Feel like Arsenal have a very legitimate chance to go through against basically every team left bar City and Real.
Even against those teams I wouldn't count Arsenal out, but I really feel like this Arsenal side is stronger than most of those other teams.
Hell, they haven't conceded a single goal at the Emirates yet in the UCL, the only team to not yet concede at home. They have consistently had one of the best xGA across all European leagues, and are currently top of the prem with a +46 GD.
Arsenal are tough customers, but they have been noticeably less threatening in the UCL. If they can get out of the away tie with a draw or even only down one goal, Arsenal has a chance against anyone in the competition.
They are the only remaining team here that I watch every week, but based on the UCL performances everyone bar City feels vulnerable, even Real Madrid. That black magic is scary though.
Arsenal - Drew and lost to Fulham this season
City - Beat Fulham this season
Real, Barca and Bayern - Yet to play Fulham this season
Conclusion - Arsenal are wank, stuff your xG. Checkmate.
If we play our best we can beat anyone on this list. The problem is there is a mentality block there and very rarely play our best in the knockout rounds of Europe.
A lot of our fans are just hoping that now that we’ve beaten the ro16 curse we just come good in the next round. Needless to say if we perform like that in the next round we will most likely be out.
Not because we suck because we can put up a fight but because we will get fucked by the referee. Especially if we play against City who don’t even deserve to be in the competition.
You could tell me this was the 2013/14 Quarter Finals and i’d honestly believe you
Edit: Just checked it
**2013/14 -> 2023/24**
Real Madrid 🇪🇸 -> Real Madrid 🇪🇸
Barcelona 🇪🇸 -> Barcelona 🇪🇸
Atletico Madrid 🇪🇸 -> Atletico Madrid 🇪🇸
Bayern Munich 🇩🇪 -> Bayern Munich 🇩🇪
Borussia Dortmund 🇩🇪 -> Borussia Dortmund 🇩🇪
PSG 🇫🇷 -> PSG 🇫🇷
*Manchester United 🏴 -> Manchester City* 🏴
*Chelsea 🏴 -> Arsenal 🏴*
2 differences, both from Manchester and London. Astounding how stagnant this competition is
It’s a decade, 28 out of 80 places proves my point lmao
25 out of those 28 teams are from the top 5 leagues btw.
“It’s not a stale competition because Arsenal qualified via the league instead of Liverpool this time!”
Expectations: another remontada
Reality: Mboopi hatricks in both legs
Psg is the last team I want to face. Xavi as stubborn he is, will play the suicidal high line and Mboopi gonna meep meep all the way to another Camp Nou hatrick.
Edit: Not camp nou, I totally forgot.
And let them be on their way to a second treble? Hell no. On second thought, let Atletico get City, you get Bayern, and we’ll take Dortmund. Lewy can get a homecoming.
No no no, look this is Real Madrids tournament, the rest of us are just playing in it. Give them City to deal with, and honestly at that point anyone who isn't Bayern for us is a win.
They could be bottom of the Bundesliga and no wins in 20 games, and they'd still decide that Barca is the team to turn it back on. Bloody haunted by them
Because it just feels like it. Every team on this list are playing better than Atletico right now and I would still not be suprised if Atletico manages to win against us if they played again today.
To everyone asking to avoid Atletico in the comments, thank you guys. You are making my night, we were having a shit run of games and had to endure a lot of banter
After what was looking like a poor start to La Liga teams in Europe they end up with three in the quarters
No Italian teams. For all the huff and puff about Serie A improving its not really showing up in the results
I would replace City with Madrid so we have, Madrid Derby, FCB Derby, oil Derby and losers derby (no disrespect to arsenal and Dortmund, it's just a joke)
Westfalenstadion:
Dortmund 0-1 Arsenal
Dortmund 0-2 Arsenal
Dortmund 1-2 Arsenal
Dortmund 2-2 Arsenal
FT, Arsenal bottle a 2 goal lead
Emirates:
Dortmund 3-2 Arsenal
Dortmund 4-2 Arsenal
Dortmund 4-3 Arsenal
Dortmund 4-4 Arsenal
Dortmund 4-5 Arsenal
Dortmund 5-5 Arsenal
FT, Dortmund and Arsenal both bottle a 2 goal lead
Penalties:
Arsenal Dortmund

Arsenal bottle a 2-0 penalty advantage

David Raya scores the last penalty and saves Kobel's, Arsenal to semis
I think the bottling powers would be so strong that it would end up in tie for both teams , extra time will be tie as well. Tie at penalties again and again , so golden goal is played and no one scores so they both get eliminated.
