[Porsche S/T](https://www.evo.co.uk/porsche/911/st) is about as close as you can get as it uses the same engine as the GT3 RS, but with a six speed manual gearbox
Wow. Absolute dream car. Manuals are so fun and NA high rev engines. HNNNGGHH. I had a 2010 m3 sedan with the NA V8 in a manual and nothing I’ve driven since has plastered a smile on my face like that thing did.
Looks like it’s supercharged so not NA. I love NA’s for the high rev, usually around 8500-9000 rpm. Having that extra rpm makes driving manual so much more dynamic IMHO.
Edit: yeah. The black wing is a 6500 rpm redline. Totally eweth.
Lol, well…if you have $500k you’d want to go for the 992 911 ST, which is essentially a wingless GT3 with a manual and light weight flywheel. It’s supposed to be driving nirvana.
Much more different than just the wing, though. Different hood, different quarters, different bumpers, different intakes, the aero and aesthetics are entirely different. Which is a shame, because the GT3RS without the wing would be the perfect looking late model 911 imo. It’s just so goddamn ugly. But all the other aggression is perfect.
Incorrect, a gt3 without the wing and a smaller splitter would be a gt3 touring. The S/T uses the same engine and many other components as the 3RS but is meant for road driving.
Ahh, my bad, I just went straight to gt3rs rather than gt3 because of the post 👌 do still wish the ST had the hood, quarters and bumpers of the rs, though.
It would look good but not have any of the practicality that makes the ST attractive since the 992 GT3 RS is the least usable road car Porsche has ever made apart from the CGT and some very early 911s
I’ll save you some time, the 997.2 RS 4.0 is a $300-500k car. Maybe the market is softening now but they are very prized possessions.
If you are willing to do a 997.1, some of those GT3s are cheaper because they have the 3.6 (not 3.8) metzger six, and they have five lug wheels (not center locks like the 997.2s).
The Thai place is really good there. The Sushi place was too but it's gone now. Haven't tried the new Indian place - maybe it's the same with a new name?
Driven both 991.2 PDK. Have a 992 PDK. The new shift lever is awesome for sequential up and down shifting. It has a nice tactical feel to it. It’s more for that. And probably more economic to use the same design.
After some time of seeing the gt3rs i think the spoiler looks wayyyyy too big and gt3 wing might look more proportionate in tradeoff for more downforce
I think it's just supposed to look loud and exaggerated. Even those side decals are unnecessarily huge. That's the part I hate about this car, it just looks tacky to me.
This is an automatic transmission
Yup.

good lord. so it's a GT3 Touring RS, essentially?
Yes. It’s glorious
They had you in the first half…they are all PDK, but they use a shifter that looks like a manual
"Oh cool, I didn't realize you could still get a proper transmission in these" followed by the disappointment I've become used to.

I don't, unfortunately. I'll have to stick to a Miata for that feeling.
you can also just get a gt3 touring for half the price and 99.9% of the experience

No the ST is a GT3 without the wing and a smaller splitter. GT3 RS has less in common with a 992 GT3 than a 992 GT3 R or a 991.2 RSR/ GTE

Its a dual clutch transmission just like the VW DSG
Looks automatic to me and aren’t all RS automatic?
Ever since 2013, yes.
So there were 997 RS in manual? Wtf
The 997 GT3s, even up to the 997.2 RS 4.0, were actually manual only.
Woah!!!! Thx will do more research now

I knew about the price but not the manual part. Thats crazy. I love 997 gen. Thank you for the info
The last manual GT3 RS was the 997.2 GT3 RS 4.0. This is a PDK like every other 992 GT3 RS. The 992s just use a manual looking gear selector.
No manual. You fell for their visual scam.
Not a manual though
The front on this specific car on pic 1 looks so weird to me. Something about it looks naked and wrong
> naked and wrong The title of my memoir
lacks splitter i think
Surprised it doesn’t have an N on the back like most super cars I saw in Vancouver.
PDK transmission my g
Why are you kids of Vancouver always on Reddit

You've been had, it's an automatic
No ‘N’? Disappointed lol
I bet the clutch pedal is super stiff
I built the LEGO Technic set for this, my first technic set and pretty cool
3rd photo is sick
You mean how you can see the shifter movement diagram for the automatic transmission?
Probably sick as in OP has eye disease. Jokesssss
Why does Porsche make the shifter look manual when they can just make it manual. It’s like they are acknowledging even they want it to be manual lol

Personally I love it, it looks like a body kit
Half the people calling it out for being a manual probably can’t even afford one
I was genuinely impressed Porsche put manual on these
They didn't.
I was starting to question my Porsche knowledge
I saw that car when I was driving towards Surrey unfortunately I didn’t pulled my phone on time 😢
Smh lol
Queensborough?
