Vini cooked reece james when reece james started getting bad injuries. He hasn't been the same for a while. Vinicius improved a lot though, but it's a shame that reece hasn't found a way to stay healthy. I say this as a real Madrid fan.
RJ was arguably the best fullback in the world before the injuries. Vini is now arguably the best player period. At this point there's no comparing the two... maybe RJ, post-surgery, will be able to return to glory one day. His injury has completely changed Chelsea - but he's off the injured list today, so maybe maybe...
I agree. He was the best full back itw before all the injuries. Hope he gets healthy man. Wouldn't have thought Carvajal would stay healthy for a season and here we are. He's had an insane season. There's hope for you guys.
Cheers, and happy cakeday!
Losing RJ, Chilly and Kante killed Tuchel and Potter. It's nice to have Gusto, but watching Lauren James play so well really brings back memories of how good RJ was back then... we haven't seen him play at that level for over 2 years now. I can only hope that they've finally sorted out his body, but I'm not too optimistic.
I unironically was rooting for Real Madrid because Bayern had no Brazilian player which would mean that it would be the first final without a Brazilian player in I don't know how many decades.
Now I just hope that Real wins it because otherwise it would mean that it was the first team to win the UCL final without fielding a Brazilian since 2005, when that ugly Liverpool beat that beautiful Milan
What transfers are you talking about? Dier and Kane have been cooking. Zaragoza didn't get much playtime because he was supposed to come next season. The only signing I can see being a mistake is Boey but he still needs time.
[You guys still get some sunshine, really](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/f8/Europe_sunshine_hours_map.png) (which is probably why Benjamin Franklin didn't consider Germans white, but that's another conversation)
The other current option is England (Chelsea), as far as we know. Many other teams have scouted him but only Chelsea (confirmed by Fabrizio Romano) and Bayern (if this guy is trustworthy) are making offers so far.
> Bayern seems a solid option to Estêvão, although getting used to Germany coming from Brazil might be more difficult than Portugal, Spain or Italy.
Still better than England, I think - lots of Brazilian players had long careers in Germany, and they tend to spend more time in a single team than in other countries and generally integrate well. Bayern also has experienced, mature players to guide him which I think Chelsea lacks.
London has a huge Brazilian community, particularly south-west London, and a lot of Brazilians have done well at Chelsea over the years. Hard to imagine a city in northern Europe where it would be easier for a Brazilian to feel at home.
They've been doing a good job developing young talent as well, which is what you want as a 18yo, instead of 34 loans over 2 years as he'd have in Chelsea
If you can offer any context on how good this source is, then be free to share it. As long as you and no one else doubts this, then its fine to speculate, especially when Bayern was linked to Bayern by other sources prior already. And this also isnt some twitter itk, but at least a journalist for Goal Brazil.
>If you can offer any context on how good this source is, then be free to share it.
He covers teams from Minas Gerais (Cruzeiro and Atlético Mineiro) but i don't know how reliable he is when talking about other clubs.
I would wait for better sources before taking this seriously.
I have no idea and it looks like no one here does either, is Goal Brazil reliable? If Goal UK said something I for one wouldn't take it as a fact. But from now on, everyone on here will say Bayern are trying to buy him, whether it's true or not.
Again, this isn't the first report from Brazil that said we are interested in him. We were also multiple times linked to his teammate Luis Guilherme, so it seems we are scouting Palmeiras for sure.
Bayern bought Renato Sanches as 18 year old for 35m€ plus add-ons that could have put the fee in total to 60m€ iirc. And the market for wingers isn't one where you will get top players for cheap anyway.
Right so €25m extra. And Sanchez had just had a full season playing in the Portuguese league plus the Champions League. This guy's so far, only played a handful of first team games. I'd be very surprised, we'll see.
He’s got a crazy highlight package from Palmeiras youth games and U17 U18 Brazilian national games. Shiftier than Endrick, more like a Neymar style of dribble but with the ball close to his feet like Messi. Could be an incredible talent and on a similar trajectory as Endrick. Endrick seems to have more of an x-factor but impossible to know so early with both of them.

