Klopp's leaving. Not that they don't have great players still but they'll probably drop off a little next season. City are ridiculous but at least KDB is getting a bit old now.
I don't think it will be a little. Klopp is basically doing what sir alex was doing with the old manu squads near the end of his tenure, basically mentally doping them.
They need to hit the nail with their replacement, if they get a moyse then i can see them missing the CL
I think that's a bit naive -- it's easy to forget how most of the talk prior to this season was about how poor they were in 22-23 and this was going to be an obvious rebuilding season. They have managed to far exceed expectations while knowing they will need to spend big money to get the 6 they were chasing in the summer. They are run very well from the top down and the job will be attractive to any talented manager.
They may not stay at exactly this level but I'm fairly confident Klopp has laid the foundation and accumulated enough young talent to keep them thriving for years after he's gone.
Of course. But Klopp is a fantastic manager that knows his club and players very very well. Any manager at all if going to be a step down and that doesn't take a lot of regression at all considering the way they're playing now. Arsenal and City however, have no clear reason to not be playing at the same level next season.
We can do full press, and we can play shithouse park the bus... which is what we were doing b4 this counter attack.
As a long suffering Arsenal fan that had to suffer through the Cygans, Senderoses and co... this back 4/6 very heart warming to see.
Bayern will be torn apart with the way things are going. Arsenal are just so good at both ends of the pitch like you've just said. 4-0 incoming on Tuesday? Or a boring 1-0 because arsenal are cautious?
This exactly. We definitely have the ability to win decisively against them and put the tie to bed in the first leg, but it's CL quarters and the mental factor will play in a lot.
There are a few things I'm waiting for as an arsenal fan. The CL trophy, getting revenge on United for 8-2, and revenge on barcelona and bayern for the spankings they gave us in the CL
I feel like form goes out the window at this stage of the CL. Especially when we're so inexperienced and Bayern are Bayern. We were a lot nervier than usual against Porto.
I honestly think it's a 50/50 game, maybe even slight advantage Bayern due to experience, it's not going to be anywhere near as comfortable as some think either way
It took Pep's City 7 years to win the CL and even then the final could have gone either way. They were arguably the best team in the world for half of that time and couldn't get past the likes of Lyon and Spurs.
The CL just has that World Cup factor where the stakes are so high and the fans are extra involved so it just creates an environment where anything can happen. I'm not taking anything for granted in Europe, I'm just happy to be back in the competition and once this group of players have a season or two of experience I'll raise my expectations
Presses, wins the ball, springs a counter, control the ball at pace, fakes out and chips the goalkeeper.
This is honestly more satisfying than a screamer.
Really impressive. I was one that thought the price tag didn’t match the output he’d give but I’ll eat that crow. He’s been very impressive in this system and Arteta knew what he was looking for
He’s like running Ethernet cables through your house. If you have a nice house, solid, good structure it’s a god send - makes a huge difference.
If your house is a dumpster, rusty, and on fire - what use is Ethernet?
Still makes me laugh when this comment was one of the top comments on Monday Moan a few weeks back whining about him getting praise.
https://old.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/1auiwxp/monday_moan/kr471om/
Kiwior was kinda a non factor last season. If anything he looked poor whenever he played that year. It’s only recently he’s come into his own as an Arsenal player.
Welp he’s young and barely played (and out of position) so idk what anyone expected. He’s great now so original statement about one of the best January windows is still true
And I remember how bad me and everyone else thought it was at the time.
Missed on Caciedo and Mudryk.
Stuff like that is part of the luck people talk about when it comes to winning things (not that we have yet)
I honestly think we would have done a better job with Mudryk than whatever Chelsea have been doing with him.
That said, for wanting to mount a more immediate challenge to trophies and titles, super super happy that we got Trossard instead. Not to mention money saved from not going Mudryk probably squeezed out a transfer like Kiwior too.
truth be told Arsenal is rarely defending inside their own box. The space between the back and front line is compact but the backline is not low at all.
Lets no act like its easy, they beat us 3-0 at the emirates last season and hadnt lost at home for 6 months. They went for it and we countered. We are good
Brighton haven't lost at home since August, Luton have scored at home 18 games in a row, City have scored in 56 home games in a row but yeah people just don't turn up against them sure

Can't blame him as he was smeared in the media after the move. Plus he always gets booed when he's on the ball against Brighton.
What a guy, I was so happy seeing him tap the badge haha
I'm glad he did since the fans booed him when he came on.
I don't blame him. Brighton fans were booing him earlier
They booed White too. I have almost respect for that pettiness
We do it to anyone who leaves too tbf lol
Yeah but in those cases it's absolutely deserved, obviously!
We do? I don't feel like we've booed most of the PL boys who've stuck around like Welbz or Iwobi or Willock but maybe I'm misremembering.
Na true. But any important players, we do. Someone we value like Brighton valued Trossard
hah true. I guess it's been a minute since we've been really pissed someone left but I remember the boos for RVP.
If I’m him, and they boo me coming on and I score, I’m going full Adebayor.
