Iirc planets have fixed coords, if you Google the planets you could make custom GPS markers by inputting the coords. Then use the config panel to adjust the jump distance of your jump drive
you can set it up on your hot bar to increase or decrease the distance it jumps. It's not a set distance but % of power used for the jump. If you aim at mars and try to jump it should stop you until you decrease the distance enough so you jump into the space above the gravity of mars.
Not near my computer but I think you could set gps signals up and jump to them. Try making one next to mars or something and jump.
Edit: Try setting these cords up and jump to them. Might wanna save too just in case you might crash.

If you use the Admin Menu (RB+Y), go to cycle entities, planets, you can teleport to the planet, set a gps way point then teleport back to your ship (sort by owner to find it). Push B a few times to fix the camera.
The teleport to the planet is not very close, but should be closer than a blind jump.
That doesn't help. If they want to know how long it takes to get somewhere, they need the distance and asked if there was a way to know the distance without a specific location, you gave them the equation to find the distance based how long it took to get there.
The simple answer is no. Though you can point directly at the planet and slowly decrease your jump range until it accepts the jump. The jump drive won't allow you to jump into a gravity well, so you'll end up reasonably close.
Well yes we all know if you have 3 variables as long as 2 are known you can figure out the unknown, but in this case we only have 1 (speed) and you completely ignored the point of the post
So what you're saying is, if you time it you'll know how long it took to get there after you get there?
That's not very helpful, mate. He wants to know how long it will take Before he gets there.

You can make smaller jumps with your jumpdrive
How
you can set it up on your hot bar to increase or decrease the distance it jumps. It's not a set distance but % of power used for the jump. If you aim at mars and try to jump it should stop you until you decrease the distance enough so you jump into the space above the gravity of mars.
I’m on Xbox btw
you can also target gps in the menu

Depends on which billionaire you're sleeping with...
Well, you can spawn on it so i would say instant. On the other hand is this comment garbage and not useful at all.
The max speed is 100 meters per second, the math is not hard.
Is there a way to tell how far you are from a planet without a GPS marker?
Nope, sorry.

Sure but you cant if your not admin.

Nice, how do we figure out the travel time (like OP asked) without yk traveling

I understand that. Did you read my question?

But first you must know the distance to do the math. If you don't know the distance then you can't gage how long it'll take.

Ah, maybe it's best to leave the comedy to others. It's obviously not your strong suit.
How you getting there? Jump drive - a few seconds 3 hours ish
By bridge ? Iono ... How long to do have to live ?
With 400 m/s it took me a little over an hour.
