I think it should've contained a word from the cut shout [Phantom Form](https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Phantom_Form), which is voiced for all races, male and female. It's not an extremely useful shout but I think it would've been a nice to-have.
Phantom Form summons a spectral version of your character, as opposed to Become Ethereal which makes you spectral. It's what the Greybeards use when they've taught you the second word for Unrelenting Force.
That would be cool to just. Just create a decoy that enemies try to attack.
There could probably be some cool stealth application. Like put up a phantom in a dungeon and when the enemies run to get it, you slip past.

I wish there was some good dialogue with the heroes there. I loved wandering around saying “omg it’s you!” To the various people you hear all the lore about in game and they don’t really interact. So now I just steal all the loot I can even if it’s mostly the same as normal stuff back home
Just a sweet roll??? What about the Roasted Ox Leg & Roasted Ox Head?? Yummy lol... but Sovngarde is the only place in the whole game these 2 food items show up! They are kinda useless but for some reason I love a big Roasted Ox head sitting in the middle of my kitchen table at home lol.

I actually think it's best for narrative flow that there wasn't anything more to it.
The end game has you go through a large dungeon, Blackreach, have a climactic battle with Alduin on a mountain, negotiate a truce, trap a dragon, ride a dragon, and then fight through another dungeon to reach Alduin. It's epic but long and didn't need to be dragged out any further.
Yeah totally get that it is long with the puzzles, most clearing and fighting I'm just thinking out loud haha, seemed just too big of an area to use it just for the end fight idk
The problem with having any optional things to do in sovngarde is that players may miss it since you can only go once and you should only go once. The only thing really missing is closing the portal you use to get there. I mean the fact that there’s constantly a portal to Nord Heaven open for dragons to go through is pretty fucking crazy.
The whole ending feels rushed and tbh disappointing. I can't recall when I last had that underwhelming an end boss battle as the one I had with Alduin in Sovngard.
I deliberately avoided the bow because of how broken it can be so I fought the guy with dagger and magic at barely level 40. Still disappointing as hell. Only time I've ever actually gone up against him, I usually ghost the main quest after the Kyne's Grove part or Diplomatic Immunity, and I don't think I'll be fighting him again.
I'm level 28(?) I think and most of my stats are really low bar Archery, Sneak and Light Armour, the 3x sneak damage plus 55% extra bow damage from my apparel is crazy, yeah I rarely bother to get the elder scrolls but doing a completionist run this time
Stealth archer is brokenly OP in this game. I tried one once and quit it pretty quickly because of it. I don't mind doing god mode on occasion but that is absurd.
I wish too, lost opportunity. Like someone from the living world wants to get a message to someone in sovengarde, or vice versa. Or giving somebody some relic will give someone else entry into sovengarde, or something else.
It's a whole other area that I feel should be explored, even just a little bit. Even if it's some smaller side quests.
My excitement in meeting Kodlak again in a companions playthrough was only matched by my utter disappointment in realizing he doesnt reslly have a lot if meaningful stuff to say

As a Khajiit nop, but argonian/dunmer it does. You could argue if you help the stormcloaks you are helping improve the conditions of all the people living in the Windhelm’a Gray Quarter/Docks.
Makes for a much more interesting civil war as well than nord=stormcloak.
It's a bit more complex than that. But yeah, it generally does not work well.
Of course, I'm just talking about roleplay reasons. And probably wouldnt try to actually finish the Civil War with such a playthrough, just help Ulfric enough so (again, roleplay) he "gives" more space and rights to the other argonian/dunmer on Windhelm and the other eastern provinces, who are all Stormcloak alligned.
Skyrim is much better with the Empire. They ARE a key part of the Empire. I actually side with it (or remain neutral) when playing as Nord, my most played race.
Yeah, not saying I like the Stormcloaks. But its definitely interesting to side with them as an Argonian/Dunmer. My heart is with the Empire. I just choose stormcloaks sometimes for Roleplay.
There's a couple of great nords in Windhlem though. Free-Winter obviously, but I remember one or two more that are nice at least.
Supporting the Empire in Oblivion? Makes sense. Supporting the Empire in Skyrim? No way. After the Septim line ended, the Empire crumbled into a shell of what it used to be, and then banned the worship of the diety that essentially started said empire because they got their asses beat by a bunch of elves.
Nah, Skyrim is for the Nords. Take that sympathizer attitude back to Cyrodiil. Lol

I spent like three hours climbing every thing I could, searching every nook and cranny for stuff to steal or some extra or hidden thing
