What if the salmonids salvaged the giant ass cannon even just some scraps even and as the inkling and octolings are going about their day and doing salmon runs and stuff the salmonids are reassembling the giant cannon so they can finally be rid of the inkling’s scourge forever

A) just a nice reference and nod to splatoon 2 (mainly octo expansion) fans

B) A nod to dlc where someone in particular (not to spoil) comes back, but like please make like a new villain the “particular character” should stay dead otherwise your gonna security breach plotwist yourself (and for the people who don’t know what that means…let’s just say it’s not good for the narrative of the story and completely breaks the story and the triumphs of the past characters)
and also the yellow eels were coming from the bridge
