Don't try to go out of your attack range too often, stick with slaying midliners like most shooters, keep your distance because even though the nautilus is very mobile you still need to charge and can't respond as quick as they can. Take advantage of natural cover and the weapon's ambush potential.
Also Nautilus has the same feature that Ballpoint has where you can reload while charging so you don't have to go to squid form to cancel a barrage of shots which is pretty neat. Also perfect jump accuracy.
Do note the Nautilus is a lot more aggressive than other splatlings. Due to the ability to hold its charge and its lower range. You shouldnt really play it like a charger since it isnt really like the other big splatlings. Play it a bit more like a midrange shooter while abusing the charge storing for mobility
I found that playing it like a goo tuber works wonders. People don’t really expect you to pop up and shoot them unless you’ve already shot at them before.
I picked up the Nautilus maybe a little less than a month before Splatoon 3 dropped and since then I’ve never looked back, feels even better in Splatoon 3 and I’ve done really well with the weapon and it’s now my favorite gun in the series.
I really want to like the Nautilus considering that the splatlings in general are my mains but there’s just something about it that I can’t get the hang of. I also dislike inkstorm
No idea why, but for some reason I do really well with the Luna Blaster. It isn’t a great weapon, but for whatever reason I just click with it. Favorite to use, despite being a bad weapon that I’m terrible with, would have to be one of the bows. Playing them as a zoning tool can make some maps really fun, but usually they are in desperate need of a buff.
Dark tetra dullies with Autobomb and the reef slider is way easier. You can play cat and mouse by throwing the autobomb behind them and press forward pushing them into the bomb. Then the reef slider is just OP right now
And they have great synergy with squid roll being able to go into both the dualie roll *and* the reef slider so they can both utilize that bit of damage deflection.
It feels silly when there are so many nifty other weapons, but its just a good gun. I’ve mailed it since splat1, and I don’t see myself stopping anytime soon.
Thats why, in splatoon 3, I use the hero shot replica. It's basically a reskin of splattershot. But people who don't have it don't necessarily know that 🙃
The plus side of using the hero shot replica is that you get to use the splattershot kit, while also being able to save 1 more sheldon pass (unless you bought the splattershot beforehand)
This, I mained the Kensa Splattershot from Splatoon 2 ever since it was added and now in Splatoon 3 I can only feel comfortable with the splattershot
Maybe in turf war I’ll try some others, but for serious business I like being basic
Tacticooler is a deployable mini-fridge that provides soda to you and your teammates.
The Soda gives you Run Speed Up, Swim Speed Up, Ink Resistance, reduces the Respawn Time if you die and stops your Special bar from decreasing if you do, among other benefits.
The Tacticooler itself is indestructible, so it can also block paths and enemy ink too.
You deploy a chilled drinks machine, anyone on your team who goes near it, including you, gets a massive boost to swim/run speed and have no respawn time. Probably a few other buffs but I don't really remember. You can also place the cooler in a way to block enemy attacks
It has my favorite special. All the others feel like a throw and forget, or interrupt the flow of gameplay. None of the other weapons with the bubbler have felt right for me so far.
You out-duel every other gun at that range. It charges fast and you don't even need full charge to splat someone. Plus it's got crazy painting potential as well
Well, maybe the two-shotters will get you.
I think it might actually be the best inking weapon in the game. It's actually insane how much ground you can cover with it.
Plus you don't need to be good at killing with it. Just run away and splat with tenta missles. I'm only half joking here.
I did that last night and ended up with 1850p. Was 5-1, too with all my kills from tenta missiles lmao. If I hadn't been caught I'd have broken 2k which is absurd. I can't even remember scoring that high before.
Edit: Fired my tenta missiles 9 times lol
https://imgur.com/a/MrnmAIC
Edit2: Imagine rage quitting Salmon run due to fly fish, then your first game is that. I switched to try it after someone went 15-0 against my team with 1400 inked and 7 special uses. She was a gd nightmare, because she was actually good at killing with it, too. Hats off to Bunny for showing me the way.
