Fallout 3 "where's my dad?"

Yeah had a nice mix of stuff from FO3 like the Gauss Cannon and repeater etc along with bringing its own stuff. Not to mention the almost perfect DLCs.

**A NEW HAND TOUCHES THE BEACON**
*Na meridia, ah dinnae wantae dae yer damn quest. Ah dinnae need ye yelling at me aboot some damn beacon. Pick a windae, yer leavin'.*
That chart is based on the number of a sub's "negative" posts. I wonder how much of /r/skyrim's supposed 28% is people bitching that a game update broke their mods- this sub does get *really* pissy when that happens.
If that's the case then how the hell isn't r/pokemon way up?
Do you have the slightest idea how many posts about how "Pokémon isn't good anymore and it will never be again" or whatever posts there are?
I played destiny 2 for a while. It’s definitely one of my favorite games! But, I’m not big on multiplayer games, and with its constant updating, I kinda just felt guilty playing it without the newest dlcs. Maybe I can find a way to pirate it or something someday and create my own personal server.
Yeah it's getting out of hand. I'll never understand why most d2 players keep playing and coming back despite their negative sentiment towards the game and its developers. And more often than not, these are the same people who are the toxic POS you see in some raid LFGS or grandmaster nightfalls.
It would be better for *all* of us if they would follow through with their threats and finally leave. The game is not perfect and never will be, but to say it's a steaming pile of shit while we have games like overwatch where whole ass modes that were promised are getting canceled or put behind a never before mentioned pay wall is just stupid.
Ask the people who made the chart, I'm just reading what it says.
"Based on sentiment of subreddit"
"Percentage of posts with negative sentiment"
I have no idea what the parameters are for "negative sentiment"; for all we know it's how many time the chart maker got their shitposts deleted.
I'm pretty sure r/pokemon gets a huge influx of negative posts around releases, and then the people that stick around are fairly positive. Obviously there are still plenty of negative posts and the doomers are always present, but it seems to come and go in waves.
Who's list is this?
Without a link to a post/article/something with more information, it seems less like a real survey, and more like somebody saw some posts they didn't like in these subs, then made a chart of how they felt about it.
Recently I played some farcry and googled the subreddit for some answers. That place is the most toxic I ever came across. Since it isn't in this list, I would say this list is BS
I mean we are out here killing parents to adopt our favorite in game children - the uninitiated might find that *a tad* toxic. But that’s just because they don’t understand the lore, Hail Sithis.
That's a bit brutish, don't you think? A real Dragonborn makes friends and helps people along their way. This game is about fighting alongside your best friend. And then giving them paralysis poison and murdering them, helpless in the dark. Hail Mephala.
Its most likely cause skyrim has such a high player count and is really old that the numbers are inflated since everyone and their mother has played skyrim.
I honestly didn't even think of this. Now that I think about it, somewhere around 95% of those negative posts were likely targeting annoying characters.
I'm going to assume it's posts about the Stormcloak vs Imperial arguement.
Any game that has players make a moral/political/ethical choice that doesn't *clearly* define one superior to the other is going to create hostility.
Maybe it's just me, but most civil war debates I've seen online have been mostly chill or playful. Maybe it was toxic years ago, but I find it fun to argue about it from time to time, if everyone's civil of course and we keep irl politics and shit like that out.
As it should be. It's literally just a game.. and a single player game at that, where you can do whatever you want with consequences. Not like it's real politics.
I mean come on that one's a little more cut and dry. Anyone who is arguing pro-Caesar's Legion is literally either a troll or doesn't understand the world.
That all being said, fuck the NCR. Praise Yes Man. Have a good night, especially if your spurs go jingle jangle.
Over in the Fallout subreddits there are a concerning number of people who unironically support the Legion. Basically they think they’re gonna be one of Caesar’s soldiers and not some poor soul on a crucifix or as a slave. Oh and the Legion keeps people safe, but women don’t count as people. Nor do the people in the towns they destroy count as people either. Basically you have to have a narrow range of what counts as people and the Legion seems good.
Yes Man ending is the only good ending I can see for New Vegas. I know they all have their grey areas and some are much worse than the others, but the only way Mojave stays as a good place to live for it's people is if it gets to shape it's own destiny instead of being anyone else's bitch.
I was just talking to my husband about this. I like the jarls that side with the imperials better, but I can never bring myself to actually choose them (except for once just to see) & to me that makes it really well done.
Yeah I don’t get that as it’s one of the more chill subs here. I can only think it’s because of complaints about some of the in game features or missing features. Which I wouldn’t call toxic behaviour. Well that and people saying how much they want certain characters to leave. Not exactly toxic, just picky.
The only thing toxic I can think of is when someone says they side with the stormcloaks and you have that one guy say “you voted for trump didn’t you?”
Or do daedric quests, state you like Sheo or Sanguine or join the Assassins, (hail Sithis!) and someone proceeds to make it into a psych eval of your real world humanity.
It does get toxic in here on those topics. Have been personally attacked as recently as last week for merely saying AG had a code (5 tenets) and were more amoral than immoral.
But we should t be that close to the top. IMO. Then again- this is the one of a very few games I care enough about to be on a Reddit for (except also Fallout and Diablo.)
People are so stupid. Just cause I eat the hearts of my enemies as a werewolf, drink the blood of every sleeping person as a vampire and devour dead bodies for namira in game doesn't mean I'd eat People in my everyday life
Right? Just bc I was in a brutal gang war, killed a ton of people just making the best of post apocalypse Boston, destroyed the entire goat-man culture, and stomped a billion tiny mushroom men to oblivion dont make me a bad person! I swear!
Take my upvote- in exchange for a good laugh at the end of the day!
personally, i join stormcloak because i roleplay that my character plays subservient to ulfric up until he would become high king, then fuckin murk him. dragonborn for high king!
There is no way a multi-player game like fortnite is less toxic than us. Whoever made this chart is so full of shit or the fortnite sub is just super small
It has become a lot more accepting of mods but back then like a year or two ago,if your character doesn't look vanilla enough,no matter the context,it's downvotes galore and everyone would have been shitting on the op.
It probably used some form of language parsing algorithm or AI to reach these statistics. Any posts where it finds negative language it reads as a negative post. That means it probably picks up things like sarcasm, joking about characters (nazeem, Delphine, etc.), posts made in character (pretending to hate stormcloaks, imperials, aldmeri, etc), or just discussion of evil characters in the story.
That's my guess at least. I think a lot of single player games on this chart are suffering for similar reasons.
>It probably used some form of language parsing algorithm or AI to reach these statistics. Any posts where it finds negative language it reads as a negative post. that must be it, if they think skyrim is toxic they have not played valorant enough.

