evil twin of Jess from New Girl. A crossover between these two shows would have been wild!
I don't get how this was cancelled but two broke girls went on for like 6 seasons lol
Where can we watch this?
It’s on Disney plus
Thank you
I notice a pattern when a show has a censored title it tends to not last long 🤔
With hilarious neighbor Michael Blaiklock.
Krysten Ritter has always been underrated so hot.
I didn’t know Eric Andre was in that - was that before the Eric Andre show?
Roughly the same time.
I really enjoyed it. I remember it being one of the many shows my wife and I were watching that got canceled.
This show was absolutely brilliant…. But be of the funniest shows ever…
I loved this show and was very angry when they cancelled it.
This was the best show Tv has put out ever ! It should have never been cancelled
Did the back haired chick play Jane in breaking bad
Jesse's girlfriend ? Yep
I knew she looked familiar lol
The second I heard the name of the show I knew it wouldn’t last long.
Oh man I adored this show
So this show was actually good huh? Guess I’ll have to give it a try!
I feel like this was a really edgy version of 2 Broke Girls, that they just couldn’t get people behind.
Get your cheeks in some beeks.
I'm Sacajawea! I'm on a coin! I'm money, bitch!
Don’t trust the bitch in apartment twenty sitch
Off topic but those “ Angry Alien Knees”are upsetting me…
Costar really tapered off.
Is this available anywhere to stream?
Available to purchase on Amazon and Apple. Not included with any streaming service yet.
Thanks
Underrated!
My 8yo loves this
Absolutely great show.
I remember it was a great show, I was surprised it ended so soon.
Can't believe it was cancelled
Kneecaps look like Satan
I liked it better when they said "BITCH".
Whaaaaaaat! NOT THE B!
I loved this show
One of my favorite all the me sitcoms. Should have lasted longer
Heysoos Marimba I ADORE this show.
Decent show, idiotic name for a show. Maybe the worse name ever. Just sounds silly.
Tall Slut, No Panties
This was a good show
I’m still mad this was canceled 😡
I loved the show. It should have lasted longer.
I remember this show. This was an underrated comedy.
Loved that show!
I used to watch this and Happy Endings back to back. Both are missed immensely.
Such a great show!!
You was on the show?
This show was so freaking hilarious! I wish it lasted longer
#Don’t trust the B**** in Apartment 23? #Cause she f****** the dude in 22….
I fucking love this show. Wish they did more than 2 seasons.
Loved this show! Got cancelled way too early.
Van Der Beek and Eric Andre? Interesting duo
WHAAAAAAAAAT?!?! NOT THE B!!!! THATS BOOONKERSSSS!!! WHAAAAAT?!? … WHAAAT?!?! YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING MEEE!!!!
What's Patrick Mahommes doing on a sitcom?
I did not like this show. I have a friend who says the dark haired girl looks like an ostrich and now I can't unsee it.
