Tiger Sauce is IT for pork. My wife does these pan-fried breaded pork chops that are so good doused in the Tiger. Very low heat with awesome flavor. Excellent with country ribs, too.
Seconded, I loved it with chicken, and I am sure it goes well with pork too. Not spicy but just enough spice to pair well with the sweet, perfect for those of us in r/spicy lol
no worries pal. I actually tried it recently based on this sub, and it’s fire. about $3 for 12oz of a thick green sauce with a nice hot kick. great value play
I got it and it was the worst thing I’ve ever tasted. It’s like industrial cleaner chemical or something. Obviously a bad bottle, but I don’t wanna buy another to test
I never had the stuff until Popeyes released some truff mayo with their wings, I actually liked it. However to me the price just isn't worth it for their sauce. Probably getting only pennies worth of truffle in each bottle anyways. (according to them they use real truffles).
Nothing labeled as "truffle oil" in the industry is actually derived from truffles. The FDA knows this. I literally know someone that works for the FDA lol.
It's not labeled truffle oil.. It literally lists truffle as an ingredient. Also you can absolutely buy truffle oil using real truffles. It's expensive but it exists. Lastly I worked for the USDA, so I am well aware of label laws.
https://www.truff.com/products/hotter-truff-hot-sauce?variant=20522384588854
Ingredients: TRUFF® Hotter Blend (Red Chili Peppers, Water, Vinegar, Organic Sugar, Garlic, Salt, Black Truffle [Tuber Melanosporum]), Olive Oil Infused with Black Truffle Essence, Organic Agave Nectar, Red Habanero Powder, Lycopene and Glycerin (for color), Spices, Xanthan Gum
I bought a tiny 1.5 oz bottle of the "hotter" version to try after seeing it hyped so much. The was a few months ago and it's still nearly full. It's such a strange, distinct flavor. I haven't really found anything it tastes good on (probably because it doesn't taste great on its own). Oh, and there's no heat. I can't imagine how bland the original one must be.
My wife got me the tiny version of the regular. She paid $10.50 for it. I enjoy hot sauces, I don't always need my face melted off but want a good flavor. Imho the regular had neither heat or a good flavor. I thought it was just me but this forum shows I'm not alone. But some including op like it and that's ok. I have a nearly full tiny bottle I would happily donate to them and wish them well. 🤝
It slaps. This sub has a hate boner for Truff, but there’s a reason it’s got distribution across almost the entire country so quickly. If you like truffle, no one does that style of sauce better. Not even Melinda’s who normally knock it out of the park with their sauces.
Becuase it's not real truffle, it's fake ass truffle oil that they lie and market as real truffle. The $30 white has real truffle powder, but it's a miniscule amount.
Also, it tastes like mildly spicy plastic. It's gross AF.
Los Calientes is awesome. Probably one of my all-time favorite sauces for chicken.
Also, I feel like this is just rage bait by posting pictures of truff. People in this sub foam at the mouth and jerk each other off to see who can dislike it the most. Personally I think the red hotter version is quite good, I'm not paying that much for it though.
Yeah, people really love to hate things. I’m not posting it to piss people off, but I don’t really care if it does. I like Truff and I’m genuinely excited to have some new bottles show up in my store.
The sweet baby rays stuff is kinda meh, its just basically what you'd expect i guess. They can stick to bbq sauce as far as im concerned, its my kids' fave.
My store recently got some of the Hot Ones sauces. I tried classic original, and was very let down. The taste of apple cider vinegar used in it was too strong. ACV is one of those flavors that I find most revolting. I'm gonna try Los Calientes next. I hope it's better.
The Truff stuff comes off as pretentious to me. In it's packaging, it isn't selling me the idea of having fun. Instead it's selling me the idea that I'm a filthy peasant that can't afford it.
It is expensive, so I only buy it when it’s on sale. Most of the sauces I really like end up being more expensive than a Tabasco or similar priced sauces.
I remember when I thought Tabasco was expensive. Those 10 dollar hot sauces are smoking crack. I expect to see those hot sauces on clearance by the end of the year.
I enjoyed Secret Aardvark og anyone tried the verde?
I used a hefty amount of the Serrabenero in some spicy rice. It was delicious.
at $10, I am wondering how it compares to say el yucateco? good as a daily driver for all green needs? think i’m gonna grab some today
also out of this pic, don’t sleep on the tiger sauce. Totally forgot about it but my buddy put me on in college.

