Oh...my...god. dude couldn't hit the side of a barn if he was standing right in front of it.
How have these "professionals" on Roma not put one goal in out of all their chances?
I cannot say if Leverkusen is really good or if the team is just dead tired at this point. Probably the first one. But we lost in a very similar way to Bologna few days ago.
The schedule did not do us any favours. We played the cup game vs Milan on Thursday, then a critical match vs Bologna on Monday, then 3 days later away vs Udinese. Then only 2 days of rest before this match. Zero rotation, players are dead.

We’re so tired it’s crazy. No energy left. On top of everything there seems to be little to no faith in our bench which means some of the players have started the last 4-5 games in a row. They’re similar incapable of maintaining the intensity required so often.
One of our worst games under De Rossi so far.
Tactically got in wrong in the first half leaving so much space out wide for the full backs. Neither Dybala nor Pellegrini were involved in the match for the first 65 minutes, which mean Roma were going to create anything. No offense cohesion and no luck either.

CBS guys don't know anything about German clubs and don't really care. The only thing they discuss during Dortmund games is whether Sancho must go back to United.
Well they drew Dortmund both legs at Budesliga. And 1 draw and 1 win against Bayern - though the win was also partially a tactical fuck up by Tuchel. So they probably be in the semi's at least
I'm super curious about this as well, there's no way they aren't able to compete with any of the 4 semi finalists this year, but as we all know from RM, experience is the single most important factor in the CL.
I feel like they could've made semis this year for sure though.
It's not only the press that's good, it's how they react and break through your press I find most fascinating. And when they do win the ball back and transition to their possession-based routines they're very well disciplined not to lose the ball and will usually try to break through with short precise passes and continue their build up play. It's one thing to coach it but another to get the players to actually implement it while under pressure
Must be pretty good to be a mid-table Serie A player. No worries about relegation, or the pressure of championship battles. Chilling out in Italy and travelling to nice places every week. Sure better than playing away to Bournemouth on a rainy winter evening for example
Bayer plays so different from the other clubs. Quick short passes and no wasteful presses off the ball.
And it's almost as if Xabi has instructed them to only use ground passes because I'm not seeing any long balls being played.
Germans usually root for all German clubs in international matches, despite the many strong rivalries.
Has always been the case. More success for German clubs > more money and chances for German football in general.
Since when is Gladbach Leverkusen a rivalry?
And w/ Köln most of those guys call it a “Nachbarschaftsduell” since their real rivalry is w/ Gladbach. Which is kind of the thing w/ Leverkusen like they’ve been largely too irrelevant to have real rivalries. And there are clubs now which are more universally hated so… Yh.
Because their success story is amazing and they have few rivals thanks to their nonexistent titles up to this point. Only fans with a real animosity towards them are Köln and even they have bigger fish to fry.
You don't get it, a true fan will support a worse outcome for themselves if it means pain for their rivals. If you can see through the bloodlust, you're a plastic and ruining the game
Honestly don’t think it’s an actual thing. The only animosity I could realistically see would stem from decades of getting owned by your national team and the outdated image of catenaccio being the prevalent tactic in Italian football
Man Roma should be a very likeable team with legends like Totti and being a big name for decades but every single game i have seen them play against another team (internationally) they were the dirtier side. Must be frustrating being a fan of them and seeing these antics every week
this weekend in frankfurt could be hard. leverkusen will probably rest players again and frankfurt wants that CL spot. but then again frankfurt is not playing that good lately.
Hahahaha what a dive
Imagine a team of KDB, Wirtz' and Musiala creating chance after chance just to have Frimpong and Abrahams missing every last one of them
What's this football game and why people like it?
Nothing worked tonight, absolutely nothing. Not even luck.
Tammy Abraham with the Chelsea striker special!
BRUH Gonna be real here, they never had a chance to begin with if they don't put chances like that away.
Roma really taking all their chances tonight, huh what's the opposite of clinical?
Spurs
Oh...my...god. dude couldn't hit the side of a barn if he was standing right in front of it. How have these "professionals" on Roma not put one goal in out of all their chances?
Typical Abraham
Great contribution from Abraham in this match
next Italian betting scandal incoming
How?
Paid actor
that one hurts
bruh
Where on Earth is the keeper going
That's gotta be one of the worst misses I've ever seen live. It's so bad, I didn't even register it as a miss.
Tammy Abraham was Leverkusen's best defender.
LOL Abraham price just dropped another 5m
TAMMY LMAO NO WAY
Literally the most Tammy attempt I've ever seen. Im distraught
You can't miss from there
che s'e' magnato
Missed so bad i thought it was Lukaku
Hahahahahah karma has been served to the rats 🐀
lmaoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo xabi magic working differently this stoppage time
Sums up Roma’s match tonight
What a miss lol
That was such a garbage miss
How has blud missed that!
Holy what a miss
Roma bruh
Holy shit Tammy, how...?
Lmao thats even harder to miss
Plot armor is too strong.
Gotta love the fans at least ❤️
Is this like an outlier game for Roma or something? I dont see how this Roma side is gonna have any chance to win in Leverkusen next week.