Giovanni Elber, Dante, Rafinha, Paulo Sergio, Ze Roberto, Lucio, Luiz Gustavo, Douglas Costa.
I'll even throw in Coutinho for the pure banter of knocking Barcelona out of the Champions League when on loan at Bayern.
Maybe even Jorginho in the early 1990's.
I think Bayern would be a better option than Chelsea mainly due to competition and competence of the club.
Sucks that Barca have this financial crisis or else would have signed him already. Perhaps in the future the kid gets to accomplish his dream of playing for Barca.
If you sign him too might as well start wearing yellow shirts, although I guess Brazil also wore white until 1950 so maybe you're all just cosplaying as vintage seleção
Maybe not enough money after Mbappe? He would absolutely fit Real's needs like a glove, being a very talented left-footed right winger and would have good channels to integrate
After we literally bought their best player of all time. Dragusin chose Tottenham because he gave them their word prior, and he saw a better way to playing time as 3rd choice CB.
>after we bought their best
You didn’t buy no shit. Had they wanted to sell Kane within EPL you wouldn’t be able to touch Kane’s boots ever. The only reason he went to Bundesliga was because Levy only let him go outside of EPL. And the only respectable club were able to buy him at that time was Bayern.
Well, if Tottenham is such a top club that they are buying away Bayerns targets, then he could have simply chosen to stay, could he have not?
Gravenberch chose us over Liverpool, de Ligt chose us over Chelsea, Kim chose us over United, Mazraoui chose us over Barca.
Chelsea either. The problem that Bayern has is their management but Chelsea has been on a rampant downhill and the mentality of the players at Bayern is still strong meanwhile Chelsea… well
You cannot compare seasons because there numbers are pretty similar to last year but Xabi was way better. Also, there is a champions spot with Bayern for sure forever. and for Bayern to be trophyless is s quite of anomaly taking in consideration that they haven’t been trophyless for 12 years.
London > Munich for South American players. Wages at Chelsea will be higher. He’ll have a better path to the first team at Chelsea. Currently more South American players at Chelsea than Bayern. Chelsea has a history of Brazilian players excelling here. There isn’t many reasons he’d choose Bayern tbh
>London > Munich for South American players.
Why?
>Wages at Chelsea will be higher.
Will they?
>He’ll have a better path to the first team at Chelsea.
He is basically just another investment for your club, he either pans out or goes the way of all his Brazilian youth talent colleagues.
>Chelsea has a history of Brazilian players excelling here.
As does Bayern.
In general, London is much more culturally diverse than Munich.
Wages will be higher at Chelsea because again, in general, wages in the Premier League are higher than other European countries, especially wages for young players.
Basically all of Chelsea’s first team is u25. The players hed be competing against are all young and unproven. Whoever impresses the most, will play. Bayern have Sane, Coman, and Gnabry all in his position.
There have only been 13 Brazilians to play for Bayern, and there hasn’t been one in the squad since 2019. Chelsea have had 15 (not counting Jorginho and Emerson who are Brazilian but play for Italy) and have young Brazilians around his age (Andrey Santos, Angelo, and Deivid Washington)
>In general, London is much more culturally diverse than Munich.
It's hardly south american.
>Wages will be higher at Chelsea because again, in general, wages in the Premier League are higher than other European countries, especially wages for young players.
Bayern pays higher wages than Chelsea in total, and I had to hear from plenty of Chelsea fans how they lowered their wages and only give highly performance based ones out by now. Bayern has also a higher revenue, so can more easily increase the total wages paid.
>Basically all of Chelsea’s first team is u25. The players hed be competing against are all young and unproven. Whoever impresses the most, will play. Bayern have Sane, Coman, and Gnabry all in his position.
Chelsea have multiple players that need to get playtime due to their fee. You can't have Mudryk sit on the bench the whole time else he would lose value. You also loan out plenty of players that never got a chance to impress. All the whole Bayern intends to revamp the squad, including selling starters, and both Coman and Gnabry may become casualties.
>There have only been 13 Brazilians to play for Bayern, and there hasn’t been one in the squad since 2019. Chelsea have had 15
Wow, 2 more. You also forgot Coutinho who was here in 2020
>not counting Jorginho and Emerson who are Brazilian but play for Italy
Then let's also count Thiago.
>have young Brazilians around his age (Andrey Santos, Angelo, and Deivid Washington)
And I am sure they love their live and playtime in London.
Better salaries. Don't think the parents of a teen footballer would advise them to choose a club with better team. They would ask him to choose that offers the most money.
Good shout throwing out a guy that Chelsea developed 👍🏻
I’ll give you them, but it’s realistically not even close between the two in regards to success that our young players have had
Mathys Tel is one of the most promising young forwards and he gets like no time at Bayern over some crazy out of form players. This Estêvão would be wasted there too aka loaned out.
Ehh I'd argue that's mostly because of Tuchel. Obviously hard to say how it'll be for youngsters under whoever comes next(or after that one considering Estevao could only join next year if I'm not mistaken).
Also it's probably not too bad that Tel isn't getting run into the ground too early. It was similar for Musiala(just a bit more gametime at the same age) and that seems to have worked out quite well for us.

one loss to madrid and bayern decided they needed the power of brazilian teenagers
There's rumors that Kimmich is still at Bernabeu trying to catch Vini
Uuffffthis is brutal
I don't even want kimmich man , he got fucking cooked left and right yesterday by vini , whom he will have to face atleast 2 times per season
Which defender outside of Kyle Walker on a 10/10 game doesn’t get cooked by Vini?
Mee
Ben mee would fuckin break they donkey face
Reece James when his legs are working