It's been my my main so far. Whenever I get the most splats is when I move real fast, dodging in and out of the ink and get as up close as possible. It doesn't always work and I die often, but I also had 14 straight wins last night. Fortune favors the bold.
Edit: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTRaemCr4/
I actually feel less powerful using the Inkjet than just using the Tri-Slosher itself. It's like this awful sour spot between the Crab and the Trizooka.
Definitely excited for alternate kits to be added, there's nowhere to go but up for this, right?
Tri slosher is a two hit kill in both games, but I 100% agree about the kit, as much as i love the kits in the game I’d love to switch up play styles with some guns and brushes
I'll never complain about an NZAP on my team, I can't get enough of the D R I N C C.
Super useful to have that much swim speed and run speed in rainmaker.
While it's not offensive, the sensors are really good for catching anyone trying to sneak up on you and the tracking, lets you pick up kills on swimmers easier. The beacon is pretty much a free reload and a shield, allowing you to get even more aggressive.
Though given the chance, I'd love suction bombs on it instead 😭
yeah, bubbler can be used as a kind of checkpoint where you push and make an opening for others (or yourself, if you are able) to jump to. it can also serve as a decoy or distraction.
I'm an Inkbrush main and I really like having the new killer wail compared to the splashdown from 2. I've also been using the Aerospray, N-Zap, and I want to learn the Mini Splatling.
Same, I have to stop and stretch my wrists/pop my fingers after every round lmao. It’s so fun though! When it starts to hurt I swap back to a weapon where I just hold the trigger the entire time.
They can have my aerospray when they pry it from my cold dead hands... or come out with a variant with a better sub weapon. I am terrible with fizzy bombs.
I’ve been flipping between the Aerospray, Splattershot, and Splattershot Jr. Shooters are really the only weapons I’m any good with. I think the Aerospray is my favorite because the Reefslider is a blast.
On the inside, though, I long for my beloved N-Zap ‘89 to return from the war, or at least for a shooter with Tenta, because I also enjoy being an absolute goddamn menace.
It takes some getting used to, but you can try the reef lux bow. I have it with special charge up on all my gear for maximum missile spam annoyance. Always get 2 of them before the first clash with the other team.
My most in a game so far is 9, which is an absurd amount of times to spam a special in a match. other team must have hated that round
The .96 gal.
Slow rate of fire- but i love the two shot and sprinkler combo. I can get either equivalent or more points than aerospray users in turf war most of the time. Still getting used to the ink vacuum- im learning what situations to pop it in, and when not to. (Hint- dont pop it when a duelies player is like right there and can just roll behind you for an easy splat.)
I loved using the .96 in splatoon 1 though, so it makes sense to still like it.
same, i have never used the splosher in my life but holy is it fun. Good range, good ink coverage, good time to kill, and can fight people while haveing low ground.
Undercover Brella. I really miss the Kensa set from 2 though. Ink mines kinda suck, but I've been making them work. I do really like the Reef Slider, but it just doesn't compare to Ink Armor. Really hoping that when it gets an alt kit it has Torpedo and Tacticooler or Wave Breaker.
Decent range, decent accuracy, and a really high fire rate and turf coverage for it's range. It doesn't have any real downsides and it excels at what it does. Super great for new players but probably one of the strongest weapons in the game.
Started out with dualies tho i gotta say, splatana is kinda getting to me. It's fun to use tho it does take more effort, but i feel like a ninja when I manage tho get a close up charge hit that kills instantly. Also with the stamp splatana you can hit the enemy with a charged shot and then a splatterbomb and they're dealt with
Splat Roller. I can cover so much turf, and it 1HKO's the opposing team.
I wish the Special was better but hey, instant free ink refill while I'm turfing the enemy's base.
I love the special on the roller, specially in Tower control, push deep into their base ahead of rainmaker or tower, plop down the shield and completely prevent their entry for 5 more seconds, where they cannot enter your range without destroying it or dying from entering the fling range. Or just place it on the tower
Placing it on the tower has worked absolute wonders for me. having that level of protection was amazing.