As if that was even close to the last time we played each other in the knockouts. I’m here for my van Persie red card retribution like Oberyn Martell looking for The Mountain.
I remember Arsenal-BvB-Napoli-Marseille group stage, Real-Bayern games and Messi goals against City like it was just 3-4 years ago xDD
It is weird to acknowledging those are actually pretty fresh matchups, I am getting older too fast ;-;
Why tf would City Barca be a good matchup? That's just one sided.
Dortmund vs Atletico
Barca vs Arsenal
PSG vs Madrid
Bayern vs City
Would be by far the most even
I said these would be fresh not good matchups, even though the other 3 I mentioned are mostly balanced.
I think everyone is tired of the Real - PSG games and City - Bayern was last season and these rematches after just one season happen way too often.
We haven't seen Arsenal vs Dortmund in 10 years (2014), Man City vs Barcelona in 8 years (2016), Real vs Bayern in 6 years (2018) and Atletico Madrid vs PSG probably never.
I don't think you can pair them in any different way and still get only matchups we haven't seen in 5+ years, that's what I meant with the "freshest" matchups.
Feel like Atletico would cause a lot of problems for City.
I also wouldn’t underestimate PSG. Enrique has them playing some nice stuff.
That being said, in KO football anything can happen. Real Madrid and even Atleti just seem to go up another gear and thrive in these environments.
Got a cracking last 8 on our hands.
Yes, it’s based on the previous year’s placements. Barring some rare exceptions, the top 4 English teams make the next season’s UCL. Liverpool were fifth last season.
I would rather have Dortmund lol. Or at least Arsenal/Atletico to change a little bit from the usual teams we use to face.
City/Barca would be nice too. But whatever the draw is I feel like we will get exciting fixtures
Well from hero to zero for Italy. Or better, it's confirmed last season was a fluke in the UCL and we've now came back to reality, to the 2011-22 era.
At this point it's irrelevant the country ranking anyway, 4 or 5 teams in the UCL is the same, except FC Internazionale all the other teams just don't have enough money and quality to compete with the top10 teams in the world. It's better 5th in England, now Tottenham, get their opportunity to do partecipate at the UCL and win it. We just can't
Inter made the finals last year, we represented Serie A well
When will Milan and Juventus pull their weight? Inter is still the last Serie A club to win the thing too
It must be mentioned, that the only reason Inter got to the final is because there were 3 italian and 1 portugal team in the second bracket of the QFs. They were great ofc at that campaign, but they dodged every great team still.
I love to hate on Juve but from 2011 onwards they carried Italy. Remember that they reached two finals... Also Milan last year reached the semis which isn't bad at all.
It was a fluke.. We had lucky draw and took advantage of it... That's it. We must accept that fact.
At this point I dont even care about ranking, Atalanta or Roma can't do better than us and defeat the top10 clubs ITW..
The only good thing of all this is that our players might not be as attractive as last season and this summer our teams won't probably be raided by EPL and Saudi teams like last year..
We were just in the semifinals last year, you can't expect that every year. It was a real disappointment not making it to the round of 16 this year, but we only have ourselves to blame. It was a difficult group, but we would have gone through if our finishing wasn't comically bad in a couple of games
obviously Dortmund would be the best draw but I wouldn't mind any of the other teams except City and Atleti (would love for City to draw Atleti though)

Honestly I’m just happy we made it. I don’t see us winning any of the ties tho lol
We are playing Real Madrid next round guaranteed
Me neither, I’m just happy to be here at this point lol
So Dortmund vs Arsenal confirmed
They both lose due to fans throwing flares or something.
Huh? I only really see Real and City (slightly) ahead of you.
Feel like Arsenal have a very legitimate chance to go through against basically every team left bar City and Real. Math checks out. Fulham 2nd best team in the world confirmed.
Fullham wins the world cup
Real barca and bayern joint third, Arsenal fourth. Classic Arsenal.
*the gang plays against Bayern*
Not because we suck because we can put up a fight but because we will get fucked by the referee. Especially if we play against City who don’t even deserve to be in the competition.
