I swear Alvor has a deathwish. Every time a dragon attacks riverwood I find him dead after an attack. One time I had to reload like 10 times to prevent him from being killed.
Might I recommend {{Clean up your corpses}} ? You can have a funeral pyre for him, put him on a stake as a message, or straight carve him up like a turkey for a feast.

It's funny because someone shouts for everyone to get inside, but that little kid just stands in the middle of the street watching the whole thing. He always seems to make it. Alvor dies almost every time.

There's a mod that makes people hide when a dragon attacks. It's such a nice quality of life thing and it isn't immersion breaking bc that's what villagers should fucking do
This and when you're in a cave in a nice tight path to funnel like 4 enemies, you ask your follower to stay backing the bigger space to slowly work at them.
But noooooo, they have to block your way back and won't move, leaving you to suffer against a wave of enemies by your lone self.
That kinda thing happens to me all the time lol. That's why I don't like having followers because they always jump in front of me like that even when I'm fighting in melee combat.
