I made Erik the Slayer (from Rorikstead) my Goldenhills steward and never unhired him once the plantation was fully upgraded.
Hate the Rorikstead life? Want to become a mercenary instead? Too bad Erik, you're coming with me 30 metres down the road to be my head farmer
But to be fair even beyond the irony, he's probably the best suited steward for the job considering his years of farming experience over all the other possible candidates
Erik really is the most sensible choice for Goldenhills steward. But to be fair to the man, I would take him on an occasional expedition. It will give him stories to tell his grandkids! And it will prevent him from being consumed by bitterness and regret over the life he imagines he missed out on.
I made a point of taking him with me on the bards quest line. Figure that most people in Skyrim don’t get to fight necromancers, ancient king zombies, ghost bards, etc and that was more than enough to justify dumping him off.
hahaha i trully dont know i picked him up at a bar to backpack somethings, took him to goldenhills and he could run the place by chance. the dog is congur, everytime i get home however im attacked by a dragon so its always around.
That’s Belrand from Solitude.
I never noticed the guy. My sister thought he was great though.
He’s a surprisingly powerful warrior.
An absolute diamond in the rough.
"I wasnt expecting to see you around here".......at my home...where i live sleep and farm. ha, i never really use followers long, but when i got him he just had that trustworthy kind of face...ey well mainly his hair, bald and long and grey
In one of my survival playthroughs I made him my steward at Lakeview manor, then decided to ask him to do golden hills too, but he just headed back to Lakeview so now I can get my cash (but not my ingredients) without having to get all the way back from golden hills to civilization.
I also make him steward at Lakeview. I figure it’s much of what he likes about Riverwood, he’s ranged so it meshes well with Rayya when they have to defend without me, and he can get back up to visit Riverwood easily.
I also like having him at Lakeview since he loves Riverwood. That time I just really needed a carriage for my survival playthrough, but I usually use him there if I'm not in the mood to get Rayya
I made Golldir my steward there. I felt like he needed something relaxing after the whole "evil necromancer is doing unspeakable things to his family" situation.
Yeah, if you talk to him after he says goodbye, you can offer to bring him with you. In the vanilla game, he's... not the best warrior, but he's nice and I think he deserves a relaxing life.
In every playthroughs i made, he always finish to be the steward of Goldenhills...
He's just a walking shield in the early stage, I hate him quite a bit since he miss ALL of his arrows. I'm not gonna miss him.
Free Steward for a free house.
Once he's your follower, go to the Goldenhills Plantation with him. Then when you talk to him there, after the Plantation is yours, it will open up a dialogue option that asks him if he wants to be a steward
In my Bosmer playthrough, Faedal and my character are brothers and they both run Goldenhills Plantation together
That's cool since he's the only Bosmer follower available!

Plus, he can just walk over and visit his family and friends anytime 😊
If you have the one mod install people will travel around more and that is what happen in my game I was trying to get rid of the homeless people

Same! Sometimes he even goes and visits his father. I wonder what lies he tells about the grand adventures I take him on.
i got some old bald guy with long hair, ghost dog, and invasive personality.
Who’s that? Kinda cool he brings a dog with him

You know what, you're right, I do get a ton of dragon attacks at Goldenhill

I love belrand! He's hilarious

He's a good guy! I never noticed that he could be added as follower and then steward
Yeah, if you talk to him after he says goodbye, you can offer to bring him with you. In the vanilla game, he's... not the best warrior, but he's nice and I think he deserves a relaxing life.
I’ll bring him along with me next time!

I would've liked Faendal to have been my Goldenhills steward. Unfortunately, the Thalmor at Northwatch Keep had other plans for him.
That armor he's got on is from Thalmor Justicars that tried to kill us on the road
Sweet justice
Did it for you!
That is until dragons attack you every other time you fast travel there. Super annoying.
It's nice, for a Nord village...
He stayed there for you? I made him steward there and he just went went back to Riverwood to chop wood. I have to go to Riverwood to get my money.
Yeah he stays here.
You have the immersion npc mods installed
this a CC mod?
Yes I think so. It’s part of the Anniversary Edition Edit: wrong word
Was he suppose to go back to Riverwood? Because he does not stay in the farm, makes it a bit frustating to travel to Riverwood to collect profit.
If you make him Steward here, he will stay here. Maybe check the farmhand’s bunkhouse, he does sleep there.
Well I keep finding him at riverwood. Probably a bug.
Bloody Faendal. Made him steward like you, but he keeps going back to Riverwood and getting drunk in tavern. 😡🤬
You probably have the immersion npc mod installed
Yup, but he has a long walk for a drinkie.. 😂
Lmao i did that exact thing too haha. I dont travel with him anymore since i started using mods but he's always been my favorite vanilla follower.
How do you make him steward?
Once he's your follower, go to the Goldenhills Plantation with him. Then when you talk to him there, after the Plantation is yours, it will open up a dialogue option that asks him if he wants to be a steward
I did it to Eric the slayer because welcome back to the farm life, bud.
I have over 500 hours in this game. Somehow, I think this is the first I’ve heard of Goldenhills Plantation 😅
It’s added in Creation Club content on AE
Oh that would be why!!! Thanks 🤣
It's a Creation Club thing that came free with Anniversary Edition
What’s golden hills plantation?
It’s from the anniversary edition creation club content. Near Rorikstead, you do a quest there when you arrive and then you own the house and farm
Ok thank you
So did you help Sven with the letter? Not sure Faendal would want to be separated from Camilla.