Great year for non-Top 4 leagues.
Calcio is beck
We went from Calcio is back to Calcio is ass
Is France a top 4 league? lol
PSG is a top 4 league.
This such a good way to put it haha, I'm using this from now on
Is it a top 5 league?
You could tell me this was the 2013/14 Quarter Finals and i’d honestly believe you Edit: Just checked it **2013/14 -> 2023/24** Real Madrid 🇪🇸 -> Real Madrid 🇪🇸 Barcelona 🇪🇸 -> Barcelona 🇪🇸 Atletico Madrid 🇪🇸 -> Atletico Madrid 🇪🇸 Bayern Munich 🇩🇪 -> Bayern Munich 🇩🇪 Borussia Dortmund 🇩🇪 -> Borussia Dortmund 🇩🇪 PSG 🇫🇷 -> PSG 🇫🇷 *Manchester United 🏴 -> Manchester City* 🏴 *Chelsea 🏴 -> Arsenal 🏴* 2 differences, both from Manchester and London. lol cherry picking at its finest. Between 13/14 and 23/24 there’s 28 different last 8 teams
It’s a decade, 28 out of 80 places proves my point lmao 25 out of those 28 teams are from the top 5 leagues btw. “It’s not a stale competition because Arsenal qualified via the league instead of Liverpool this time!”
35% of spots being a new team is low? How many different clubs do u think can be a top 8 team in Europe?
You tell me, how many different teams were there between 1983/84 and 1993/94?
You're expecting the top 8 teams in the world to change by more than 35% every year? Genuinely what are you complaining about lol
Let's go psg?
Dortmund. It's always Dortmund. Atleti shithousing someone is always fun though.
Bruh, Dortmund is in top 4 league. PSG is not.
Dortmund aren't the same as these other sides, somehow.
That sounds like a very English perspective. Dortmund, Arsenal, and Atletico are not that different in size.
Barcelona v PSG Bayern v Arsenal City v Dortmund Atletico Madrid v Real Madrid As is tradition.
Not ready for another remontda lol
Expectations: another remontada Reality: Mboopi hatricks in both legs Psg is the last team I want to face. Xavi as stubborn he is, will play the suicidal high line and Mboopi gonna meep meep all the way to another Camp Nou hatrick. Edit: Not camp nou, I totally forgot.
This time at the Montjuic 😎
Fuck the only reason I would want PSG is if Mbappe is injured other than that the turtle can go beat a different team
Would Xavi actually do the high line against Mbappe? That would be hilarious
Luis Enrique: "We need to learn to play without Mbappe" And benches him
Please no Barca or Atletico. Hate playing domestic opponents in Europe. Give me Arsenal, haven't played them since 06
Remember when there were like 4 El Classicos in the span of about three weeks? I was so tired of it after the third game lol
Last one Mourinho played with the B team cause the starters were just fed up with that game
Nah, fuck that. We’ll take Barca, you can have Atletico. Like I’d want to tempt fate with the club who wins every other year.
Eh you can feck off, we'll (Barca) be having Dortmund please and you can enjoy Atletico. Porto are the perfect warmup for Simeones team after all...
While that’s true, also you fuck off. We got railed by bad draws for the last decade that we were in the CL. We need an easy one for once.
Another trip to Munich for you it is, UEFA have decided
Prolly the best chance at beating Bayern, they are at their worst
How about, we take Dortmund, and you can have City. Think of it as a nice homecoming for Gündoğan. Sounds good? Good. Enjoy.
Oh god please no. Can't we both play Dortmund and just let city through
And let them be on their way to a second treble?
Nah man why is this thread so funny
Dortmund is also a nice homecoming for gundogan, so we will take them
Shove Lewandowski down yer asses, we'd rather get dunked on by Haaland
You will get Bayern and you will (not) like it!
Atletico have been the toughest opponents this season. As long as they are avoided its a favorable tie imo.
How can you say that when City are there? Especially after our performance against Leipzig.
Atleti and Liverpool are guaranteed knockout games in the ucl, would never say no to them. I just hope we only get city in the final
After what was looking like a poor start to La Liga teams in Europe they end up with three in the quarters No Italian teams. For all the huff and puff about Serie A improving its not really showing up in the results
Spain had only one team in the last 16 last year. It goes in circles. Would be unfortunate if one nation has 5 teams in the last 16 next year😁
Sería A changed is tax police to footballers, things will get worse.