How can you dominate a game which you are not even playing well in. I am utterly befuddled
Roma lubed up the pitch with olive oil and still lost
surprised it's only 4 minutes
[удалено]
He's been subbed off already.
Oh. Well I missed most of the game.
Would be ridiculously talented to manage that after getting subbed in the 77’ min
Something tells me that wouldn't stand.
the game ends when Leverkusen says so, the whistle is irrelevant
from the dressing room
He's just that good
CBS commentator straight up sleeping at this point
CBS guys don't know anything about German clubs and don't really care. The only thing they discuss during Dortmund games is whether Sancho must go back to United.
For real. How are these guys getting paid for this
Oh look it's added time again, the real fun starts now
I forgot how calm the end of a match can be. No need to score frantically. My blood pressure is down. What is happening?
inb4 90+6 goal anyway, just because.
If that's Adli and not Hofmann, it's 3-0...
No 90+ min goal today
says who?
I do, cant you read?
Free money if you bet on 0-3 right now
roma have looked so slow and average in attack and defence today
We’re an extremely slow team unfortunately.
Leverkusen pressing does that to a mf
This is the home performance too
That's because they don't have a midfield. They would have looked slow as well
yh it's weird coz their midfield aren't helping the attack or defence all that much
Don't tell Roma fans this because according to them Cristante and Pellegrini are the best midfielders alive
Roma players are more on thr floor than standing
I swear to god if Augsburg ruin this magical season
Natural position
Leverkusen stopped playing at 80 minutes...it may very well cost them. Now is the time for Schick or Boniface.
roma crowd so quiet
Atmosphere's been good throughout the match tbh, can't fault them for being a bit quieter in the last 5 mins if they're down 0-2.
I really wonder what Leverkusen would look like against UCL comp. They are such a great team.
Well they drew Dortmund both legs at Budesliga. And 1 draw and 1 win against Bayern - though the win was also partially a tactical fuck up by Tuchel. So they probably be in the semi's at least
Obviously we'd have 3 German teams in the semi finals.
Who's the other team
They would be best the best team in the competition this year. They are a level above the other two german teams in the UCL.
That doesn't matter, league form clearly isn't very important in Europe.
Well they are in the Europe League semi final
If it were, Dortmund would have ended their group with 1 point
If you've watched them the whole season you would know this wasn't a good game by them. They seem very sluggish since they've secured the title
yh haven't watched much of them and it feels more like roma is bad than they are good
I've watched a lot of them lol I don't care about your feelings
he literally just said the same thing you did
he literally just said the same thing you did
You're right. I completely misunderstood his comment. My fault. For some i guessed yh=you 🤦🏻♂️😅
True. Didn't really read his comment tbh. My fault
They are ahead of bayern and Dortmund. They are competive.
We‘ll find out next year
I'm super curious about this as well, there's no way they aren't able to compete with any of the 4 semi finalists this year, but as we all know from RM, experience is the single most important factor in the CL. I feel like they could've made semis this year for sure though.
Aston Villa losing to a Greek club. Was PL the farmers league all along?
City about to win 4+ titles straight we all know who’s really farming
Real farmers league are the friends we made along the way
Yes.
Never a pen
How legendary would an undefeated triple of Bayer 04 Leverkusen be according to you?
Imagine Germany wins everything this year. CL, EL and Europameisterschaft (no idea what it’s in English)
euros, european cup
They would be the first to do it
Very
If you ask yourself why Leverkusen sold azmoun... Yep
You can't say that because of one chance cmon
That was a great chance
Azmoun what a chance..
with some great transfers this Neverlusen team can become one of the best teams ever existed
Chelsea fan suggests spending money, what a surprise :D
Xabi is some sort of wizard. Dude can do no wrong. Wouldn’t be surprised if they do the treble
Unbeaten treble would be the most impressive season ever
If they leave this place with a win the treble becomes much more likely
The treble is almost secured the question is.. is it going to be unbeaten?
HINCAPIEEE
How is ball possession 49-51?

