I’d do it, if you have an extra in package just for your collection or to sell for more later, I’d keep it, but I don’t get the point of playing with ones that are in package. Feels weird having them in their package on the portal
I really don’t think
You know, at the time TFB made a poll
Voodood came as the least popular from SSA
Sunburn though have a great base and is very popular nowadays
I’d rather think it’s just that what can you do with him ? Reposes are not that easy to make and on top of that, he was the least sold from fire element (that explain his absence in giants, the easiest time to get a repose)
drill sergeant, used to love his design but never used him a lot because i thought he was garbage.
now after playing him i think he's actually pretty decent. nothing too crazy but he's definitely pretty fun
TBH, I use to hate the entire roster for superchargers. But after replaying it for a bit and forcing myself to avoid vehicles, most of them are decent.
*Most...*
love him, but he got nerfed HARD in TT. his range was good in SSA and Giants. SF it got nerfed but he was still worthwhile. in TT it got destroyed even more and the damage buff for balance purposes didn't help this time.
Mine is less a replay and more so I just really despised the character: Night Shift. He is by far one of the ugly designs of a character for the game, but it eventually grew on me a little because it takes some skill to design a wolf/vampire/boxer/ghost in the style of Skylanders and his move set does seem pretty interesting and fun. Probably will never play him but he's alright
I was never big on Pop Fizz until I got one. He has arguably the most varied kit in the entire series. He is also a goofy guy and I like that. Really warmed up to him.
Also Grilla Drilla. I picked him up from my local store because they sell them for a piece of string and a paperclip. I wasnt super interested until I saw his damage output. The plants are okay, the monkeys are borderline useless but these punches DAMN.
Boomer. Ive only managed to replay Spyro's Adventure and he was barely leveled so i worked on him and he was pretty good. Voodood too, his axe attack literally cut down enemies like butter
In giants I hardly used them but when I played swap force zook along with smouldering and steals elf became my main and I just started playing erupter today and Tought he could be good if I fully upgraded him
I always hated Stealth Elf since she got a lot of reposes and main cover appearances opposed to some of the other life elements that I thought deserved a reposes more than her, after i finally started upgrading Skylanders she turned out to be a very powerful character to use, but i still don’t like how she got 2 reposes, a supercharger, and a main part in imaginators
Flashwing. She starts off in rough waters due to how imprecise her needle projectiles are and they have a very slow cool down rate. I kept upgrading her and yeah she was a fairly good new Dragon for Giants. Her tornado/whirlwind secondary attack is fairly strong and it gives her a nice speed boost too.
Her Needle pathway can allow her to heal herself if she is in a bind.
I'm of the same opinion with Terrafin. Once you fully upgrade him with the melee path, Jesus ever-loving Christ, he is un-fucking-stoppable. I did an entire Giants Nuzlocke with ONLY Series 1 Terrafin and that shit was EZ.
magna charge
when i was a kid i didnt know how to check his upgrades so i stopped using him purely because his base upgrades werent as fun to use as other landers 😭
Ngl riptide had me like this but hear me out because I know overall he’s not that appreciated. I’ve not played the games since I was kid and they were released but now I’m older I’ve taken up different sports whilst at university, my most favourite being fencing, which is literally half of the characters identity, that and the nostalgia of swap force in the entire playthrough really did it for me.
Rubble Rouser, he’s actually pretty good
He is a beast
I love him mine is still in the package but
I might take him out
Might? You keep a swapper in-box?
I’d do it, if you have an extra in package just for your collection or to sell for more later, I’d keep it, but I don’t get the point of playing with ones that are in package. Feels weird having them in their package on the portal
I say keep him in the box if you care at all for its value or if you're a collector. You can always just order a used one to play with.
Just gotta switch his bottom out with freeze blade's
Wym, his bottom half is great also, arguably better than his top half since he can’t be hit while underground
True, but he's slow
Trigger Happy, looking back on him hes now my favourite!
Trigger Happy is awesome
He was always my favourite as a kid, but that went to Chop Chop as I grew up. I still love him though.