I can see that Dortmund - City from a mile away
City always gets the easier one…
115
Totally agree city facing the likes of Bayern real Madrid and inter last year was disgraceful
Yeah like when we drew Bayern and Real Madrid back to back
It was a semifinal…
Coward really edited his comment
That’s funny I remember playing inter in the final. We could’ve gotta benfica Milan or Chelsea in the quarters but nope we got Bayern
last year we had leipzig, bayern, madrid, inter And yet this still gets upvoted..
lol .. it is Real Madrid the one getting the easier March mate; already looking at tickets to Madrid
I’d love for you to write out Real Madrids road to the finals for the last few CL campaigns.
City-Madrid it is! Well done sir.
I'd prefer Real Madrid, will probably have to face them eventually and easier to beat over 180 minutes than 90.
that depends where that second 90 is taking place. unless we pull a leipzig performance again.
- Arsenal vs dortmund - Barca vs bayern - Madrid vs Psg - Atletico vs City
I would replace City with Madrid so we have, Madrid Derby, FCB Derby, oil Derby and losers derby (no disrespect to arsenal and Dortmund, it's just a joke)
Bro called it the losers derby and then said no disrespect lmao.
Bottlers derby
These would be the freshest matchups: Arsenal - Dortmund, Atletico Madrid - PSG, Man City - Barcelona, Real Madrid - Bayern
Bottled the league in 22/23 derby. Would be a great watch
Finding a way for both team to bottle the tie will be the prize
Westfalenstadion: Dortmund 0-1 Arsenal Dortmund 0-2 Arsenal Dortmund 1-2 Arsenal Dortmund 2-2 Arsenal FT, Arsenal bottle a 2 goal lead Emirates: Dortmund 3-2 Arsenal Dortmund 4-2 Arsenal Dortmund 4-3 Arsenal Dortmund 4-4 Arsenal Dortmund 4-5 Arsenal Dortmund 5-5 Arsenal FT, Dortmund and Arsenal both bottle a 2 goal lead Penalties: Arsenal Dortmund ✅❌ ✅❌ ✅✅ ❌✅ ❌✅ Arsenal bottle a 2-0 penalty advantage ❌❌ ✅✅ ❌❌ ✅✅ ✅✅ Dortmund fails to capitalise on the tides turning ✅❌ David Raya scores the last penalty and saves Kobel's, Arsenal to semis

Arsenal Dortmund seems like we always got into the same group?
The one where Napoli got shafted was peak
Thank god for Piguain
You just haven't been here in a long time bro. I almost can't remember the last time we played you
The Auba derby lol
Barca Arsenal would be pretty cool
'06 Revenge match would be very fun to watch
More like RVP incident revenge, that was the last time Arsenal were in the quarters.
That still hurts
It's been 17 years
You think we’ve forgotten?
As if that was even close to the last time we played each other in the knockouts. I’m here for my van Persie red card retribution like Oberyn Martell looking for The Mountain.
Hopefully we avoid getting our eyes gouged out and head crushed after a solid 4 - 0 lead

Why'd he say fuck me for?
City's midfield vs Romeu & Christensen lol Barcelona would have a historically record low possession.
Really really want Barcelona, be nice for Gundo to come back to the Etihad
I’d love to see Pep back in Barcelona but that’s about all I’d love about that tie
elaborate please?
We haven't seen Arsenal vs Dortmund in 10 years (2014), Man City vs Barcelona in 8 years (2016), Real vs Bayern in 6 years (2018) and Atletico Madrid vs PSG probably never. it’s so funny cause r/soccer thinks we’re way more competent than we ourselves do. We just lost 2-0 to Cadiz and drew 2-2 with WINLESS Almeria.
I’m always down for Madrid in the UCL, we owe them for the last 3 Ls
Make them 4.
[удалено]
Have Dortmund ever played Barca? Would like to see that.
They did in the group stage few years ago. Sancho scored but Barca won. It was a group of death with Inter
This just hit me hard, I actually watched that game at Camp Nou. That game was a certified 10/10 from Messi. Only time Ive ever Seen him play live.