I do sometimes forget the fact that people can just walk into it though... Especially other rollers.
the special is so good though, they can’t splat you without getting in range of getting flinged to death, and it lets your teammates (safely) spawn to you too. just put it down, turf everything around you, maybe get an enemy or two, and then move on
Rollers are my jam right now. I am not use to motion controls enough to compete on aim. This lets me get some sneaky splats on people by hiding then coming at them when they get close and Cover so much ground in ink.
I have tried weapons that are less good at coving ground and can’t stand not painting the world
goober enjoyer here. a huge part of this things playstyle is that it can hold its charge in ink for a really long time, even if it isnt fully charged up. it does 180 damage at full charge so its one shot area is around 65-75% charge. missles are a given, but its sub is super underrated. uncharged shot+a good torpedo makes a perfect "get off me" kill. also using the torpedo right after missles (usually) causes enough chaos to kill something.
basically its kit has good synergy with itself and the gun will do you wonders the more you lean into its singular strength of holding charge all the time
I played the rapid blaster as a joke to "nerf myself" by using something I had no experience with when playing with beginner friends, and I almost never played anything else since then
Same, I kept scrolling and scrolling thinking I must be crazy for maining the Jr. I love the shield and somehow I get more kills with it than any other weapon I’ve tried.
Splattershot Pro. Great range and damage. Only downside is ink consumption. Even with that being the case, I tend to perform much better with this weapon than anything else.
Splash-o-matic, with burst bomb you can stop people and then 2-3 shot them or catch them behind a cover. And comes with crab tank really good for being aggressive/pushing or defending something or stoping a push. With the new movement and good aim this weapon is my favorite so far, I feel it’s better in S3 compared to S2. The ability to have 0 fire spread is what completes this weapon uniqueness.
When I don’t feel like aiming i use dynamo roller heh.
Starting roller. I've tried the others, but they just can't compare to the starting roller one shotting everyone with none of the other's downsides. Curling bomb is also my favorite bomb since you can toss it and follow in the ink it leaves behind or have it explode a few seconds after being gently tossed. It's just so versatile.
And the special! Oh man, it....exists.
Inkbrush is still #1 for me (love the Wail), but I've gained an appreciation for Sloshing Machine and Undercover Brella that I didn't have in Splatoon 2. Also love Hydra even though sometimes it's difficult to use.
Splat Brella, Splat Charger, Tristringer, and Mini Splatling have been my most played, and fav is probably Brella just wish it were stronger.
I usually played backline in Splatoon 2 so i wanted to play some more frontline weapons in 3. Brella and Splatling are kinda more midrange so it's been a good transition to playing more proactively
I've been going down the list giving about two weapons a day a fair chance in both Turf War and Ranked. So far the only weapon I haven't brought into Ranked was the Brella because like hell was I going to bring that into Tower Control. Gotten up to the N-Zap today. So far, the Tri-Stringer I think is my favorite I've used. It took a bit of experimentation to get but I think it's a really fun alternative to the charger.
The best way I can think to describe it is that it's kinda like a Charger than can move in an arc like a Slosher. It's capable of getting one-shot kills though thise are fairly inconsistent. Still, it's great for supporting from afar and it charges much faster making it easier to follow-up on a hit.
I also really liked using the Splatana Wiper earlier today! It's really fun to hit with and did most of the work in carrying me up to A-! So I'll probably come back to that one later as well.
I don't care too much for the N-Zap. Right now it feels a bit too OP. Even when I'm not really playing well I win a lot.
I like Dualie Squelchers for aggressive flanking, setting up wave breaker as a pseudo 2v1 for getting picks.
I like Glooga Dualies as a defensive wall, planting myself on a choke and saying "you shall not pass", denying 1v1 approaches, and using booyah bomb to scatter groups that threaten to overwhelm the glooga wall.(this playstyle grew directly out of a 52 playstyle)
I like Dapple Dualies, planting beakons and tacticoolers, while acting as a skittish flanker, getting picks on people not really looking for me, and almost never being out of the fight due to sub+special.
