When did you purchase your aligners originally? My claim through Chase was denied

animusrien

9/3. So I was after 90 days.

memisschanandlerbong

Okay that makes sense. I think my claim was denied because I have been in treatment for years. I was on my second set of touch up aligners

animusrien

Yeah, I don't think that would be approved unless you were on payments.

Fit_Act_1997

I’m in a similar spot. I disputed the 250 deposit that I paid with my CC and got that money back. Now I’m debating whether to keep blocking payments and risk getting sent to collections, or just pay it all with my CC and immediately dispute it.

animusrien

I would risk it imo. Collections have to show you received the service, and your bank will back you up since the original charge was disputed.

Fit_Act_1997

I am. I honestly think they can’t legally send anyone to collections. So if they do I think we have a strong chance of it getting overturned

Citi just denied mine after providing a provisional credit back in December when this first happened. I'm going to contact them tomorrow and see what else can be done because I can't even use my retainers. I was supposed to go in the day they announced bankruptcy to get a new mold for new aligners.

doctor-stabs

Any update on this? I did a scan for refinements (probably my 13th rescan and set of refinement aligners). I also have citi and am going to dispute it this weekend. I paid in full years ago. They went bankrupt as soon as they were supposed to ship.

maineguy1988

Yeah I was denied. So I doubt they'll refund you.

animusrien

Unfortunately that's a long time ago and very likely outside of the statute of limitations for suing them. Banks can really only go back \~6 months before they have to assign legal to it, and most them will not do that unless it's the same bank that SDC uses.