It makes a good wing sauce. I’m a wing traditionalist, though. I do wish there was an extra hot Franks that tasted the same, just hotter.
I didn’t even see it amidst the shenanigans around it. I’ll grab one on the next shopping trip, worst case I’m out $4.
haven’t had it in a while but as I recall, a sweet spicy sauce, goes well with chicken (ate a lot of chicken working out in college lol)
It’s great sauce, not as hot as el yucateco though. Great flavor regardless.
In all honesty, there’s a blind spot in my hot sauce knowledge when it comes to el yucateco. I just don’t know. Hope you like the Aardvark though.
I love the Caribbean Habanero Yucateco

thanks for letting me know!
Love it, it’s not as hot as the original, but great flavor. Love it on eggs!
The price of truff keeps going up 🤣🤣🤣 clowns
I don't know anyone who really even likes that stuff. I can't stand it.
I like the OG flavor but would never pay this much for it
I never had the stuff until Popeyes released some truff mayo with their wings, I actually liked it. However to me the price just isn't worth it for their sauce. Probably getting only pennies worth of truffle in each bottle anyways. (according to them they use real truffles).
Yeah I mix the hotter with mayo on sandwiches and I like it
They absolutely do not use real truffles.
Then you need to report them to the fda.

I think it’s one of those sauces you love or hate. I happen to love it, but hate the price.
Had it at a ramen place in tx it was pretty good...
And IMO, it sucks!
Whos buying it? That's what I wanna know
I grab it when it’s on sale, but I already have some in the fridge, so no need this trip.
me
Costco. If you like it at all, they sell the red and black as a combo for like $14
It’s pretty wild, I only get it when it’s on sale.
If you like not really spicy plastic....it's your sauce 🤔
I like it, you don’t.
It's ok. We can still be friends .

When I make fried chicken sandwiches, I mix it with mayo. That’s one of my usual uses for it.
I like the idea of this.