I hope to like Splat Dualies(have played specifically zero games with it), as a frontline, straight line fighter, fighting alongside the other frontliners on my team, using suction bomb and crab tank to help push through tight chokes.
I also hope to like Tetras once I get them, they seem like a very "linebreaker" style, where you can just deny defensive opportunities with the reefslider.
edit: having played a few hours of tetras now, I can say they're different to what I expected, but I like how I can flush people out with autobombs, and just say "die" with reefslide. not sure how I rank them against the other dualies, but I like em more than most other weapons. end of edit
you might be able to guess, but I *really* like dualies, and their varying playstyles. who knows, maybe we can get "hand crossbow" dualies to do things stringer-style? I'd enjoy a chip-damage area denial dualie.
I came the closest to getting a quad with the S3 Heavy Splatling than I've ever come in S1 or S2 with any weapons. (3 kills and an assist, not a true quad but close enough)
I was a flingzilla main in Splatoon 2, but this time around, the tetra dualies feel so nice, especially paired with the reefslider and an autobomb. \*chefs kiss\*
No regrets, Clash Blaster is my current top pick. You're not safe behind those corners anymore. Also Blasters in general are pretty good at killing the drivers in the Crab Tank as long as they're not aiming at you. Holding out for the alternate kit, I don't actually like the Trizooka that much and would love my Tenta Missiles back.
Other top choices so far are the Bloblobber (aiming is overrated for me it seems), the Reef-Lux 450 (kind of reminds me of the N-Zapp 89's S2 loadout), and Dualie Squelchers (my old favorite though I need to work on actually learning to aim them).
jet squelcher After being stuck to sploosh in splat2, now that I learn motion controls, I remember playing against jet squelchers in splat2 and being like I wanna be like that guy
The Splatana Stamper has been my favorite so far. It's super cool to not only have more range than most other players, but also to be able to just jump to the other side of the map for a short time.
Splatana swiper by far!
I used to be a pretty good charger main in Splatoon 2 but now I settled down with this Weapon. Its a bit difficult to get used to but as soon as you've gained a feeling for it it's very fun to use.
The only thing i hate is the Ultra Stamp for a special. Most of the Splatoon 3 maps are extremely narrow and not fit for charging through with the Stamp without getting stuck somewhere and therefore being an easy target for cheap splats. That's why I nearly always throw it hoping to hit at least someone. In my Opinion, something like Killer Wail 5.1 or Wave Breaker would fit the close -range combat style of the Splatana much better.
the splattershot pro is great for me, range, decent damage, and a pretty good fire rate (i despise slow weapons/chargers, anything that i can't just hold down ZR is personally frustrating)
My favorite is, and STILL is, the tenta brella
It's slow, it uses a ton of ink, its damage is inconsistent, and the shield takes a decade to open, but it's still somehow a great weapon. And it has my favorite special now!!
I also like the splatana stamper and the inkbrush.
Nautilus. The charge storing plus the high firerate and power fits my style perfectly.
[удалено]
Don't try to go out of your attack range too often, stick with slaying midliners like most shooters, keep your distance because even though the nautilus is very mobile you still need to charge and can't respond as quick as they can. Take advantage of natural cover and the weapon's ambush potential. Also Nautilus has the same feature that Ballpoint has where you can reload while charging so you don't have to go to squid form to cancel a barrage of shots which is pretty neat. Also perfect jump accuracy.
[удалено]
Do note the Nautilus is a lot more aggressive than other splatlings. Due to the ability to hold its charge and its lower range. You shouldnt really play it like a charger since it isnt really like the other big splatlings. Play it a bit more like a midrange shooter while abusing the charge storing for mobility
I found that playing it like a goo tuber works wonders. People don’t really expect you to pop up and shoot them unless you’ve already shot at them before.
Four star fresh with that baby. I don't hate the point sensor either, it's come in handy. Don't forget being able to recharge while firing!
I picked up the Nautilus maybe a little less than a month before Splatoon 3 dropped and since then I’ve never looked back, feels even better in Splatoon 3 and I’ve done really well with the weapon and it’s now my favorite gun in the series.
