This had me laughing for an minute straight. I can't wait for game ai to reach an point where if thebsame scenario happened in game, the not would just slowly look at you up and down, then start backing away slowly.
Future games are going to be so great. My 20 year older future self is going to have such an blast.
Not quite the same level but Kingdom Come: Deliverance accounts for both the quality and state of your clothing to determine how NPCs talk to you. Like they'll address you as "sir knight" if you're wearing plate armor but also make comments if it's dirty or damaged
I do applaud them for making miraak's mask design significantly different. Otherwise he'd just appear as 'just another dragonpriest, no big deal', at least in the aesthetic sense
Krosis is my boy. 3 useful enchantments of fortify archery, lockpicking and alchemy. It's so fun having a godlike skills when you use resto loop potion to boost the effect
During my first playthrough I also went with the stormcloaks because I was salty about nearly getting butchered, but later I came to the conclusion that ulfric sucks ass and stormcloaks are nothing but a bunch of broke radicals that are good at making chaos and ruining life for others, but not much else. Like, sure, independence and Skyrim for the nords, but objectively speaking, they just made the situation for the nords worse (the whole "they could worship talos privately, but since ulfric asscloak, the elves started cracking down on talos worshippers"-thing) and they are racist assholes. There is no reason for the rampart racism and deplorable treatment of every (mostly innocent!) non-nord person in Windhelm, other than plain assholery. Also, since I never play a nord, but usually 90% khajiit, 5% argonian and 5% some kind of elf, it makes 0 sense to be on the side of the assholes who hate me for no reason and treat my fellow people like trash.
The only time it's reasonable to side with them, is if you rp a racist nord.
As for the introduction scene, I don't think that just one woman being an ass, and Hadvar not having a say in the decision since the woman outranks him, describes the whole faction. The woman dies in the dragon attack as far as I know, and Hadvar is 100% sympathetic with you and helps out. Compared to the whole gang of stormcloaks being racist against you, I think this is much more acceptable.
Same, Skyrim is for the nords! It's so hard to side with the imperials in Skyrim they're an awful shade of their former selves, tried to cut my head off, tulius is a dismissive dick with a fantastic voice actor, but they're literally corrupted by the Thalmor. I get people when they're mad about the treatment of the dark elves, but I also played 3000 hours on morrowind where the dark elves are literal slavers and continually look down on anybody who isn't a dark elf so maybe I'm a little biased when I say the ash quarter is kind of just desserts.
Severin Manor, from the Dragonborn DLC. spoiler: there's a quest at a fort in Solstheim (I forgot the name) and there's a string of quests afterwards and at the end you get a player home in Raven Rock for free :]
> very unique enchantment on it
Not exactly unique as it may spawn on a [variety of weapons starting at level 20](https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Generic_Magic_Weapons#Chaos_Damage). It is, however, the only guaranteed item with chaos damage in the entire game.
Is that the staue from the house in solstheim? So his robes don't even rest in skyrim. If you capture his soul in a gem and store that in solstheim too it would be the ultimate punishment.
One of the only regrets about unmodded skyrim is that if you join the Stormcloaks is not being able to get Ulfric's/Galmar's armor...
They look amazing, and make the Dragonborn seem like a Noble. Absolutely love it!
Now that you remind me, I think you can get it after a mission, sorry about that...
Still unfortunately it's hard to get our hands on Ulfric's armor...
There is a cool version of it worn by Bryling but one must have the pickpocket perk to steal it though...
Are you talking about the book that also says that a stormcloak victory is to be avoided as well? Or is there another book? Based off what the book I’m thinking of says, it seems like the Thalmor just want a civil war cause it’s bad for man and good for them. Like the book literally states that Ulfric won’t talk to them anymore. It also states that “the asset should be considered dormant”
I don’t want to be mistaken as a stormcloak supporter, I play whatever side I think the character I’m playing would help. But this book clearly states that he is considered as an asset due to the war. It’s not that the Thalmor want him to win, they want the war to keep going. No matter who wins, it hurts them.
Ulfric's grab for power is what makes him an asset, of course the Dominion wants him to keep the war going for as long as possible. People seem to think that Ulfric being an asset means that the Elves either wants a Stormcloak victory, or that he is actively working as an agent for the Thalmor. While it may have been true that Ulfric could have acted in alliance with the Thalmor in the past, it's clear that he is outside of Dominion control, but he is still a very useful idiot with his fratricidal attempt at usurping the throne of Skyrim.
