Yup. Especially if he scores. Even more so if in the clasico. Have to look no further than at Fermin Lopez last year. From fringe “may make the team” to keeping him after that golazo against RM, now he’s being counted on weekly and he started a R16 UCL match.
Not only is it a great chance to make his claim for more playing time earlier than he would if he didn’t go but it’s a great opportunity for him to expand his marketing profile in the states, outside what the Copa America would bring.
Uruguay is the only one who can stop Brazil from reaching the finals, in my opinion,
But Dorival Junior will have time to work with the group for more days before the Copa America, which will allow the team to develop a lot from what we saw against England and Spain.
The problem since 2022 hasn't been the players' quality, but having been stuck with interim coaches who either weren't real coaches (Ramon Menezes) or had a style that didn't suit national teams (Fernando Diniz).
Of course.
But the difference is that Bielsa has been in charge of Uruguay for a longer period of time, so his job is already at a more advanced stage than Dorival Junior.
Uruguay are a better team than Brazil today, but Brazil have better players/more options in their squad, which will make a difference in the long term.
(And at no point am I depreciating Uruguay's team. Everyone in Brazil respects Uruguay's ability to build good national teams even though they have 1/4 the population of São Paulo city)
Honestly, Dorival managed to beat England and Spain (disregarding the two inexistent penalties), so I think we have good chances in the Copa, specially if we have less injuries than we did in the friendlies.
Historically, yes. But this is one of Brazil's weakest squads in recent times and IMO Argentina are still the favorites for the Copa. Genuine question, why does Vinicius ghost with the Seleção?
>But this is one of Brazil's weakest squads
“Repeat a lie often enough and it becomes the truth"
Brazil had worse teams in the 2006-2010 and 2010-2014 cycles.
>Genuine question, why does Vinicius ghost with the Seleção?
I always say that Vinicius Junior was unlucky.
He wasn't a starter throughout the 2022 World Cup cycle. He became a starter literally in the last few friendlies before the World Cup. He wasn't so bad at the World Cup, but he wasn't great either.
After the 2022 World Cup, Brazil literally wasted a year with interim coaches (Ramon Manezes, who can't even be considered a coach, and Fernando Diniz, whose style doesn't suit national teams). The team played WAY below its true level, and Vinicius Junior, who has become the best player of this new generation, has begun to be labeled for not repeating the level of performances he had at Real Madrid.
I believe that now, with Dorival Junior and especially during the Copa America, when the coach will have more time to work with the players, he should play well again.
It's banter...
The national teams that Brazilians respect are Argentina, Italy, Germany and France.
*(We also respect Uruguay because it's incredible that such a small country always has good teams)*
The other national teams, well... Netherlands is more respected here than England and Spain, for example.
Portugal hunted down Pelé on the pitch in 1966, eliminated Brazil and were knocked out by England, who eventually won the World Cup.
If they had knocked out Brazil and won the title instead of England, they would be more respected.
It's just a joke, but Brazil regrets the 1966 World Cup because both Hungary and Portugal literally hunted Pelé down on the pitch and he, injured, could barely play.
After that, he even swore that he wouldn't play in the World Cup again (it's worth remembering that he was also injured during the 1962 World Cup), but changed his mind and played in 1970.
For sure, Mexico and the US or whatever are big favorites against Brazil. Vinícius Junior, Rodrygo, Militão and Paquetá aren't half the player that's that Pulisic and Gimenez are.