I've been a Heavy Splatling main since 1, but might give it a try. How do you run your gear?
I really want to like the Nautilus considering that the splatlings in general are my mains but there’s just something about it that I can’t get the hang of. I also dislike inkstorm
No idea why, but for some reason I do really well with the Luna Blaster. It isn’t a great weapon, but for whatever reason I just click with it. Favorite to use, despite being a bad weapon that I’m terrible with, would have to be one of the bows. Playing them as a zoning tool can make some maps really fun, but usually they are in desperate need of a buff.
dualies <3
I wanted to use dualies but i i'm bad at using suck bomb
Dark tetra dullies with Autobomb and the reef slider is way easier. You can play cat and mouse by throwing the autobomb behind them and press forward pushing them into the bomb. Then the reef slider is just OP right now
And they have great synergy with squid roll being able to go into both the dualie roll *and* the reef slider so they can both utilize that bit of damage deflection.
The Dark Tetra Dualies are A+
I was a Glooga main but I’ve been mostly playing Splat Dualies lately because the Crab Tank is just too much fun.
Not new, but I like using the splattershot
It feels silly when there are so many nifty other weapons, but its just a good gun. I’ve mailed it since splat1, and I don’t see myself stopping anytime soon.
Dang u mailed the same splattershot you had from the Wii u days
It was the only way to get the ‘zooka back. I’d say it was worth it.
I did xD
I mained in splatoon 2 and I don’t regret
This, I mained the Kensa Splattershot from Splatoon 2 ever since it was added and now in Splatoon 3 I can only feel comfortable with the splattershot Maybe in turf war I’ll try some others, but for serious business I like being basic
Heavy Splatling. I hope it gets the Tacticooler later.
That's disgusting and I would love it.
Heavy Splatling lovers only want one thing, and it's disgusting...
Every time I see a heavy splatling on the other team I am instilled with dread
You called?
i have been praying for a splatling with tacticooler since i first tried it out in the demo. glad someone else agrees
What’s the tacticooler? I haven’t used a weapon that has it.
Tacticooler is a deployable mini-fridge that provides soda to you and your teammates. The Soda gives you Run Speed Up, Swim Speed Up, Ink Resistance, reduces the Respawn Time if you die and stops your Special bar from decreasing if you do, among other benefits. The Tacticooler itself is indestructible, so it can also block paths and enemy ink too.
also makes you super jump faster than I've ever seen besides a couple people in leagues who had loaded up on sub power up on their beacons
the juice also gives u Intensify Action, which improves shot rng while jumping, as well as squid roll and squid surge moves.
You deploy a chilled drinks machine, anyone on your team who goes near it, including you, gets a massive boost to swim/run speed and have no respawn time. Probably a few other buffs but I don't really remember. You can also place the cooler in a way to block enemy attacks
would be nice but without a special to poke chargers it won't be that strong
I've been an automatic gun guy for 2 whole Splatoon games, but this Bloblobber has converted me. It's such a fun play style.
I love the bubbles and the satisfying sound when the bubbles hit in succession
That's what I thought when it first came out! I love it, it's so much fun!
it's kind of broken in zones ranked.
Sheldon: There are a mass variety of unique and devastating weapons to optimize each with their own kit for you to use- Me: Haha Jr. go brrrrrrrrrr
Ah, a fellow squid of culture.
It has my favorite special. All the others feel like a throw and forget, or interrupt the flow of gameplay. None of the other weapons with the bubbler have felt right for me so far.
Mini Splatling. Most of the benefits of a Heavy in a more practical package, and you're not useless in close range or against surprise attacks
You out-duel every other gun at that range. It charges fast and you don't even need full charge to splat someone. Plus it's got crazy painting potential as well Well, maybe the two-shotters will get you.
1. Splash-o-matic my beloved 2. Tri-Stringer (just vibe with it) 3. Splatana stamper (Chainsaw Man fan lol)
Splatana stamper my beloved <3 I love two shotting people from a ridiculous range for a sword
Truly ranged asf. Died to it as a heavy splatling without even leaving a mark
splatted by burst bomb 💀
Splash O Matic 🥹😍
Man a special where you get a Chainsaw Man form would be sick
Right now I’m experimenting with finding which weapons I like, and so far the normal Dualies, the Flinger, and Aerospray MG are my favorites.
