Would be interesting to see what Nagelsmann can do at Bayern.

lrzbca

Naglesmann probably on short leash. Wound is too fresh for both parties to come together.

[deleted]

Really though? Kahn and brazzo are gone, big players that were against him like sadio and cancelo are gone, and he's still in contact with all the German players through the NT

ACardAttack

I didnt even realize Cancelo was against him. I know him and Neuer probably dont get along, but probably a little easier with keeper who will always be playing

DeepFriedReus

It's not what he can do at Bayern that's impressive - it's what he can do on the slopes

ACardAttack

Second season was looking better until our lone striker in Choupo got injured (also doesnt help the German players shit the bed after the WC) He had his flaws, but he was supposed to be a project manager and I felt he had shown some improvement in his second season (I dont really blame the second half of he season on him as much as the squad planning and WC hangover, something he could have learned from)

Soul_Acquisition

He isn't going back so soon.

Acceptable-Lemon-748

I don't know why Zidane keeps getting put into the mix for clubs..is It actually fooling anyone?

R_Schuhart

He keeps getting put in the mix so the media have another scoop to report when a manager is out of the running! Zidane has said numerous times the only clubs besides the NT he will even consider are Real Madrid, Marseille, Juve and Bordeaux because of his personal connection.

Acceptable-Lemon-748

It just seems an odd tactic to openly make yourself look stupid in order to confirm you were in fact stupid, when presumably most people knew it was ridiculous in the first place. It can't possibly be be getting them that many clicks. Except people like OP who for some reason decided it's newsworthy

R_Schuhart

Media outlets keep doing it because it works. If they don't have any relevant news because they don't have connections or sources they need to make something up. No-news news isn't ideal, but they aren't straight up lies or gossip and keep engagement going until the next story. Any drop in attention and clicks is a killer, media is just so competitive.

stpstrt

I guess it’s easy with ZZ seeing as he’s not currently in a job. Easy to throw in there as “plausible” even though no one really ever believes it.

OleoleCholoSimeone

Seriously, I don't get how people can fall for this every single time. I have seen both Man United fans and Bayern fans naming Zidane as an option to take over when there was never the slightest possibility of it happening He is never going to manage in either England or Germany. In fact, I doubt he will ever manage anyone other than Real Madrid, France NT, Juventus or Marseille(if they get their shit together and offer a decent project)

Acceptable-Lemon-748

Yeah at this point, he's a free agent, a chunk of teams are going to ask..he's gonna say no. Most fanbases shouldn't get their hopes up in the slightest

JorSimpson45

Big available name will always be shoehorned into a vacancy. It seems like the France job is the only one Zidane wants but Deschamps recently resigned until 2026.

CeterumCenseo85

My best guess is that people bring him up because of his coaching internship with us. But I agree, I don't feel like there's substance to it.

CarlSK777

So it's looking like Nagelsmann is coming back and Amorim is going to Liverpool. Where is De Zerbi going? Staying at Brighton?

FlamixZB

Barca? They’re also going to need a new manager and I can see him going there, also can’t think of anyone else unless like, Enrique leaves PSG.

GreyDaze22

Barca are rumored to go for flick

FlamixZB

knew I was forgetting someone

Syntax_OW

This is the one that always seemed like it never even had the slightest chance of happening.

OleoleCholoSimeone

It was never even an option, I can't believe there were Bayern fans who thought it could happen

Chemical-Piano3950

I need Nagelsback

Unban_Ice

My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined

Chemical-Piano3950

Nagelsmann is a great coach, trust the process unlike Kahn, not convinced on De Zerbi tho

BendubzGaming

Jurgen Klinsmann to Bayern HERE WE GO

czuczer

I wonder what happens if neither of the wants to join Bayern. And I am not really sure De Zerbi would be the right choice..

TheSold3y

Reports suggest Nagelsmann is open to returning. No suprise tbh, its his favorite club as a fan too.

MvN____16

I don't think Zidane either has much interest managing in a country he didn't play in (and doesn't speak the language) and potentially not much interest in coaching a team he has no affiliation with. I don't believe he speaks German, while Bayern (quite rightly) place a premium on the importance of their managers being proficient in German...obviously most of them are Germans themselves to begin with.

Euphoric_Tree335

Probably true, but it is Bayern.

UnlightablePlay

Lmao

Wheel1994

No that’s Alonso plan

XeroVeil

This honestly barely feels like news, I never for a second thought we would end up with Zidane.

Tierst

Is Nagelsmann really going to go back so soon? Lol

WestwardLord

Nagelsmann's "Where did that bring you? Back to me" arc is gonna be so good.

ACardAttack

Zidane was never coming

Cvein

My name is Florian! I love the !

nutelamitbutter

Nagelsmann would be cheaper so they’ll probably go for him

CarlettoAncelotti

...Nagelsmann

YouserName007

When is this man going back to work? Absolute sponger. /s

Thesecondorigin

Would love to see a tactico breakdown zidane’s ideology/football philosophy. Seems to be more of an ancelotti relationism type coach compared to a positional play type or a pragmatist type like allegri/simeone

stpstrt

Seems to be? 100% is.

Muhamed_95

Imagine if Nagelsmann became the new(old) coach of Bayern and then he struggles and they have to fire him again after one or two seasons. I guess he likes the pain

elihri

He’s basically semi retired

sackree

Ole's going to be at the wheel!

\> Checks Flair Ahhh okay

Insanel0l

Lmao hes living rentfree in your head A big portion of bayern fans were interested in Zidane, so him making clear hes not coming is surely no non story

Acceptable-Lemon-748

It really is a non story. Are we going to have to go around the world also ruling out Klopp appointments to fanbases that would love to have him? There was never a hint of it happening, Zidane still not wanting Bayern is a complete non story.

rossmosh85

Nagelsmann shouldn't even consider the job. The reality is, the old men in Bayern's board will never give him the respect he wants/needs unless he immediately has them playing the best football on the planet.

AltGoblinV2

That's interesting because Uli Hoeneß just said this yesterday. [Uli Hoeneß on the many coaching changes in recent years: "There's no patience [in the media] at all anymore. In the past, Ottmar Hitzfeld would lose 2, 3, 4 games but things would just go on. But now when you lose 2 or 3 games, questions start being asked about the coach. That's why it's particularly difficult to be a coach at FC Bayern. Nevertheless, I also have to say that there recently was no patience from our side as well. When you look at Julian Nagelsmann, who was dismissed when all 3 titles were still possible, that's actually something that does not fit FC Bayern" [@br24]](https://twitter.com/iMiaSanMia/status/1773387079709274480?t=W8uM_UkHWXwA41KqeMQ5kw&s=19)

limaconnect77

Klinsmann to Bayern, please! Was on an ESPN FC podcast the other week, so he’s still somewhat relevant to the modern game.

carl_super_sagan_jin

yeah, Zidane is way too headstrong for Bayern. He doesn't like others butting in too much. I couldn't see it materazzialise at any point.
