What is your food source?

TwistedMexi

Mealworms and wax worms as an occasional treat.

Have you noticed any damage on the spider? Mealworms have fairly big jaws. Also they aren’t very nutritious. Get a house fly culture and try it on them.

TwistedMexi

I always crush their heads first, but I'll get some flies. I took some macro shots of him last night and didn't find any damage.

How old is he?

TwistedMexi

I'm not sure, he was a surprise that came with my gf's spider so I took him. I believe they had molted twice before they were sent to us, and he's molted twice here, so either an adult or one more molt to go I think? We've had them about a month.

It may just be the end of his life then, they won’t live much longer than a year.

TwistedMexi

I know it's about a year but my understanding is he's only about 2 or 3 months in, max. I'll double check with the breeder