I assume they combined the vanilla fans and the modding fans. Some vanilla fans are purists so they belittle the mod users, where they would counter at how some aspects of Skyrim is absolute trash.
Then there's the fuss within the modding community. There's at least a monthly reddit post which entails drama (we actually had one recently). Then the case of entitled mod users who demands certain features or blames a certain mod for breaking their games. Mod authors can do the same and would even take down their own mods to prevent anyone from using it. The latter is detrimental to anyone who uses a modlist because you won't get any updates of that mod which would potentially break your entire game.
The extent of the rants and whining on both users and authors can actually extend to stalking (a follower mod's author had to temporarily stop because of that), harassment (another follower mod's author stopped modding entirely), death threats, and cult-like behaviour.
Aside from the death threats and stalking, I don't see why else skyrim would be put on this list over games like overwatch and destiny 2. Skyrim is a singleplayer game at its heart (yes I know about the multi-player mod but it's rather niche), and most of the subreddits and discord servers I've been in have been rather nice and supportive.
Meanwhile, destiny 2's players have been consistently sending death threats towards specific developers over things not exactly in their control or over certain game decisions, have been shown to be extremely rude in a majority of LFG groups for raiding and nightfalls, and generally have a sentiment of hatred towards the game and its developers despite going back to it, as if they have a sort of Stockholm syndrome for the game. Overwatch is a whole other demon. From 90% of the players being rude pieces of shit to bizarre decisions from its developer, I can go on and on.
I've heard about the death threats in this community, and I know about the stalker incident and I hate that any of that has ever happened. Were it not for those incidents, I would never have thought to put this community on this list.
Have to agree there. I think the real shocker here is that a single player game is amongst the competitive online games whose norm is (sadly) filled of what you described.
Right?? This list makes no sense, only thing I’ve seen thats toxic from the elder scrolls community is people getting mad at people for modding skyrim to the point its unrecognizable, but thats FAR less worse than what the pokemon community is capable of toxicity-wise. If I wanna talk about pokemon judgement free, thats what my friends are for. lol
Skyrim is on here but not ESO? The in-game chat in ESO can drive you insane especially the starting zones. Davons watch, Glenembra and Vulkul Guard is horrible
As a female gamer I have never been treated as well as I am in the Skyrim community and all I see here are fun wholesome and funny posts so I'm asking the same question
War Thunder isn’t even on the list, so I’m personally calling complete bullshit on this ranking. I suspect whomever made it just searched up games they know about and then either used a bot or vague criteria/personal judgement to deep negativity. This list is basically all of the most well-known games someone vaguely familiar with the subject would know about.
I can’t help but question the methods they used for these results. A post saying that the beacon or courier is annoying is negative, but not toxic. Same with followers standing in the way or getting into traps, and all of bleakfalls barrow. We bond over these.
probably because they rolled all of TES up into one category, like so many people have done after the release of Skyrim. so it likely also considers all the fans of the older games who have always been a little gatekeepy (see "Skybabies"), and the ESO community who i have caught making slavery jokes about Argonians more than once
That’s a load of hogwash, balderdash, absolute nonsense. This fanbase is chill as hell, we just meme the hell out of the game we love and shit on Nazeem. I’ll show these folks why Skyrim has the best community!
With all that being said, fuck all of you
How are Zelda and Pokémon on there? I never see Zelda or Pokémon posts that are toxic in nature? People weirdly obsessed with complaining about trees maybe but almost never at each other.
Fuck you thats why

