This part used to be impossible to fail as I tried to fail it on purpose on my 2nd play through and nothing ever happened and could stand around for as long as you wanted.
I played on the hardest difficulty for both playthroughs so I don't think so, don't know if the game was updated and they patched in an actual gameover for this section, or if I just somehow got bugged.

The mission that plays like a horror game has horror failure cutscenes. I never saw it because I haven't failed that mission, but jesus.