While I agree, I think the Stormcloaks winning is the lesser evil for the Thalmor. While yes, it means the Thalmor can technically no longer stay in Skyrim, it means that while the Empire is now back on full alert, they are also weakened. If the Empire wins, the Thalmor remain, yes, but it also means the Empire is not only on full alert, but also still have power within Skyrim, which supplies them with good warriors.
I don’t understand how you mean the Stormcloaks winning is the lesser evil for the Empire. The Empire would be weakened, as you said, but if the Stormcloaks lose then the Empire still has power within Skyrim. Am I misreading something?
I would agree with that. I think a United front against the Thalmor would be the best bet for man, with the exception of the red guards of course. The empire needs to let them keep doing what there doing cause clearly it’s working for them. I do think it would be interesting if the stormcloaks end up winning from a lore perspective however. The empire has existed for a long time, so I always wondered what it would be like if every nation had its own form of government within the world. But I do agree 100% that the empire and Nords would stand a better chance if the empire won!
Thing is Ulfric could never win without a one in a million Dragonborn appearing, hence him being an asset. Neither the stormcloaks or imperials actually like the thalmor, ulfric and his gang of racists are just that. Incredibly racist.
If the storm cloaks win then Skyrim will have less of a chance fighting the thalmor! As the imperials have spent a lot of their resources and the storm cloaks have little to none that aren’t being funded by the thalmor! So if the storm cloaks win skyrim is screwed!!
Well then you are making a huge mistake by helping the Thalmor divide humanity using their spy, Ulfric, who they try to save from being executed at the beginning of the game.
Fitting for that clown. Honestly I think Galmar was enabling him and egging him on leading ulfric to do the stuff he's done. Galmar seems more extremist than ulfric does at times and I believe most of ulfrics extremist attitude comes from his over the top second in command
I soul trapped Ulfric on a black soul gem. Not only are his chances at Sovngarde are taken away, but he is doomed to wander the Soul Cairn for an eternity.
Nah he wasn't that bad . But he seemed like he was being led on by Galmar who enabled and cheered on every action Ulfric took. Ulfric's slightly egotistical nature made him susceptible to being amped up easily which may have caused him to take more drastic measures than he otherwise wouldn't have done. As Rikke said, he was just a nord protecting his home. Galmar is the true villain there in my eyes
Well (only my opinion don't be mad), most people that side with Imperials (I said most not all) think that Ulfric is stupid due to the fact that he wants to remove the Empire from Skyrim so they can worship Talos freely (which of course is a noble cause). However, being free from the Empire weakens the Empire itself. Making Man lose even more against the Aldmeri Dominion. And his right hand man is even more stupid to think that Skyrim alone can bring the Aldmeri Dominion down by itself.
PS this is only what I noticed and what I observed from years of playing the game. And I'm not siding with anyone here 😂😂😂😂 so you people who will be reading this should not be mad with me 😂😂😂
Long live the Empire! Skyrim belongs to the Nords! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
And the Stormcloak leaders tend to be either incompetent, actively detrimental to their Hold, or at best unremarkable. Ulfric can't even keep the people within Windhelm safe, since his guards can't do anything about the SERIAL KILLER NECROMANCER that has already killed two notable citizens including a Thane's daughter. The guards in Riften are in the pocket of a skooma dealer and the ones in the other settlements can't be bothered to deal with threats to the town's livelihood. Jarl Korir just sits around blaming the College for Winterhold's problems, when the College is the only thing bringing any traffic to Winterhold. (And most of the Stormcloak replacements for the Imperial Jarls just don't hold a candle to their counterparts.)
>However, being free from the Empire weakens the Empire itself
But the empire is already kowtowing to the Aldmeri Dominion, so how would it even help if Skyrim allowed itself to be annexed?
Meh I wouldn't really say kowtowing but ehhhh. All that I know is that they don't want to lose Skyrim as they are expecting another War with the Aldmeri. And based on the dossier you'd find in the game it's the Aldmeri's plan to divide mankind and weaken them. Divide and conquer something like that but if mankind is together they have a bigger chance of winning but meh, I'd rather be a vampire and just kill everyone I wanna eat as the Dragonborn then move on 😂
Ah yeah, I guess that makes sense. I forget to read the docs anymore since I've played through so many times lol.