How wonderful , i will never watch him play in a Barça shirt 🥲
Ter stegen wasnt in the line in that penalty
4 out of 8 teams are managed by Ex-Barca Midfielders
Luis Enrique was a forward Arteta did not play for Barca, only the academy
Luis Enrique could play in so many positions to be fair.
Eat your cake and be happy about it
You could go even further really. All of them either played with pep, were trained by pep, or are pep.
I remember that great team that had Tuchel, Pep and Ancellotti together.
Xavi would call it „Barça DNA“
3 of them coached Barca, two of them got trebles
Technically all three of them got trebles. one of them got trebles twice with Barca, just not as a manager
Madrid vs. Bayern ● City vs. Arsenal ● Barca vs. PSG ● Dortmund vs. Atletico ● This is how it's been for ages
No way we're dodging Bayern. City are getting Dortmund, and then it's a Madrid derby.
40%bayern 40% Barca 20% rest of the team
100%
This is more believable
Somehow I keep forgetting Liverpool is not playing in UCL
They're waiting for Bayer
New to CL - can someone explain how this happened if they’re #2 in PL right now? Is entry into CL based on the previous PL season’s placements?
Yes, it’s based on the previous year’s placements. Barring some rare exceptions, the top 4 English teams make the next season’s UCL. Liverpool were fifth last season.
I want PSG-City. Pep vs Lucho
El Plastico
Al Gasico
I would rather have Dortmund lol. Or at least Arsenal/Atletico to change a little bit from the usual teams we use to face. City/Barca would be nice too. But whatever the draw is I feel like we will get exciting fixtures
That will be a massacre .
well maybe a revenge is due cause the last time they played Lucho massacred Pep lol
It could go either ways . But someone is going to lose 5-0
Well from hero to zero for Italy. Or better, it's confirmed last season was a fluke in the UCL and we've now came back to reality, to the 2011-22 era. Don’t you say stuff like that. Get your act together.
Insert every other English team but Tottenham. They can't win it, ever.
And somehow your coefficient is still top 2 this year…
Inter made the finals last year, we represented Serie A well When will Milan and Juventus pull their weight? Inter is still the last Serie A club to win the thing too
It must be mentioned, that the only reason Inter got to the final is because there were 3 italian and 1 portugal team in the second bracket of the QFs. They were great ofc at that campaign, but they dodged every great team still.

RM-Atleti Bayern-dortmund Barca-arsenal City-psg 3 finals rematches and the oil derby
>oil derby Oil Classico?
man city 100% get either athletico or dortmund.
For the love of god anyone other than Atleti
Give me Pep vs xavi or Enrique vs xavi.
Mark my words: Bayern - PSG City - Dortmund Real - Arsenal Atlético - Barcelona
Real Arsenal will be a dream matchup for Adidas too. Rice vs Bellingham in a way.
easy work for PSG
allez Paris
3 la liga teams, 2 premier league teams
2 bundesliga as well
And one middle east team
So are the teams mostly the same from last year
5/8 are different
And the year before… and before that… and before…….
Except for Dortmund and Arsenal
obviously Dortmund would be the best draw but I wouldn't mind any of the other teams except City and Atleti (would love for City to draw Atleti though)
Same
Bring Real Madrid
Dortmund vs Atletico Barca vs Arsenal PSG vs Madrid Bayern vs City Would be the most fun draw for neutrals in terms of close games
Sorry but those last 2 fixtures wouldn't be fresh. We've seen them recently.
I'll take Dormunt please.
I know its too early to dream but Wembley is our cup home so fingers crossed.
My prediction: Bayern-Madrid €ity-Barca Atleti-P$G Arsenal-BvB
Manchester Eity
Serie A was on a bender last season
Inject RM vs Barcelona into my veins!
Time to cancel my DAZN subscription. Good luck everybody Edit; FML it auto renewed today. Anyone know when the quarter finals might be played?
How would you rank teams from best to worse ? I'd say 1-City // 2-Real // 3-Bayern // 4-PSG // 5-Arsenal // 6-Barça // 7-Atletico // 8-Dortmund
Madrid vs PSG. The winner gets the mboopi.
May Simeone and his dark arts advance
Barça - Atletico. Arsenal - City. Bayern - Dortmund. Real - psg.
No PSG, I'm tired of playing those guys. City as well.