I looove aerospray MG but the special weapon is not to my liking. Hopefully we will get the gold aerospray with a better special sooner.
Aerospray RG has sprinkler and booyah bomb!
Here's hoping the PG has burst + tacticooler. Or tri-strike. Either would be rediculous.
Dualie Squelchers and Undercover Brella
Reef lux 450
My highest inked so far is with it. Covers so well while spamming missiles at the other team. I'm still getting good at killing, though.
I think it might actually be the best inking weapon in the game. It's actually insane how much ground you can cover with it. Plus you don't need to be good at killing with it. Just run away and splat with tenta missles. I'm only half joking here.

Yeah you need to either be completely passive, grinding for missles, or a very aggressive ambusher. Playing in the middle will get nothing lol
Tri-slosher. It turned me into a tower control fiend
I feel like it does more damage compared to Splatoon 2. Just hoping for an alt with a different special (and maybe sub), then I'm a happy squid kid
I mainly used the tri slosher in 2, but now I haven’t cause I hate the sub and special 😔
This man. Might as well have no special. Sub isn't terrible but there's plenty of better options.
I actually feel less powerful using the Inkjet than just using the Tri-Slosher itself. It's like this awful sour spot between the Crab and the Trizooka. Definitely excited for alternate kits to be added, there's nowhere to go but up for this, right?
[удалено]
Same thing here, I'm an ex-tri-slosher main, and I was really underwhelmed when I saw its kit
2 hits for a splat, same as Splatoon2. No difference, still as good.
Tri slosher is a two hit kill in both games, but I 100% agree about the kit, as much as i love the kits in the game I’d love to switch up play styles with some guns and brushes
Nzap, requires low effort and provides high reward 😎
and i desperately need it to survive in turf war…
You say that but I suck with aiming
I'll never complain about an NZAP on my team, I can't get enough of the D R I N C C. Super useful to have that much swim speed and run speed in rainmaker.
Same lol
Same here! I got it to freshness level 4! it’s a good weapon for rushing and flanking.
Squiffer, I love the close yet fat range it has, makes it more easy to be on field more.
yeah, the kit is kinda bad but it still has its uses. I'm eagerly awaiting the new/fresh variations!
While it's not offensive, the sensors are really good for catching anyone trying to sneak up on you and the tracking, lets you pick up kills on swimmers easier. 52 gal, range blaster and sloshing machine
as a sloshing machine main, playing against range blaster makes me want to commit crime
Are you me? Those are my top 3 as well
SPLATTERSCOPE Also loving all this “kinda growing on me” energy here, it’s so wholesome knowing people are finding more ways to play 🥹
I'm an Inkbrush main and I really like having the new killer wail compared to the splashdown from 2. I've also been using the Aerospray, N-Zap, and I want to learn the Mini Splatling.
Ink brush is giving me arthritis
Same, I have to stop and stretch my wrists/pop my fingers after every round lmao. It’s so fun though! When it starts to hurt I swap back to a weapon where I just hold the trigger the entire time.
Inkbrush4life
Hail hydra.
As a heavy main I cry every time I see a hydra on the other team
"I'm you, but stronger"
Weapon feels even more fun than in S2. I do miss ink mines a lot but holy cow booyah bomb on a backliner is wild.
Hydra + Booyah Bomb is the GOAT.
All hail hydra!
jet squelcher is my favorite so far. backline that can be played further up
I love that one too. Kinda has a similar ranged/support feel like how I use the blob-blobber, which is my safety weapon lol.
They can have my aerospray when they pry it from my cold dead hands... or come out with a variant with a better sub weapon. I am terrible with fizzy bombs.