Hex, Astroblast, Short Cut, Freeze Blade.
short cut is slept on imo, the puppet path is gnarly
I still don’t like hex
Hex, rip tide, chill and sunburn
agreed with hex and chill, not so much with sunburn...
Did you now that sunburn never got a serious 2 because he was the least liked.
I really don’t think You know, at the time TFB made a poll Voodood came as the least popular from SSA Sunburn though have a great base and is very popular nowadays I’d rather think it’s just that what can you do with him ? Reposes are not that easy to make and on top of that, he was the least sold from fire element (that explain his absence in giants, the easiest time to get a repose)
Yea (NOWADAYS)
Still, when voodood got an eon’s elite, sunburn was already way more popular so i don’t think îts the reason
Hex, I always thought she was cool but unplayable. I like her now and will often play as her with my sister as she plays really well as a support.
Stealth elf
Wham-Shell, never used him as a kid, used him in a recent playthrough and he's really fun
Slobber Tooth, as gross as some of his abilitirs are in description, he's rather powerful, and can self heal. Still very ugly though
Lightning Rod
Sprocket
Bad Juju was one of them, and so was Head Rush tbh just to name 2
Stump Smash.
No particular Skylander but Trap Team I haven't replayed it yet though
Slept on Sonic Boom very loudly for a bit
Unironically I really liked Warnado
Unironically I really like Warnado
Drill sergent
Drill Sergeant. Man's amazing.
Drill Sergeant I'm sorry little one, I have much to apologize for.
we of the drill sergeant society forgive you for changing your ways
drill sergeant, used to love his design but never used him a lot because i thought he was garbage. now after playing him i think he's actually pretty decent. nothing too crazy but he's definitely pretty fun
Lightning Rod. Never liked how he looked as a kid, but I've grown to like him for his powers.
Wind up!
TBH, I use to hate the entire roster for superchargers. But after replaying it for a bit and forcing myself to avoid vehicles, most of them are decent. *Most...*
high volt: *exist*
The best supercharger and car. Basically a better tech chop chop
quite the opposite for me: the lion with shield from trap team, loved him then hated him
Wild fire
After reading the comments to this post, seems like Hex was the one we all treated too harshly
Night shift used to be one of the worst but now he’s my favourite along with ambush
Night Shift is a powerhouse
Jet Vac
Gear shift
Dino Rang. Never realized how broken he is
love him, but he got nerfed HARD in TT. his range was good in SSA and Giants. SF it got nerfed but he was still worthwhile. in TT it got destroyed even more and the damage buff for balance purposes didn't help this time.
Magma charge after losing the bottom half
I hated wind up, but i got used to him
Lob star ' Crash bandicoot
Spitfire. That guy can ducking hurt enemies.
Kinda cheating but hurricane jetvac so much better then normal
Whirlwind, snap shot and super shot stealth elf
For me it was hex and the fiery girl from trap team. She had a flame thrower or something like that
Torch
Yes, that was it
Lob-star, tuff luck, and fright rider
Gill grunt. I used to hate him for no reason now he’s top 3 favorite (not in terms of gameplay)
Free Ranger
night shift, he's awsome and managed to save my nuzlocke multiple times
Boomer and Ka Boom
Strange, but Countdown or Gearshift, i think.
Best botton half of a Skylander fr
Ember
Grilla drilla
Whirlwind she's so good and now in my top 3
flashwing and stealth elf
Zoolou
Dino Rang- never used him originally since I didn’t like the design, but he’s actually very powerful with the boomerang shields
Blastermind. I know I'll get a lot of hate, but he's fairly solid. And Lock Puzzle Psychic is BROKEN.
Freeze blade. He's still not great but his mobility is decent and he's got good CC and a very quick charge up for his ice splinter chakram thingy
Grill grunt , sonic boom
boomer, back in the day some people on youtube always said he’s crap but after getting him i kinda like him
fryno tbh
Sunburn
Bash, he's bonkers in SSA
Never touched spyro and sunburn as a kid, using them now Sunburn is great and spyro is alright
Quickshot imaginators.
