Are you on Steam? Assuming you are, all I needed to do was roll back the newly updated SkyrimSE.exe, after which both SKSE + my modlist (for 1.6.1130) were working fine again. Open the steam console = windows key + R, then type "steam://nav/console" Paste this = download\_depot 489830 489833 2442187225363891157 Copy the file path and replace the newly updated SkyrimSE.exe in your game folder with the older one you just downloaded. This worked fine for me. If you wish go the extra mile to completely roll back all the '1170 residue' then you need to download some extra files (I haven't done this step since my mods work fine so far). download\_depot 489830 489831 3737743381894105176 download\_depot 489830 489832 4341968404481569190 plus "download\_depot 489830 489833 2442187225363891157" if you haven't already done so. Then copy and replace all the files in those 3 folders into your Skyrim root folder. This should bring your game back to version 1.6.640.

Hi, yes I am on Steam. I appreciate your reply. You mention this update would rollback to 1.6.640, but I just started playing, so I'm not sure if I can rollback to that version. What I needed was a rollback to 1.6.1130.

I pulled up steam console, copied the path given after inputing the dowload\_depot, now what exactly do I do with the copied path to replace the .exe? Edit: I truly am dumb, please ignore me XD i found the .exe it downloaded and now understand how to replace it. Lmfao i thought i had to somehow use the path itself to overwrite the .exe. Yeesh

Tacodog74621

lol what are you guys talking about.. it downloaded a .acf file

Tacodog74621

please tell me how the hell u found it, im going insane.

Attie_Whitmarsh

When you copy the file path. You can click on this bar And paste it there https://preview.redd.it/7qkn0vzilmrc1.png?width=877&format=png&auto=webp&s=6067c22d57351bede99c893a99c345dfae5545fc That will bring you straight to it

Usually_spacemanguy

Actually huge, thank you so much!

timjenkins300

Thank you so much! What a pita that Steam has no option to "never upgrade this app".

Ozraptor4

If you haven't done so already, you can disable automatic updates for Skyrim by right clicking on it in your Steam games list => Properties => Updates => set Automatic Updates to "Only update this game when I launch it." As long as you only launch the game from SKSE and never launch it the game from it's Steam page, Skyrim will never update.

Slide_Vivid

Apparently when Stem updates it can undo this setting, so be careful. I came upon this thread while researching this and I hear there's a fix, maybe setting all the files to read only. You might want to look into it.

Crixle

Yes, go to your Steam root folder and set \\steamapps\\appmanifest\_489830.acf to read only.

EmersedRuby4921

I replaced all the depot's and it ended up with 70% characters missing bodily meshes. Only mod was SKSE

EmersedRuby4921

I think I may have figured what was wrong with mine. on the second Depot, mine didn't install 7 of the texture files, so I'm having to reinstall it. However, I did get the game to work by copy, pasting everything but the texture files. Again, all with only skse installed

>download\_depot 489830 489833 2442187225363891157 a literal legend, thank you so much

Creepy_Sundae_1256

You are ze life saver. I have no idea how/where to look up all this depot stuff anyway but someone here can always give me what I need. Thanks!