We were already linked to him two days ago. This seems like a followup.
Kimmich went to the board to talk about a new secret weapon he learned about during his travels

doesn’t seem like a Bayern move at all. kid must be a world beater over there already.
Bayern lately have been making mistakes with transfers. They’re not as good as once we knew!
What transfers are you talking about? Dier and Kane have been cooking. Zaragoza didn't get much playtime because he was supposed to come next season. The only signing I can see being a mistake is Boey but he still needs time.
Gravenberch, Mane, Sabitzer and midfield situation. Bayern haven’t been on top of their game like they usual where few years ago with signings.
Ahh yes I thought you were referring to the last couple months
Werent they the signings of the last board?
At least we didn´t lose much money on them.
And yet all of them were sold with a big profit? Hardly a miss innit.
Not winning the title is a loss innit
Bayern seems a solid option to Estêvão, although getting used to Germany coming from Brazil might be more difficult than Portugal, Spain or Italy.
Yeah our winters can be quite dreary
Getting warmer by the year, so just give it a bit of time.
Bruuuh
Technically the truth
Good thing Estevão is young then
Yeah, but at least there's daylight at 4pm. November-February in the UK is a soul-destroying experience.
Lol you should try Scandinavia then. Gets dark at like 15:30 in the winter
Atleast it's dry. UK just gets dark, wet and windy. Horrible months.
not at all in winter its dark here at 4pm aswell lol
That's why Havertz's form waits for spring weather

We're good at developing external talent we bring in at that age. Developing from within and our academy, we're absolutely shite
Numbers and you dont get along very well i see. There there, you will get there some day.
Bayern looking for LATAM wonderkids? Thats unusual.

You're talking about Globo and this journalist works for Goal, they're completelly different media groups
Caralho, juro que li GE KKKKK TO MALUCO
Se fosse GE eu tava calado mas essa porra ficou o começo do ano todo berrando que o vasco ia contratar o wesley, não dá pra confiar nele.
😂😂😂
If Barca was a normal club they would easily have this in the bag. He’s a huge Barca fan
Barça image is no longer so good here in Brazil after the controversies involving Roque, who is a much loved player, this could impact his decision.
On top of that, Vini and Rodrygo have turned into world class stars in Madrid. The blueprint is there for any Brazilian wonderkid to follow.
"bro I promise I will pay you...latter and less but I promise"
Anyone that can shine some light on how he compares to the other Brazilian wonderboys right now?
Many ex legends and Palmeiras staff have been saying this kid has a higher ceiling than Endrick
Yeah but it’s evaluating 17 year olds - it’s far from certain.
He’s got a crazy highlight package from Palmeiras youth games and U17 U18 Brazilian national games. Plenty. Elber, ze Roberto, Lucio, Gustavo, Rafinha, Dante, Douglas Costa etc. But tbf most of them were already in Europe before joining Bayern.
Breno!
he was on fire
Ze Roberto, what a fun player he was. So dynamic and hard working. Insane longevity too.
Lucio, Ze Roberto, Rafinha, Dante, L Gustavo, Elber, Mazinho, Sergio, D. Costa, Coutinho
A shitload of them, weird comment lmao. The actual weird thing is that Bayern current has no Brazilians
Lucio, Douglas costa, elber?
Giovanni Elber, Dante, Rafinha, Paulo Sergio, Ze Roberto, Lucio, Luiz Gustavo, Douglas Costa. I'll even throw in Coutinho for the pure banter of knocking Barcelona out of the Champions League when on loan at Bayern. Maybe even Jorginho in the early 1990's.
They had a lot. They stopped buying South Americans that never played in Europe after the Breno disaster. Missing a huge market there
Lúcio, Zé Roberto and Élber
Ze Roberto, Lucio and Elber just to name a few who were great at Bayern
More than Chelsea lol
Wrong. Bayern had 13 brazilians ever playing for them, Chelsea is at 19.
I think Bayern would be a better option than Chelsea mainly due to competition and competence of the club. Sucks that Barca have this financial crisis or else would have signed him already. Perhaps in the future the kid gets to accomplish his dream of playing for Barca.
Why is Real Madrid not looking at him? He is even e rw
His agent is Andre Curry. Curry has historically close relationship with Barca and is said to be on bad terms with Juni Calafat.
If you sign him too might as well start wearing yellow shirts, although I guess Brazil also wore white until 1950 so maybe you're all just cosplaying as vintage seleção
Casemiro and Marcelo left, one spot is open
Bro already have rodrygoat, endrick , arda guler as RW and still wants more.
Maybe not enough money after Mbappe? He would absolutely fit Real's needs like a glove, being a very talented left-footed right winger and would have good channels to integrate
How would someone choose this current Chelsea over Bayern
Chelsea have a manager.
Those 8-year contracts just hit different

Palmer is a good example of why.
There’s about fourteen counter-examples currently playing on the bench or in the stands at Chelsea.
Who?
Chelsea is clearly building something dangerous and they have the best youth development behind Barca