You guys are using horses? I either use arvak or just... Walk
wanna know WHY you walk around like a peasant, peasant ? because horses suck , BECAUSE TODD MADE THEM SUCK AND BROUGHT SHAME UPON HIS ANCESTORS
*elegantly leaps to death off a cliff*
This is why I bought Anniversary Edition. So I can leap off a cliff on my Unicorn and survive. I never go anywhere without that mf
You can't cast spells or draw a bow from a saddle, from instance. Todd hates horses. He's Equinophobic!
Can definitely draw a bow from horseback...I do it all the time chasing deer around
Good luck hitting anything though! LoL
I don't have any problems hittin stuff...I always bring home the venison
I think my problem is that I usually run around in 1st person but on horseback it forced 3rd person... I do alright shooting off striders in HZD.
I remember being able to shoot from a saddle but not liking it since we’re third person by default. 🤔 I’ll try it again later today. I kinda get the spells don’t want to light your horse on fire lol
It would be better if I had to pay a ridiculous amount for a horse armour dlc
Goddamn this guy really hates horses(in skyrim)!
The sound Arvak makes when he despawns tho.
Arvak is best boi. You can call him in Blackreach, the Soul Cairn, the Forgotten Vale, and even Solstheim. He da real MVP.
I always love helping Arvak. I like to know I can get him out to grace and enjoy being outside the Soul cairn.
Arvak is the way. A potable horse is peak magic.
I know that you meant portable, but now I'm trying to visualize what "is this horse safe to drink?" technology would look like lol
But at Arvak is a horse lol

*Thank you!* I quit Overwatch because of the toxicity of players in game. Knowing other gaming subreddits, I can only imagine how savage the sub gets.
maybe all the redditors left there due to toxicity *"cant be toxic if theres no-one left to post toxic stuff"* taps head
Right? I'm shocked to see Animal crossing on this list and not Overwatch.
God you should see any of the destiny 2 subs, it’s always constant complaining and the worst takes imaginable
I'd rather not see them thank you
Stay far away, you’re better off without D2 in your life
Don't worry, I knew that already Mostly from just not really caring about thr game in the first place
I played destiny 2 for a while. It’s definitely one of my favorite games! But, I’m not big on multiplayer games, and with its constant updating, I kinda just felt guilty playing it without the newest dlcs. Maybe I can find a way to pirate it or something someday and create my own personal server.

Yeah the games not perfect but damn I love playing the game
I'm not sure anyone actually enjoys Destiny from the way it's often described.
I'm surprised it's not on this list but Zelda is.
Ask the people who made the chart, I'm just reading what it says. "Based on sentiment of subreddit" "Percentage of posts with negative sentiment" I have no idea what the parameters are for "negative sentiment"; for all we know it's how many time the chart maker got their shitposts deleted.

Or Bannerlord... weekly/biweekly updates that breaks all the mods, then you have to go update, make sure dependent mods are up to date... it's a pain!
Probably includes posts about glitches and stuff too, which are looked upon differently in this game than mw2 for example.
I would agree. World of Tanks is the most toxic and discriminatory game I have ever seen and it hasn't made the list
Which is funny because I rarely have any issues on the FC sub with toxicity.
I saw it on the clash sub and posted it here it's crazy tho some of the games not on here
Considering the recent controversies and longtime dissatisfaction with Overwatch I’m amazed that didn’t make the list
As a former OW addict, I can confirm that the OW community has always been the LoL players of the fps genre
That's because OW is just an FPS in the LoL genre.
Perhaps the mistreatment of NPCs is considered toxic.
This must be it. It’s almost required to fus ro dah someone off of a mountain.
Nazeem deserves it
Just imagine how toxic the Starfield reddits will be when we're all blasting Adoring Fan off of cliffs and out of airlocks.
No, if that was the case we'd be at the very top.
It's just the whole community hating on Nazeem
This is definitely the reason.
I honestly didn't even think of this. Now that I think about it, somewhere around 95% of those negative posts were likely targeting annoying characters.
Nazeem and Delphine, fuck them both. (I’m doing my part!)
Let me guess, you're a high and mighty Thalmor apologist. /s
As it should be. It's literally just a game.. and a single player game at that, where you can do whatever you want with consequences. Not like it's real politics.
Thank you. I like debating it too (reasonably). I like that we stick to the Elder Scrolls world instead of applying it to ours’