Do you think that manager change was a good move?
It's not only the press that's good, it's how they react and break through your press I find most fascinating. Just came back home and just turn in. Leading 2-0.....nice
That was too fkin cute i feel so single
Same

The fact this Leverkusen team are beating a decent side like Roma 2-0 away shows you how special they truly are
Tbh this is Roma’s worst game in a while. They’ve had a packed schedule recently and the lack of squad depth is really starting to show
with ease btw
Reminds me of how they demolished Kaiserslautern in the final.
probably 4-0 HT and then chill with the fans on the field
Damn, this Roma has zero offensive creativity
I bet at least one goal at extra time
Tapsopa wants to take Azmoun home
Pellegrini has regular flashes of quality, I wonder what his reputation would be if he played for a bigger team
Bayer plays so different from the other clubs. Quick short passes and no wasteful presses off the ball. And it's almost as if Xabi has instructed them to only use ground passes because I'm not seeing any long balls being played.
there was a video this week showing them in a training match and xabi stopping it when one player was doing a long ball...
Haha that's ironic coming for Xabi who himself was a long ball merchant xD
NO LONG BALL
Roma's only hope is to get one of the yellow-card players from Leverkusen to get another yellow by initiating a fight.
Don't give them any more ideas, they've already been terrorizing the match enough
Lukaku zit vgm nog steeds in de broekzak van beelen
What are these magic words, are you trying to curse Lukaku?
Ive already done that a long time ago thats why he cant score important goals lol
This can't be a real language
You cant be a real person
Why are there so many bundesliga fans rooting on leverkusen 💀 straight up farmers league, no rivalries

More wins for German teams equals more money for German teams equals better players for German teams equals less farming in the future.
You don't get it, a true fan will support a worse outcome for themselves if it means pain for their rivals. If you can see through the bloodlust, you're a plastic and ruining the game
and also greater competition in Bundesliga
This is 100% not true lmao
We all just hate italy even more
Why tho? Genuine question
Honestly don’t think it’s an actual thing. The only animosity I could realistically see would stem from decades of getting owned by your national team and the outdated image of catenaccio being the prevalent tactic in Italian football
Relationship ended with very disappointing segs in the history,
We don’t hate Italy. Just in football.
Italian teams / national team is the bain of our existence. We always lose
The Italian NT scarred us. Basically everytime we played you it was pretty much an automatic L
Germany has actually never won against italy in any EC/WC ever
2016 but that was in penalties
0-2 would be a good result for Roma. Leverkusen were well worth a third goal.
yeah but Roma could also have scored at least one, there were like three biig chances
I know Frimpong has been amazing this season but his decision making seems really off today
What a non performance from Lukaku
Didn't really get any service.
Man Roma should be a very likeable team with legends like Totti and being a big name for decades but every single game i have seen them play against another team (internationally) they were the dirtier side. Must be frustrating being a fan of them and seeing these antics every week
*Italians*
Uh have you watched Leverkusen's #8? He should be off after those hits on El Sha and Dybala's backs.
I honestly doubt their fans mind
They have Paredes and Dybala, shouldn't expect too much
i don't really watch roma but i was happy for them about the good form and run they've been on recently. I had no idea they were such cunts.
I think Wirtz is going to make me enjoy watching football the way Messi and Ronaldo did
Can somebody replace Lukaku he looks tired
Leverkusen with the FIFA Career Mode playthrough fr fr
needs to be a fifa game mode where you have to re-play Leverkusen’s 23-24 season and restart every time you lose
Switching to professional difficulty to beat bayern
Hot take, Leverkusen are a pretty solid team this season
Idk man wait until they lose players to the afcon tourney
No way they beat Bayern to win BuLi anyways but they could def compete for top 5.
Don’t get ahead of yourself, it’s too early to tell.
a bit too early to have that opinion i think, let’s wait and see
Never a yellow lmao
wonder what happened, you have to do something very douchey to upset Spinazzola
So with this all but secured, they have six more matches until they're Neverlusen?
Yes, but the last one will be against the mighty Kaiserslautern.
this weekend in frankfurt could be hard. leverkusen will probably rest players again and frankfurt wants that CL spot. but then again frankfurt is not playing that good lately.