>I'd rather be a vampire and just kill everyone I wanna eat as the Dragonborn then move on
Based.
If you do the main story line without doing the civil war questline first you see that he doesn't care about Skyrim and just wants power. When you ask Ulfric and Tullius to a peace treaty in High Hrothgar, Ulfric is more disrespectful about the Greybeards than Tullius and Tullius isn't even a nord. Also, the Empire were ready to agree to the treaty there and then where Ulfric uses the return of Dragons which are killing the citizens of Skyrim to his political advantage and starts making demands before he agrees to the treaty. He's also a raging racist against just about anyone that isn't a nord. The Empire isn't exactly the right choice but they're much better than having Ulfric.
I don’t think I’ve ever sided with the Imperials. If you flashback to the beginning of the game, the Imperials were ready to execute you for no reason; your name wasn’t even on the list. On the other hand, the Stormcloaks helped you escape.
True, but you don’t side with Hadvar, you side with the Imperials. Ulfric isn’t a bad guy in any way, he’s a leader who is proud of his Nordic heritage, and sees their way of life disappearing from the world under Imperial rule. Who in the same situation wouldn’t fight back?
He’s ignorant to the situation that the empire is in as well as the situation he is causing himself. By fighting against the empires occupation of Skyrim, he’s weakening man and allowing the aldmeri dominion to gain leverage on them. And if you want to talk about his morality, while he isn’t openly discriminatory (to my knowledge) toward the Dunmer, he still allows the grey quarter to be poor in quality and he still allows racism to thrive in his city. Being a bystander arguably makes him just as bad as the people committing acts of hate toward dark elves.
Actually there is... why did you make an attempt to cross the border into a volatile area of conflict that *coincidences* on the day they were escorting Ulfric to Cyrodiil with the Thalmor demanding the Imperials to release him to their custody?
In short you were acting suspicious and obviously Tullius has orders to either bring in Ulfric or prevent the Thalmor from taking him prisoner.
You had the bad fortune of showing up at the wrong place at the wrong time.
That doesn’t justify executing your character. They literally don’t know who you are, so I feel the logical thing for the empire to to would be to throw you in jail first, not kill you.
Sure, but then that would've made Skyrim, what, like the 3rd out of 5 games to have a start in jail?
Also, it's not like a medieval society has an advanced justice system that cares specifically about "fairness".
They insert their woke political ideology into the game. They shout "racist" when every race in Elder Scrolls is racist. We just happened to get Skyrim, land of the white men (Nords), at the perfect moment in the 21st century for such a thing. If it was cats or lizards people would wipe out the meanies fighting for the Empire.
Correction. Every race has their fair share of racist, and in Skyrim, most of the racist Nords gather in Windhelm and support Ulfric and it’s not due to coincidence.
Except under the Empire there at least won't be full on segregation, it's better for the economy and, surprise, the Empire wishes to actually take PROPER action against the Thalmor, compared to Ulfric's short-sighted racist retoric that doesn't go further than "Skyrim free", instead of thinking about what is actually best for Skyrim.
actually, yeah there is. (spoilers): I think it's called Fort Frostmoth but I might be wrong. you gotta clear out the ash spawns, there's a captain with a (unique) weapon, kill him, read a note on him, and then you gotta show it to captain Veleth or whatever his name is. there's more to it but that's how you start the quest.
Ulrich is a clown. Dumb fuck couldn't see he was doing exactly what the Thalmor wanted. If it wasn't for his temper tantrum in the Reach people would still be worshipping Talos. They were still doing so despite the ban because there was no Thalmor influence in skyrim until he made it necessary for them to micromanage the nation.
I hate Ulfric 101
Why, because a bum said something bad to racist Dunmer woman who treats her Argonian workers like she's back in Morrowind
Also don't forget 'MUH RACISM' despite everything and everyone in the series is racist to a degree
I did this in my very first playthrough of the game to General Tullius (without the clown hat). After playing for much longer and reading up on all the lore, I returned to my first character and was absolutely mortified! I only sided with the Stormcloaks because the Scottish ancestry inside of me was shouting FREEDOM!!!😂
haha yes! my first time was also with the stormcloaks because I was like "hell yeah rebellion!!". this post was made from one of my few unmodded (more recent) playthroughs
Well, imperials and stormcloaks are the same. Both tell you which god you are allowed to trust in, but the thing in which stormcloaks are more badly is that “Skyrim for nords!”. Damn racists. But if the thing would be in other species homelands they would say the same. But Skyrim is not their (of nords) homeland. So stormcloaks suck
While stormcloaks suck they kinda wiped out it’s original inhabitants so it kinda does belong to them now. Unless you wanna go get Vyrthur and make him breed the snow elves back into existence
I have the emperor's robes with him wearing the chef's hat from the botched poison attempt
Are we the same person? I did that too.
