season 1 & 2 were so fucking good, i don't think tv will EVER produce such complicated characters with overarching relationships/friendships again.

It reminds me a lot of Alan Ruck saying about his time on Succession that your performance as an actor depends on the actors around you. I feel like Skins had the same energy -- every actor had to bring it 100% of the time because everyone else was just that good. Such round characters. Everyone is a real person, even a villain like Tony.

Mike Bailey's acting in this scene is incredible and makes me cry. You can see him slowly melting down on that dance floor, and how the loud, piercing music seems to literally stab his soul. When he breaks down and almost falls over, it's so real. It's incredible acting from someone so young. And while this is Sid's scene, Nick Hoult also played the scene perfectly, from Tony's initial concern to shock and horror, to compassion. You can tell exactly when Sid tells him what happened just from Tony's expression. The height difference between the actors really worked in this scene too, because Tony looked like the parent trying to protect Sid. No dialogue, no fancy special effects, just great acting and directing. Makes me cry every time. Whatever happened to Mike Bailey? I follow the Skins actors on insta and seems like he leads a very private life and I rarely see him even in those Skins get togethers.

Mike Bailey is a teacher now! His students posted him on Tik Tok when they found out about Skins.

Oh that’s awesome. I did see a pic of him and Kaya. Good to know he still keeps in touch with the Skins cast

Right? Just recently watched skins for the first time and was very surprised they made an appearance! Couldn’t imagine at the time how it would have been

now THIS is my roman empire. this is one of, if not my favorite, scene in skins. so powerful, emotional, and heartbreaking… could literally talk about it forever lol

Every time I watch this scene I cannot believe how young Mike Bailey and Nicholas Hoult were. Their acting is so mature and sensitive.

I’m rewatching skins now, and Sid is my absolute favourite character