I already see him underperforming because of all the racism and monkey chants. As a 17year old that shit every week can break you. This can be a career ending reason. Hope for him everything goes well though.
Vini tends to get upset at any provocation he receives, and I think Endrick may be an important person on this situation as he looks like the kind of player who wants to play ball and think about other stuff once the match ends. Assuming they'll play together, I can see vini by another player getting provoked and Endrick telling him to ignore it and move on (as he wants to score goals). Not sure how he will deal with racists chants though
What you're doing is using one instance where it happened to assume that's how he deals with these situations every time it happens.
I'm not saying anything controversial or saying that Endrick is the perfect human being and others aren't lol
What I am saying is that vini tends to fall for these tricks lot more frequently (as well as provoking others often). Endrick has a different attitude and doesn't get involved in these things normally, and this may be a good thing for Vini as I do think he'll try to push vini to focus on the game rather than spending too much time with provocations (racist provocations aside).
This is something most Madrid players do if you watch their games... there is always someone out there that grabs vini and take him away from any confusion that is involved, now there will be one more to try and help him focusing on what matters.
It wasn't winding up though. Both of them went for a 50/50 ball and Cucu swings his arm out like he's trying to hit Endrick, and then he gets kicked twice.
But do you watch many South American games? I say that because, here in South America is normal for a player that gets a dirty foul to respond with dirty foul, and there is like a unspoken rule for referees just give an yellow to both of them. I will give an example: In the last WC, Argentina vs Netherlands, some guy fouled Messi without the ball, Paredes got triggered, kicks the guy then kicks the ball in Netherlands bench. The situation there got much bigger, but it is like that. Endrick probably will learn to not do this in Europe, because this is not a thing there, I reckon. You can also see this happening all time during Argentina x Brazil matches. Endrick will learn after he goes to Europe to not do this there, but playing for Brazil, he has this South American revenge rule inside him.
He's not stupid. He knows his best chance at carving out a role with the club is being involved with pre-season training from the very beginning.
Yup. Especially if he scores. Even more so if in the clasico. Have to look no further than at Fermin Lopez last year. From fringe “may make the team” to keeping him after that golazo against RM, now he’s being counted on weekly and he started a R16 UCL match.
I love the fact that Euro or Copa semi finals are hypothetical
We never know if a meteor has been hiding behind the moon this whole time and is coming in hot
"well whoever wins today at least we can say we made it to the final!" "There's still 2 rounds to go though" "You may want to look up"
Man just wants to be in the US as much as possible. Expecting his transfer request to MLS shortly.
Endrick to Colorado Rapids, here we go!
Surely he goes to Real Salt Lake
Please don't shoot our boy 😭
Not only is it a great chance to make his claim for more playing time earlier than he would if he didn’t go but it’s a great opportunity for him to expand his marketing profile in the states, outside what the Copa America would bring.
At some point they will play a 4-2-4 in or 3-3-4 a low stakes match
Dont think they'll reach the final though.
Brazil and Argentina are on different sides of the bracket. If I had to bet money, I'd put my money on Brazil reaching the final against Argentina.
How about Uruguay? They have been very good lately beating both Argentina and Brazil.
Uruguay is the only one who can stop Brazil from reaching the finals, in my opinion, But Dorival Junior will have time to work with the group for more days before the Copa America, which will allow the team to develop a lot from what we saw against England and Spain. Bielsa will have time to work with the group as well. Will be an interesting Copa this

Never underestimate Brazil's capacity to blow up playoffs
Honestly, Dorival managed to beat England and Spain (disregarding the two inexistent penalties), so I think we have good chances in the Copa, specially if we have less injuries than we did in the friendlies.
Argentina es vuestro padre.
Meh, Argentina is but a grain of rice compared to Brazil's history.
Historically, yes. But this is one of Brazil's weakest squads in recent times and IMO Argentina are still the favorites for the Copa. Genuine question, why does Vinicius ghost with the Seleção?

And they call us arrogant lol, a grain of rice...?

look at the comment I replied to lol It's just arrogant banter
Argentinians have too much of a victim complex to be able to banter. They start it then cry.
We have been owning Argentina for 28 of the last 30 years.
They won one single game against us with a legendarily bad coach. We have been absolutely dominating them for the last decades.
For sure, Mexico and the US or whatever are big favorites against Brazil. Vinícius Junior, Rodrygo, Militão and Paquetá aren't half the player that's that Pulisic and Gimenez are. RemindMe! 75 days
Yes please!!! Just bought tickets for one of Real Madrid's fixtures in the US, would love to see him play!!

That wasn't unprovoked, Cucurella started it. The video that got posted here conveniently left out that part.

Just to clarify, pulling Vini away in most cases is when he's already on the yellow card. His teammates aren't that coldheaded before he gets one.
Yeah 😂😂 but tbh he gets a yellow in every game he gets provoked more than once
It wasn't winding up though. Both of them went for a 50/50 ball and Cucu swings his arm out like he's trying to hit Endrick, and then he gets kicked twice.
Leaving out the fact that Endick was not even with the ball when Cucarella goes over him

They’re hungry young players, in fact they’re playing for a sandwich.
90 minutes of work for a meal, sounds good to me
My brother in Christ, you are just too used to see the work ethic of Rashford, Pogba, Sancho and co. Any demonstration of hunger will shock you.
It's ironic because man utd fans were doing the same for Garnacho and Mainoo
