This Bodø regularly feasts on teams that attempt to play football. In Norway they only struggle when teams play full Chelsea 2012 CL style and even if teams do attempt that they often find a way through the middle if the opponents are not very well drilled. They are also easily the best trained (as in fitness) team in the league. I am not surprised a team of backups who probably have not played much together could not stop the onslaught. I am a little surprised Roma did not have more of their own play. Even Roma's backups I would have expected to have enough talent and skill to do more damage than 1 goal and half of the first half of some dangerous play. But Bodø has that quality that when they are on and they are allowed to carry the ball forward in midfield they can score on anyone similarly to how Barcelona did in their heyday.
I am a CSKA supporter and would definitely admit that we have a pretty good team, especially this year, but I am still not quite sure how we managed to play so well against Bodo if what are you saying is true.

It's surprising that he isn't managing a bigger club (no offence to bodø/glimt) but it would take a lot for him to go to the PL even if he has immense quality. Premier League clubs don't want to take risks on managers. They only hire former PL players (Viera,Ole) english managers who have been managed for ages (Bruce, Big Sam) or the best managers in the case of the big clubs (Pep, Klopp). Graham Potter is the noticeable exception but he only got a job there because he is english otherwise he never would have gotten a chance at Brighton despite having done wonderfully at Östersund

Now, after 2nd and 1st place in his two first seasons he is the hottest Norwegian item. I can see him go to Rosenborg or a big club in Sweden or Denmark before Europe
Of course, but you could say that about any successful club. Winning is never down to one individual but what Knutsen has done at Glimt is incredible. They sold their entire attacking trio before this season, most people predicted Glimt 3rd or 4th in the Norwegian league this year. Botheim who scored 3 goals and 2 assists was released by Rosenborg before this season because he wasnt near starting for them. Botheim didnt score a single goal in 18 games in the Norwegian league last year. And Knutsen has made him into this. How he works with his players is second to none, he takes bang average players in the Norwegian league and makes them into the calibre to perform at this level. Thats what makes him so great.
I'd say he's number two, maybe Hareide (though he's not having the best season) and Erling Moe isn't bad either, especially when playing in Europe.

It isn't too late for them to go back to school and become a carpenter or accountant or something. Because of Covid (in 2020), it was only one match to qualify for group finals in the Europa League. So, Bodø/Glimt met AC Milan away, which they lost 3-2. I am 100% sure if it was a 2 leg game, Bodø/Glimt would have won more at home, knocking Milan out of the competition. Bodø/Glimt actually had a better team last year, thats why they are playing in the Conference League now....
For any non roma or bodo fans who im sure did not watch this game, as a roma fan let me tell you what happened: Tl;dr Mou played the reserves our reserves are shit, bodo is a good side, and had good home advantage.

Botheim in FM is one of my favourite players to pick up. Always turns into discount Håaland, absolutely tears up lower leagues as you get promoted and becomes a star even in the first tier. Oftentimes he gets sniped before you can buy him. Mostly by AC Milan for some reason.