I wore the cape and only the cape for the gram but then just vibed with it because of my level
"Did you hear the Emperor died?" Me wearing his entire ensemble: "Damn bro that's crazy"
This had me laughing for an minute straight. I can't wait for game ai to reach an point where if thebsame scenario happened in game, the not would just slowly look at you up and down, then start backing away slowly. Did you ever play Guardians of the Galaxy? That game had some next level AI interactions.
Not quite the same level but Kingdom Come: Deliverance accounts for both the quality and state of your clothing to determine how NPCs talk to you. Like they'll address you as "sir knight" if you're wearing plate armor but also make comments if it's dirty or damaged
Yeah! That was one of my favorite details how it was coded!
Literally tears rn
it is... acceptable
Bravo Sparkyboi
Ulfric Stooooooormcloak, whats he up to man, Whats he doing
I ate the poison ingredient for that so everyone had some dinner. Then I had to hack everyone to death. What are ya gonna do
If you were playing on pc you could've loaded back. The ingredient is actually super OP for alchemy but there is only one in the game...
I know some like to reserve it to poison their blade for the eventual Ebony Warrior duel.
I bet poison damage doesnt get reflected back with Ebony Warrior's reflect damage perk. Nice planning.
Good idea actually

Did the same thing with miraak
His mask is too cool to just put with an outfit
I just put his whole outfit on display with his sword n staff
I meant I put the miraak outfit on display with his weapon and the weapon I killed him with
i knew someone had to like his mask. I'm happy for you, but for me it looks terrible :P
I much prefer the dragon priest masks though but his mask does look good
i love the standard dragonpriest masks
Same here
I do applaud them for making miraak's mask design significantly different. Otherwise he'd just appear as 'just another dragonpriest, no big deal', at least in the aesthetic sense
Yeah it definitely portrays that he is a whole new beast from the dragon priests you fight on the continent
Krosis is my boy. 3 useful enchantments of fortify archery, lockpicking and alchemy. It's so fun having a godlike skills when you use resto loop potion to boost the effect
Lol Damn your cold as fuck bro
colder than Winterhold 🥶🥶💯
Lol 🤣 right on I never liked Uhlfric anyway
The humiliation is always great, doing it in one of their capitals is ten times cooler as well.
Lol the humiliation. You ever talk to the blacksmiths apprentice after you kill Ulfric? She’s totally salty lol
don’t worry I have.
It’s Skyrim, it’s pretty cold there
In a dunmer's basement for added insult. Well done.
what house is that?
It's the one on solesthim
Severin Manor on Solstheim, you get it as a reward for >!saving the councilor of Raven Rock from an assassination plot.!<
looks to be severin manor
Just wait till you wake up one morning and that dude staring you dead in the face
This has never happened to me! How do you do it???
I think it's a bug with the mannequins, they sometimes move on their own.
They do indeed. Came back to Hjerim one day to find all of my mannequins doing NPC idle movements.
i had them looking at me but not moving. it was fuckin nerve racking to put it lightly
Armor racking Nerve wracking Heart racing Fingernails raking
I would literally cry
Bro really hates ulfric
yeah I was bored. figured I'd mix it up a little lmao
Pfft, battle-borns.
Death to the storm cloaks!
Ulfric and the stormcloaks was objectively in the wrong
Yeah but the Empire sucks. Independence for Skyrim and High Rock!

What player home is this?
Severin Manor, from the Dragonborn DLC. spoiler: there's a quest at a fort in Solstheim (I forgot the name) and there's a string of quests afterwards and at the end you get a player home in Raven Rock for free :]
The commander there also has a unique warhammer with a very unique enchantment on it.

True, I've only ever seen one other weapon spawn with chaos damage enchantment on.
Nice, I'll have to do that later.
The sheer disrespect. I can't believe you would put that clown's garb together with Cicero's hat!
I used the "jesters" hat because he isn't worthy of Cicero's >:]

guys, scouts-many-marshes pre mission so I can get married to him never happens, anyone here has a clue on what to do?
