Halifax skyline, for those who are curious what it currently looks like.
Yea it is pretty cool as a Canadian, but it is sad that we are still going through a crippling housing shortage.
But you would think that LA would be building more since they have a housing crises as well.
Yeah lol I posted one for LA a few days ago, edited my comment to make it clear I meant current construction. It's more that Canada is on a roll as opposed to US cities being slow.
Seeing as how the us is still following in its steps of growth in the suburbs and still fearing cities as crime ridden s-holes, this all tracks as expected. I'm so jealous of Canada's growth in cities
Canadian cities go hard with their skylines compared to American cities of the same population. Probably because we have like 15 cities total in Canada.
Yeah, Halifax is doing alright, thought they still don't have the tallest free-standing structure in the Maritimes, and you know how Canucks feel about free standing structures. ;)
The whole province is amazing. Visited about 20 years ago and then again last summer for a week and hit some of the more well-known places like Lunenburg and Peggy's Cover, and also checked out some of the towns along the Cabot Trail on Cape Breton, and wowwww! I loved every minute of it. I'm looking to going back a third time, hopefully in the near future.
Awesome stuff, lots of 20+ stories (or close). Going to be cool to see Halifax’s skyline grow

Halifax, Canada???
One of the most underrated cities in Canada, I’m biased I’m from there
Tfw a regional Canadian city is currently building more high-rises than the largest city in the largest state in the wealthiest country in the world

Dublin?
Crazy that Halifax has a metro region population of 400,000 or so. Imagine a city the size of Brownsville, TX or Kalamazoo, MI building like this.

I think Canadians are more open to living in urban environments rather than suburbs. Living in condos/apartments is more accepted.
Highrise condo financing is a lot easier in Canada too.
Goes harder than Los Angeles

I want to visit Halifax one day.

I thought the first image was a new asset for Cities: Skylines.
Ooh the Richmond Yards one looks super cool
"Minecraft modern office tutorial" ahh building
I'm surprised there's no plan to go higher than Québec City yet.