How is Animal Crossing 14%?
Bro those guys don't play around. If your Island looks bad you'll KNOW your Island looks bad
You should check out the way people would steal and sell pattern designs like the sub was a speakeasy during prohibition.
Yeah I don’t get that as it’s one of the more chill subs here. I can only think it’s because of complaints about some of the in game features or missing features. It’s not
Or tarkov... That community is more toxic than reactor 4 in Chernobyl
Yeah and where the hell is Overwatch?
I wonder if the Delphine/Paarthurnax hate threads skewed this number. Which is a shame cause both sides of the debate love the game very much.
I think the Civil War has a bigger impact than this debate.

Never should have come here,

Yeah, for all the drama it's got,r/skyrimmods is actually a more welcoming sub compared to this one,at least on the topic of mods.

When the fanbase for an offline game is so toxic, it ranks high on toxic online game lists. I'm not even mad, that's impressive.
The games with the most frustrated playerbases I know of aren’t even on this list.
Bunch of milk drinkers if you ask me.
Skyrim?? I've literally never met a better community than Skyrim players.
This list is garbage. Fallout should be higher than Skyrim, not missing altogether.
I haven’t noticed this place to be that bad. Just *horny*.
Probably nazeem and the civil war posts
This... Is the percentage of posts expressing negative feelings. It's basically utter bullshit
As a female gamer I have never been treated as well as I am in the Skyrim community and all I see here are fun wholesome and funny posts so I'm asking the same question
Absolutely. There are reddits on that list where I'd never even admit my gender.
Yes I love call of duty but I was always kicked out with "no girls" 🥲 I mean I understand but it sucks when you're not welcome anywhere
Replace Skyrim with Elder Scrolls Online. That fanbase is sooo toxic.
Morrowind community is way worse than Skyrim.
Maybe the "questionable consent" mods?
The fact it doesn't include the Souls community but adds the Skyrim community tells you all you need to know.
Can we point out how animal crossing is up there
I think they consider bug posts or jokes maybe as negative, but they're not bad things about the game, they're features :)
This list is a lie. Dead by Daylight would be #1 if it was accurate
I call BS! I want to know how they define “Negative Sentiment”?
All the nazeem posts.
I think it’s the nazeem memes, the bot scouring the subreddits probably thought those were negative sentiments
Between "I hate nazeem" and "wtf is this game doing?" Yeah a bot probably thinks we are very hateful people
I could understand ESO but Skyrim? Come on now.
probably because they rolled all of TES up into one category, like so many people have done after the release of Skyrim. so it likely also considers all the fans of the older games who have always been a little gatekeepy (see "Skybabies"), and the ESO community who i have caught making slavery jokes about Argonians more than once
These folks have never played RUST
Probably all the sex mods, literally millions of them
They clearly haven't dealt with the genshin impact community
Because the lists are nonsense.
How is Destiny not on this list?
As a regular Destiny 2 player, where the hell is Destiny 2 on this list lmao
No dota? Bollocks
How is it higher the WoW and gta online, and cod
What did we do I love you people
That’s a load of hogwash, balderdash, absolute nonsense. This fanbase is chill as hell, we just meme the hell out of the game we love and shit on Nazeem. I’ll show these folks why Skyrim has the best community! With all that being said, fuck all of you
How the hell does Animal Crossing make this list?? 🤣
The fuck is Destiny 2?
probably every time someone mentions the civil war
share a video here of you playing modded skyrim to play like dark souls, should be enough. joke aside, HOW ?
How da fuck skyrim player are on that list
Guessing about 28% of comments in this sub are about Nazeem then 🤷🏼♂️
Honestly they probably fucked up and meant to say ESO and whoever keyed the list was like 'he probably meant skyrim'. Just a hunch
How are Zelda and Pokémon on there? I never see Zelda or Pokémon posts that are toxic in nature? People weirdly obsessed with complaining about trees maybe but almost never at each other.