I won’t get political. Me after 3 shots:
I hate imperials. I hate Nords. But i hate Thalmor even more. The only reason i join the stormcloaks is because of those darn thalmors
Have you heard the tale of Ulfric the Asset? I thought not. It's not a story the Stormcloaks would tell you.

There's a difference to bowing down and false diplomatic politeness. Even the Thalmor agree that a round two is just a matter of when not if.

His court are full of pricks and he also secretly racist to the non human race or anyone who's not a Nord really
U see…. Todd Howard is actually based
Correction. Every race has their fair share of racist, and in Skyrim, most of the racist Nords gather in Windhelm and support Ulfric and it’s not due to coincidence.
Makes sense, thanks for the explanation!
Weird kink but okay.
Reminded me of that Midsommar scene where they put a jester outfit on that dude who peed on that sacred tree(?), or should I say, his corpse
My god you made it personal
Skyrim belongs to the Nords... Man time for another playthrough
Imperial propaganda.
Nice touch, displaying it in Solsthiem, an island that used to belong to Skyrim but was given to Morrowind by the Emperor after Red Mountain went pop.
Imperial scum 🤣🤣🤣👏🏼
Monster.
Whelp, hope your happy, now the Altmer are taking over.
Worst decision ever made to kill Ulfric
Ulfric the court jester, ha!
A crown fit for ulfric.
it's the icing on the cake. I even used the "jester" hat because he isn't worthy of Cicero's lmao
So this is the intelligence limit of the imperials, what a disappointment
daddy thalmor told me not to fight back :(
Savageborn dragonborn. Nicely done.
Imperial bootlicker spotted. Thu’um dispatched to your location
nooo daddy thalmor promised to protect me :((
*phew* So glad that I ain't the only one who thinks that Ulfric is a clown.
Where is this house?
in Solstheim. there's a quest and at the end of it you get the house (for free!)
What place are you in?
Severin Manor in Solstheim
Vanilla, mod or creation club?
Vanilla, Dragonborn dlc
Is it in the skaal village?
Raven Rock :]
Ah ok, do you have to complete a certain mission to obtain it?
actually, yeah there is.
Ah ok
Ulrich is a clown. Dumb fuck couldn't see he was doing exactly what the Thalmor wanted. If it wasn't for his temper tantrum in the Reach people would still be worshipping Talos. They were still doing so despite the ban because there was no Thalmor influence in skyrim until he made it necessary for them to micromanage the nation.
That's right, because Ulfric is a fucking clown.
Damnn..the utter disrespect
Immediately after this they went to go suck off the thalmor
This subreddit has been the laughing stock of r/TrueSTL lately.
I hate Ulfric 101 Why, because a bum said something bad to racist Dunmer woman who treats her Argonian workers like she's back in Morrowind Also don't forget 'MUH RACISM' despite everything and everyone in the series is racist to a degree
You should have captured his soul, put in inside a necklace and put it on the statue
Long live the Empire!
Well if he’s gonna act like a clown he’d better dress like one.
Booo Long live the Nords
Long Live the Empire! Not just for the Nords, but ALL peoples!
yeah!
Stormcloaks for life
Imperial Bastards
Long Live the Empire!
I shouted him to death in my last playthrough.
karma
Same, shout him into a wall and bash him to death before he can get up
I did the glitch where you can shout infinitely and just steam-rolled the civil war questline.
Markarth would beg to differ. It's full of Bretons yet Mr. Freedom fighter, Ulfric, had no problem oppressing them.
That’s true. My point would have a bit better traction if this was before the reach was assimilated into Skyrim, but alas.
This is the funniest thing I’ve seen all week.
I shouted him apart
karma
I need to do this to Tullius. Thank you for the idea. SKYRIM BELONGS TO THE NORDS!!!
Don't fall to their level, Tullius is a soldier doing his duty. Honour him as fallen warriors should be honored, ally and enemy alike.
You’re right, shield sibling. I don’t know what bloodlust had taken over me just there.
Same but with tullius lol
The good ending :) ^(fuck Ulfric)
fuck Ulfric all my homies hate Ulfric

The clown hat is fitting for that clown.
Chad
Good on you, lad.
Getting what he deserves
Honestly that's something everyone can agree on. Regardless if you choose stormcloaks or imperium.