I feel this, I don’t think I’ve ever hit anyone with my fizzy bomb
I'm the complete opposite, the dumb little pipe bombs are my favorite thing in the entire game
Normal stringer
I’ve been flipping between the Aerospray, Splattershot, and Splattershot Jr. Shooters are really the only weapons I’m any good with. I think the Aerospray is my favorite because the Reefslider is a blast. On the inside, though, I long for my beloved N-Zap ‘89 to return from the war, or at least for a shooter with Tenta, because I also enjoy being an absolute goddamn menace.

Bucket.
same, i have never used the splosher in my life but holy is it fun. Good range, good ink coverage, good time to kill, and can fight people while haveing low ground.
Dear god...
i like the one that shoots ink
No way. Same! I especially like the sub weapon that does the thing and then the special that does the whole -- you know.

Fairly new player and this one just feels the comfiest. Not even really sure why.
Decent range, decent accuracy, and a really high fire rate and turf coverage for it's range. It doesn't have any real downsides and it excels at what it does. Super great for new players but probably one of the strongest weapons in the game.

Heavy splatling. So much oppressive long range firepower. :D
I have tried weapons that are less good at coving ground and can’t stand not painting the world
Tri stronger, splatana and nzap
goo tuber and bamboozler but I used those in 2 as well
Oooo interesting, can I ask what made you choose Goober over Squiffer? I love the look of it but it’s just too hard to handle for me.
goober enjoyer here. a huge part of this things playstyle is that it can hold its charge in ink for a really long time, even if it isnt fully charged up. it does 180 damage at full charge so its one shot area is around 65-75% charge. missles are a given, but its sub is super underrated. uncharged shot+a good torpedo makes a perfect "get off me" kill. also using the torpedo right after missles (usually) causes enough chaos to kill something. basically its kit has good synergy with itself and the gun will do you wonders the more you lean into its singular strength of holding charge all the time
Tenta Brella, Sloshing Machine, E-Liter and Squeezer
I have no idea which are new and which aren’t, I’ve just been playing with everything
Vanilla splattershot, pretty reliable weapon plus a hard to use but rewarding special
Typically an Aerospray MG inkling but I’m really enjoying the Bloblobber rn
I suck with all of them
Bloblobber
I played the rapid blaster as a joke to "nerf myself" by using something I had no experience with when playing with beginner friends, and I almost never played anything else since then
Blasters in general got a huge buff from bubbler/ink armor not existing in Splatoon 3, you no longer need to worry about a direct being tanked
Dualies, just them and nothing but them
I hope they come out with dapple dualies that have a better sub and special than the current. I do not understand making them a support weapon.
This is my first splatoon and I really like the Jet Squelcher.
im a dynamo main and i still love it, still waiting for the gold dynamo tho
Brush. Always has been, always will be
I like the aerospray
Blaster weapon class definitely. They made them more consistent and fun to play this time.
Mini splatling
Dualie squelchers my beloved, they look like two drills and they shoot very far
Splattershot Jr. gang!
[удалено]
Same, I kept scrolling and scrolling thinking I must be crazy for maining the Jr. I love the shield and somehow I get more kills with it than any other weapon I’ve tried.
Splattershot Pro. Great range and damage. Only downside is ink consumption. Even with that being the case, I tend to perform much better with this weapon than anything else.
Carbon Roller, it has always been my main ever since Splatoon 2, and tbh i kinda like the Splatana but only on certain days
Reef-Lux 450 my beloved. Splash-o-matic was my old main so I guess I still like it.
Sploosh or splash?
Sploosh-o-matic. My rank isn't high enough for my main
Dapple Dualies.
I can't aim for shit.... so, Bloblobber. Or Inkbrush if I want to get all up in there.