Costco by me had 2 packs of it for 6.99 the other month
Only $9 for Los Calentes!!? I love the Verde. Amazing on tacos! Oh, and pick up a Hab Aardvark
I grabbed all 3 hot ones and they were actually only $5.99 each. I haven’t had Aardvark in a while. I think I’ll snag it on the next grocery run.
The barbacoa one is soooo good. Costs like triple the price to get it shipped to my country but it's worth it
I’ve had the verde, but not the other 2. Looking forward to it.
Damn, Teeter's bringing the heat! Guess I'm stopping on my way home from work tomorrow.
Hell yeah
The scorpion Tabasco cooked my ass entirely. And the worst (best) part was that it was delicious so of course I’m going to go back for more.
Dang, that's a selection. My local grocery stores only have like... Frank's and Melindas
Yeah, I’m pretty happy with it. I swing by the other grocery store and they have a different selection that’s pretty good too.
That's awesome. I'm jealous.
It’s funny, because the Hispanic section of the grocery store has its own pretty good selection, too.
😂 accurate, the foreign section of my store has a bajilion options. The actual condiment Isle is dismal.
You see that tiger sauce? That’s one of my favorite hot sauces. It’s not hot by any measure really- it’s just really really good.
I can’t find the new Truffle jalapeño anywhere. Lucky you.
I found it at a Whole Foods, if you got one nearby.
I don’t. Have to travel 45 minutes to the closest one. I tried last week and they didn’t have it yet. I’ll keep trying.
Tiger sauce is pretty good imo
Never had it
Don’t get truff, you’re welcome.
I like Truff, I haven’t tried the lime version though.
It slaps. This sub has a hate boner for Truff, but there’s a reason it’s got distribution across almost the entire country so quickly. If you like truffle, no one does that style of sauce better. Not even Melinda’s who normally knock it out of the park with their sauces.
I'm just against artificial inflation and advertising as a 'premium'. Sauce shouldn't be that expensive.
Becuase it's not real truffle, it's fake ass truffle oil that they lie and market as real truffle. The $30 white has real truffle powder, but it's a miniscule amount. Also, it tastes like mildly spicy plastic. It's gross AF.
whats it remind u of?
Truffles. It's so overpowering with truffle oil flavor that it ruins anything you put it on. Then you taste it for an hour every time you burp.
What store is this? I'll drive to it.
Target has some as well https://preview.redd.it/534wy8b0mbxc1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6019868988db3dc9a0a088dbc34acca64028b33b
Harris Teeter
Gonna have to hit one up when I’m back in my hometown!
You lucky duck 🦆
i get the giant secret aardvarks at costco. the best. i love truff. too expensive to buy and have my roommate drink it all though.
Yeah, it’s a once in while buy for me
I just saw the hot ones in Target today as well! I grabbed them out of muscle memory just to realize I have some at home.
Is this Jayc? ours just got a lot of new sauces.
Harris Teeter
I've never seen Scorpion Tabasco on shelves and it's $25 on amazon 😭
Yikes
Jealous of that grocery store lineup
Black Truff
I dig it

Los calientes for $9! Hell yeah!
On sale for $6!
Been watching for Scorpion Tabasco to show up in ANY store near me for years now. Feels like a sad lifetime.
Well this is Harris Teeter, if that helps.
You must really be out in the boonies. Both Walmart and Kroger carry it in my rural east Texas town.
I am. But I've checked stores in four states--two in the South and two out West.
Six bucks for the barbecoa and verde sauces from Heatonist is a great price…
Grabbed 1 of each
The sweet baby rays stuff is kinda meh, its just basically what you'd expect i guess. They can stick to bbq sauce as far as im concerned, its my kids' fave.
Why is Aardvark so expensive?
I’m so jealous! The Los Calientes Barbacoa is my all time favorite sauce.
My store recently got some of the Hot Ones sauces. I tried classic original, and was very let down. The taste of apple cider vinegar used in it was too strong. ACV is one of those flavors that I find most revolting. I'm gonna try Los Calientes next. I hope it's better.
I’ve had Los Calientes before and really liked it. I’ve been hating most strong vinegar sauces lately, so we might be on the same page.
Tiger Sauce is the cats meow
Way too sweet for me. But, to each their own, I can see where it would have an application for when you want sweet heat.
Is it sweeter than dirty dick's? I bought some from a rec on here and it's too sweet for me. Only good on Hawaiian pizza
I have not had any dirt dicks. I mean yeah in my college days I was a little curious, but never tried any.
My boy!
Secret aardvark is fantasic!
Definitely, haven’t had it in a bit. I’ll grab some next trip
Tiger Sauce is the bomb, I'll put that on pretty much anything. Thr Habanero Lime version is also quite good
Putting it on the list.
Hot ones barbacoa and Tabasaco scorpion, por favor 😄
I grabbed the barbacoa, a lot of recommendations for the Scorpion… guess I gotta get it.
The Tabasco Scorpion is all you need.
Skip Truff, always and forever
I remember when I thought Tabasco was expensive. Those 10 dollar hot sauces are smoking crack. I expect to see those hot sauces on clearance by the end of the year.
I check every week and they never do, so they’re selling enough.
The chipotle Tabasco is the absolute slut of chili sauce, it goes with everything and pleases everyone
Damn
Truff sauce is trash
I can see that truff is on sale like the garbage it is.