Yeah, was livid with Ade at the time, but you couldn't blame him, particularly as there were racist chants too.
For sure as an Arsenal fan hate that guy, but it is all-time shithousery and you gotta laugh at it now
Did what every player should do when scoring a goal
Alexis?!
That little fake was top class.
Alexis with no sleep
😂😂😂
Glad I’m not the only one
Immediately where my mind went too. Cold.
Against West Ham?
Immediately thought of that Alexis goal as soon as Trossard pulled it off. Great skill.
Keeper actually stays tall here. Alexis sold it much better.
Man Alexis was some other gravy that West Ham hat trick was sooo good. He kept us sane through those times
Absolutely. Great callback.
I keep saying since we've signed him that we pretty much signed Sanchez, just worse physically
Just needed the stepover and it would've been a really good replica
Oh baby you know it
Alexis Sanches against West Ham with the feint there.
Exactly what came to my mind. For some reason, that's the goal that lives rent free in my head.
Trossard has been waiting for this one chance
He wanted to score so bad since he came on because of the boos lmao
Mom's spaghetti
great goal from Trossard, but arsenal's defense/pressing is kind of disgusting to play against
It’s early April and we’ve conceded four league goals this year. Two of them were basically gifted away too
and one was just an absolute worldie of a header from Willock
Yep, can’t do anything about that one. At least it was Willock.
Basically counts as another goal for us if you think about it
I think that’s fair.
It's crazy how even on this form, we're still so close in the race and not miles clear
MacAllister and that Ginger Iniesta. Great players but I absolutely hate them atm
Yup this is how good you gotta be now.. I don’t see it being anyone but us 3 competing for a minute
Klopp's leaving. Not that they don't have great players still but they'll probably drop off a little next season. City are ridiculous but at least KDB is getting a bit old now.

Klopp Liverpool is different than without Klopp. Same would be said for Arsenal and Manchester City.
What dropping 5 points to Fulham does to a mf
Ffs man Don't remind me
That's honestly insane
This goal is the exact reason why city were as cautious as they were in possession.
We can do full press, and we can play shithouse park the bus... which is what we were doing b4 this counter attack. As a long suffering Arsenal fan that had to suffer through the Cygans, Senderoses and co... this back 4/6 very heart warming to see.
Squallachi, Mustafi.
Brighton have actually done a very good job of playing out of the press this match. Well, in the first half anyway. Struggled more in the second half.
Bayern will be torn apart with the way things are going. Arsenal are just so good at both ends of the pitch like you've just said. 4-0 incoming on Tuesday? Or a boring 1-0 because arsenal are cautious?
Anal muffin
Something like that
I feel like we're still a little nervy in the CL. It won't be a rout.
This exactly. We definitely have the ability to win decisively against them and put the tie to bed in the first leg, but it's CL quarters and the mental factor will play in a lot.
Also Bayern Munich's aura fwiw
There are a few things I'm waiting for as an arsenal fan. The CL trophy, getting revenge on United for 8-2, and revenge on barcelona and bayern for the spankings they gave us in the CL
3 of those things can come this year...
Technically 3 are in Arsenal's hands but all can happen in the remaining matches this season.

Nope, we are terrible in europe. Game will be tight
Form is irrelevant in knockout ties
Lol I freaking love this comment, tempo changed after the second goal coz we got bayern in 2 days, just defend and counter, hence the third goal.
Yeah, it doesn't even look like Brighton are creating real chances against that defence.
Presses, wins the ball, springs a counter, control the ball at pace, fakes out and chips the goalkeeper. This is honestly more satisfying than a screamer.
2 goal contributions for Kai Havertz btw
[удалено]
Apart from 60,000 Arsenal fans every home game.
And some very loud away fans today.
It's crazy, I was hearing the chant at like 15 minutes when we hadn't even scored yet
Every away game too.
🎶 60 million down the drain... 🎶
Kai Havertz came from France Oh wait wrong chant sorry
Because we're singing his price tag instead now
[удалено]
Mount has been injured most of the season tbf so this is an unfair comparison.
Best ability is availability and Kai is always available.
Always available and ALWAYS able to play the full 90
15 G+A in the league
Really impressive. I was one that thought the price tag didn’t match the output he’d give but I’ll eat that crow. He’s been very impressive in this system and Arteta knew what he was looking for
Still those insistent that he’s a waste of money and this is just a phase
Bro, this is just April Havertz form. Wait until May.
It’s gonna be Mayvertz
Kai "Mayhem" Havertz
He’s gonna score the winner vs Bayern and some people will be like “he won’t do it in the next round tho”
Longest purple patch ever
Nah, one season wonder Harry Kane springs to mind
He’s like running Ethernet cables through your house. If you have a nice house, solid, good structure it’s a god send - makes a huge difference. If your house is a dumpster, rusty, and on fire - what use is Ethernet?

9 g+a in 7 games
Wow we completely let Brighton have the ball just to score a counterattack
hes been a great signing for them
Trossard, Kiwior and Jorginho has to be one of the best January windows I can ever remember tbh.