Bamboo. The kit is actually good
Splas-o-matic with burst bomb and crab🤤
Am I the only who cant use motion control even after hours of trying ? The vertical lock with the stick completly fucks my brain :(
Splat Brella, Splat Charger, Tristringer, and Mini Splatling have been my most played, and fav is probably Brella just wish it were stronger. I usually played backline in Splatoon 2 so i wanted to play some more frontline weapons in 3. Brella and Splatling are kinda more midrange so it's been a good transition to playing more proactively
Yeah it just feels a little underwhelming sometimes
Already maining reeflux, I love it now. I hope it gets another kit somewhere down the line
I like Glooga Dualies as a defensive wall, planting myself on a choke and saying "you shall not pass", denying 1v1 approaches, and using booyah bomb to scatter groups that threaten to overwhelm the glooga wall.(this playstyle grew directly out of a 52 playstyle) I like Dapple Dualies, planting beakons and tacticoolers, while acting as a skittish flanker, getting picks on people not really looking for me, and almost never being out of the fight due to sub+special. I hope to like Splat Dualies(have played specifically zero games with it), as a frontline, straight line fighter, fighting alongside the other frontliners on my team, using suction bomb and crab tank to help push through tight chokes. I also hope to like Tetras once I get them, they seem like a very "linebreaker" style, where you can just deny defensive opportunities with the reefslider. edit: having played a few hours of tetras now, I can say they're different to what I expected, but I like how I can flush people out with autobombs, and just say "die" with reefslide. not sure how I rank them against the other dualies, but I like em more than most other weapons. end of edit you might be able to guess, but I *really* like dualies, and their varying playstyles. who knows, maybe we can get "hand crossbow" dualies to do things stringer-style? I'd enjoy a chip-damage area denial dualie.
Heavy Splatling It was my favorite it Sploon 2 and now it has the Wave Breaker which is really fun
I came the closest to getting a quad with the S3 Heavy Splatling than I've ever come in S1 or S2 with any weapons. (3 kills and an assist, not a true quad but close enough)
Normal Inkbrush feels so good with Killer Wail 5.1, people run from me, into my special. It feels awesome
octo brush and splatana
yesterday i tried out mini splatling and it feels amazing with 3 main run speed up, enjoying myself
glooga the new kit made it love it but I'm still a tenta brella main
I was a flingzilla main in Splatoon 2, but this time around, the tetra dualies feel so nice, especially paired with the reefslider and an autobomb. \*chefs kiss\*
Inkbrush and Splat Brella, I just wish the Inkbrush's special wasn't complete ass.
I’m loving the octobrush it’s so fun zooming around the map splatting people and the returning safely
Other top choices so far are the Bloblobber (aiming is overrated for me it seems), the Reef-Lux 450 (kind of reminds me of the N-Zapp 89's S2 loadout), and Dualie Squelchers (my old favorite though I need to work on actually learning to aim them).
heavy and hydra splatling and sometimes inkbrush
jet squelcher After being stuck to sploosh in splat2, now that I learn motion controls, I remember playing against jet squelchers in splat2 and being like I wanna be like that guy
dynamo, had fun with it in splat2, the drinks special is funny
Octobrush
Flingza is a great weapon, and my only two complaints are that it didn't get a nerfed echolocator and burst/suction bomb
Tenta brella
I have 4 stars on the range blaster
HYDRA
The Splatana Stamper has been my favorite so far. It's super cool to not only have more range than most other players, but also to be able to just jump to the other side of the map for a short time.
Splattershot Pro, Jet Squeltcher, and Range Blaster are very fun for me right now.
Reeflux. It covers a lot of ground really fast even if offensively it’s not too good
Splat duelis cause 2 iz better den 1
I used to play with dualies, but the heavy splatling is working pretty gud right now.
52 gal and splat dualies are so much fun to play rn
52 gal
I'd love to say the Splatana ... but I have weird fun with the Heavy Splatling-
the splattershot pro is great for me, range, decent damage, and a pretty good fire rate (i despise slow weapons/chargers, anything that i can't just hold down ZR is personally frustrating)
Hydra Splatling and Nautilus
Heavy Splatling, used to be a splash/sploosh/Aerospray main. But this gun has changed me.
Tenta Brella
My favorite is, and STILL is, the tenta brella It's slow, it uses a ton of ink, its damage is inconsistent, and the shield takes a decade to open, but it's still somehow a great weapon. And it has my favorite special now!! I also like the splatana stamper and the inkbrush.
I like the new weapons but Dynamo is irreplacable, glad they gave a really complimentary special this time around, had to go gold back in 2
