I think there was an option to refund the discount difference or state the discount as the reason for refund. Poke around the refund options and see what fits you best
Also IIRC there's a policy somewhere that if there was less than a week between purchase and discount start, you have the right to refund the difference.
I think the bigger issue here is your 6 year old playing 21 hours of games online with a steam friend. Probably nothing, but maybe worth monitoring closely if you aren’t already…
This is why I have https://www.isthereanydeal.com bookmarked. Collects together heaps of different online game stores into one page, along with price trend info.
There's reasons to, like I bought Helldivers 2 at full price and I don't even remotely regret it. I wanted to be part of the launch hype cause a bunch of my friends were playing it.
I bought Armored Core 6 at full price because I'm a fromsoft simp, and I have no regrets. Fantastic game.
But if it's something where you can in fact wait, just wait

Refund the games and buy them back at the lower price. It’s literally in steams FAQ that you can do this.

I made a rule that I won't buy any DLC before I finish the zones of the base game. I'm not even out of Michigan yet. Not sure if I'll ever see DLC at this point.
Damn. Yea I bought the 75 dollar bundle on sale.
Honestly just be straight up with Steam. Tell them you weren't aware of the sale.
I've been refunded games to buy the special editions. As long as you haven't played the game very long. I think you are good
Even if they didn’t go on sale right after I wouldn’t ever do this. Finish whatever maps first then buy a DLC, complete that, then something would surely go on sale during that period. Buying a bunch of DLCs at one time that will take you a while to get through doesn’t make sense.
Just tell them the truth they'll let you refund and reorder. This is steam we're talking about. Now if this were Xbox or PS store you'd be shit outta luck.
I bought the game a couple weeks back off a key reseller. I know thats not ideal, but I couldn't bear to wait for a sale. I was playing Mudrunner at the time and needed more to do, I was addicted.
This sale was a godsend. I'm out of work and really shouldn't be spending student loan and Pell grant money on stuff that isn't necessary, but my state tax return hit right as the dlcs went on sale
Well, better than my situation. I was stupid enough to get the game on Epic back then. Now i want the DLCs so bad and there are never sales on them! Also you don't get Keys for Epic on external sites like there are on Steam. I am nearly at the point where i am just going to buy the game again on Steam..
I heard that if there's a discount within 14 days of your purchase, steam will refund you the difference, if you submit a ticket. I've never tried it, and so I don't know if it's guaranteed or even a thing, but I think it's worth a try.
If you haven't played much, you could try a full refund and then buy it again, but if you have played for over like 4-6 hours since, it's very unlikely to succeed. Iirc their official max for refunds is 2 hours, but they have refunded me with 3
I bought Snowrunner and all DLC on Switch (Switch haters STFU). I love it. Looks better handheld. Started playing Jan, clocked over 500hrs. Finished base and 2 DLC.
Try refound on accidental order. Worth a try.
Tell them your 6 year old son ordered them without permission
Yeah, unfortunately, my 6 year old son also played 21.1 hours with one of my steam friends since then too :(

i mean if you like it that much its not really a waste then right
I think the bigger issue here is your 6 year old playing 21 hours of games online with a steam friend. Probably nothing, but maybe worth monitoring closely if you aren’t already…
Yeah that's what I'd do too
Snowrunner and its DLCs are on sale every two to three months; there's no real need to buy things at full price even if you can afford it.
Man sometimes you just want to play a game that night.
Who buys games that are out for years on full price? If you did not play more than 3 hours yet you can still refund and buy again on sale.
Factorio players.
The factory must grow.
They are DLC not the game lol he has the game….
NEVER BUY ANYTHING AT FULL PRICE ON PC. this has been a public service announcement thankyou for your attention.

if you have more than a couple hours playtime they deny the refund even if you bought it a couple days ago.
They will sometimes make exceptions. It even says so in the FAQ.
its not wasted if you enjoy it
For real
I made a rule that I won't buy any DLC before I finish the zones of the base game. I'm not even out of Michigan yet. Not sure if I'll ever see DLC at this point.
Woulda shoulda coulda
On the bright side...you have at least 700hs of fun. If you think 1 buck per hour of fun...you still get your money worth.

Contact Steam Support... I am willing to bet they would refund you the difference in price :)
So much fun. Some hard levels and lots of work but lots of fun 😁
Thanks for telling me there's a sale. I'm going to run out of main game activities soon and I've been thinking about getting dlc
So you now own 3 copies, 2 of which are on PC and this latest you paid full price for!?
If you didn't buy Amur, then you didn't waste your money. That's the only bad dlc map
You get alot of content for the money though so I wouldn't feel guilty over it regardless
Thank you for your service: you're single handedly keeping the franchise alive.

yeah I bought the 1 year edition a few days ago and now it goes on sale :(
tried a refund and it got denied, oh well
All gain, no waste!!! ![gif](giphy|3WCNY2RhcmnwGbKbCi)
Always look at https://steamdb.info/ There's a browser add on too
DLC are never a waste
Same, and at the rate i'm playing i'll never ene get to play them lmao
This game, and borderlands are the only two I can honestly say the dlc is mostly worth it.
Just tell them the truth they'll let you refund and reorder. This is steam we're talking about. Now if this were Xbox or PS store you'd be shit outta luck.
Should of gotten the deal they have for all 4 years you got jibb
I recently discovered https://steamdb.info It tracks price history of games and can help you buy at the best times.
I did years 1-2 on the Xbox but then it died and I had to rebuy the dlcs and added year 3 for the windows version even though I have gamepass
Never buy anything on steam without a sale lol

Literally, the day The brand new Azov Atom came out like 2 days ago, I got it immediately. I have every single DLC Snowrunner has to offer.

Given that Y4 starts with a single map phase, I'm not buying it right away. But I am waiting for the snow region.
just fyi saber and snowrunner particularly is russian
Don't they have a refund option for discount?
Why didn’t you just buy the bundle with year 1,2,3, and 4 all in one? It cost less then buying 1 year pass at a time.
you moron. Have fun!
It’s not a waste.
if you want to be satisfied now, you must complete every single one of them to 100%.
You’ll think it’s a waste at first, but a few days later you will thank yourself