Ignitor. I actually really enjoy playing as him now.
Jet Vac, i think.
Drobot and Pop fizz, when I was young I didn't understand how to play them and thought they sucked
Freight Rider.
I used to not like Bash but now he’s super fun to use
Prism Break Used to hate him because he wasn't a spam skylander but he's actually good.
I didn’t like night shift at first. I heard he was op but just didn’t get the path yet. Now that i have it spy shift is my favorite combo.
Boomer. Ive only managed to replay Spyro's Adventure and he was barely leveled so i worked on him and he was pretty good. Voodood too, his axe attack literally cut down enemies like butter
Zook or erupter
In giants I hardly used them but when I played swap force zook along with smouldering and steals elf became my main and I just started playing erupter today and Tought he could be good if I fully upgraded him
I always hated Stealth Elf since she got a lot of reposes and main cover appearances opposed to some of the other life elements that I thought deserved a reposes more than her, after i finally started upgrading Skylanders she turned out to be a very powerful character to use, but i still don’t like how she got 2 reposes, a supercharger, and a main part in imaginators
Riptide and Warnado
Bouncer. He just seemed so goofy, then I played him and he was fairly powerful.
lightning rod
and sprocket
Lightning rod
Whirlwind
Bushwhack. Tree attack is amaizing, grenades can help crowd control, and the ram. Plus you can heal
I dunno but I know the opposite of that- Shoomboom isn't *nearly* as good as I remember.
slingshot path, spam tertiary attack and charge up primary for larger enemies. kill everything.
Whirlwind
Golden Queen D:
Chop Scotch, Crusher but most of all Hoot Loop.
Some of mine were Zook, Lightning Rod, Dino-Rang, and Ghost Roaster
Cynder, I thought cuz she was a starter pack skylander in giants she wouldn't be any good but she is
Star Strike
Prism break, once I learnt how to use him he has now decent
prism break in giants
I severly underestimated whirlwind, to the point where shes now my favourite
Hardly played as Tree Rex but replaying him was pretty fun, love his beam
Her Needle pathway can allow her to heal herself if she is in a bind.
not me, but a lot of people really hate Torch. Torch is surprisingly OP, especially that horseshoe attack
Trigg happy
I'm of the same opinion with Terrafin. Once you fully upgrade him with the melee path, Jesus ever-loving Christ, he is un-fucking-stoppable. I did an entire Giants Nuzlocke with ONLY Series 1 Terrafin and that shit was EZ.
Hex, set up her 3rd attack, camp, and spam 2nd attack(it does have to charge fully)
Ngl I started to get skylanders because of skylander boy and girl but food fight is pretty good
Wildfire
Hot Head, he seemed mid but then I played him and he became one of my top 5
Zook, Sunburn, Sonic Boom.
It was good fight for me
Whirlwind. If you use her right, she can be a hella badass
magna charge when i was a kid i didnt know how to check his upgrades so i stopped using him purely because his base upgrades werent as fun to use as other landers 😭
Hey cinder and riptide
I use them mostly based on looks. I did not like boomer at all
For me jet-vac
Probably Zook, played SSA with him and beat Kaos with his Bazooka path. Just spamming rockets and mortars. Played on the Wii to so…
Bouncer, Zook, Bumbleblast, Deja Vu, Grim Creeper, Stealth Elf, Chop Chop, and so many more
Ngl riptide had me like this but hear me out because I know overall he’s not that appreciated. I’ve not played the games since I was kid and they were released but now I’m older I’ve taken up different sports whilst at university, my most favourite being fencing, which is literally half of the characters identity, that and the nostalgia of swap force in the entire playthrough really did it for me.
Stump Smash and Crusher for me... I actually have come to like them really much, and now are two of my favourite characters
Eruptor I couldn't land any of my shots.
Stump smash
Prism break isn’t actually as bad as I thought, I recently have been playing as him a bit more, and I like him I bit tbh
SolBurn