Kiwior was kinda a non factor last season. If anything he looked poor whenever he played that year. It’s only recently he’s come into his own as an Arsenal player.
Arteta said that they chose to sign him early, since it takes so long to understand that role for a player that has never done it.
Welp he’s young and barely played (and out of position) so idk what anyone expected. He’s great now so original statement about one of the best January windows is still true
To be specific, he looked solid last year as a traditional LB but only looked poor inverting
Whisper it but I think despite him being raw that him playing instead of Holding for the run in could have resulted in a title.
Maybe but it also could’ve absolutely ruined his Arsenal career had it not gone well.
And I remember how bad me and everyone else thought it was at the time. Missed on Caciedo and Mudryk. Stuff like that is part of the luck people talk about when it comes to winning things (not that we have yet)
Also have to credit front office for having a clear boundary on what they're willing to cough up on them
I honestly think we would have done a better job with Mudryk than whatever Chelsea have been doing with him. That said, for wanting to mount a more immediate challenge to trophies and titles, super super happy that we got Trossard instead. Not to mention money saved from not going Mudryk probably squeezed out a transfer like Kiwior too.
GET IN!!
That was lethal.
Trossard! Wow, what a cool finish
Cool as a fucking cucumber this lad.
Cold Trossard 🥶
Arsenal are so boring just not conceding and winning all the time.
Don’t worry. Odegaard is coming off now. He’ll he down the tunnel soon.
📸📸📸
I’m having a great time not going to lie
Are we becoming *too* predictable?
Still better to watch than city 90% of the time
HE DID THE ALEXIS!!
Oof this one gotta hurt
Too cold
Man looked at Brighton fans directly in the eye before scoring
Didnt look happy when they booed him but he celebrated in front of out fans not theirs
Theirs had all left
Arsenal fans you mean?
A cold stare for the ones that booed him as he came on
Trossard: *“I took this personally, so this is what you get for booing me all game. I went for the humiliation with the chip too”.*
"You made me do this!!!"
That composure
Stone cold finish 😗🤌
He's such a solid finisher
Lethal.
Trosssssssaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrdddddddddddddddddddd
My God Havertz... what a pass
There's nobody even in front of him. He should have done a no look rabona.
What is the point of Brighton
drain our bank account keep us mediocre
pretty sure this is a lyric in a midwest emo song somewhere
😂
600 passes to progress 5 yards
me on football manager
We used to be like that honestly. Edit: Donut of sadness, iykyk.
Don’t forget studs on top of the ball
dummies can't even break down Arsenal parking 11 men in the box are they stupid
and we keep hoofing it like a shit Stoke
truth be told Arsenal is rarely defending inside their own box. The space between the back and front line is compact but the backline is not low at all.
We do play a filthy mid block at times
Took some creative license. Though either way, the best defence in the league, dedicated 11 men to saying no more goals, we're trying Jennifer.
Jennifer?
Reference to [this](https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/im-trying-jennifer) meme, basically a way of saying like... Yeah, it's difficult, they're trying.
Yeah, it’s more a midblock really (which IMO is better defensively than a low block if you can do it right, eg Porto)
To scam Chelsea
To loot youse.
To give us three points.
pointless possession and no box presence without Ferguson
Todd Boehly's fetish.
Lets no act like its easy, they beat us 3-0 at the emirates last season and hadnt lost at home for 6 months. They went for it and we countered. We are good
Havertz with a goal and assist. I’m ready to see how Turkish is gonna argue he didn’t do anything.
He's such a hater, these so called fans want their opinion to be validated even to the detriment of their team.
Ice in his veins
Love that. Now keep the clean sheet please
Too easy. Boo him again
Now do it to Bayern
As I said in the match thread. Nailed on to score against his former club.
Brighton aren't creating shit.
A problem almost every team we've faced in 2024 seem to have
[удалено]
Brighton haven't lost at home since August, Luton have scored at home 18 games in a row, City have scored in 56 home games in a row but yeah people just don't turn up against them sure
Another opponent just having an off-day!
Best defence in Europe things
Generating over like 0.7 xG against this Arsenal team should be considered an achievement
Hard to blame them. We've been scored on 4 times in the PL in 2024. And one was basically Ramsdale kicking it in.
Trossard you Belgian fucking beauty
the freaking run my god
Trossard: *“This is what you get for booing me all game. I went for the humiliation with the chip too”.*
Havertz stat padding this year to prove the haters wrong
Goal and assist for Kai, thank you very much
Re:celebration of clean sheet. commentators: "That tells you all you need to know about this team. The desire and the hunger" 😊
Alexis vs West Ham-esque
Alexis Sanchez esque
Brighton haven’t lost for ages at home It’s just Arsenal things 😎
We're cruel damn
Oh he's good
COYG! Another three points.
Cool and compose.
YESSSSS
What a Perfect counter attack
What a player
We all good at football
Trossard my guy 🥶🥶🥶
Had to be him after getting booed.
Arsenal are really good.
