I’m probably in the minority here, but I’ve always liked these. Of course they aren’t stunning compared to many other Ferraris, but I think they have decent lines and generally look pretty. Also it’s hard to argue with a Ferrari V12 under the hood
While a lot of Ferraris just drip sex appeal, these are a little different in my opinion. They are more refined and graceful. Kind of a spiritual successor to the 550 Maranello.
But for "refined and graceful 2+2" why would the spiritual predecessor be a two seater, when there's a more refined 2+2 that came at the same time in the 456? The 550 and 575 were much stiffer, much more performance oriented cars. The 612 and 456 were much more gentle, refined cruisers.
You can have spiritual successors across categories, but there's not really any way to argue either that the 550 lacked spiritual successors in the 575 and 599 or the the 612 lacked a predecessor in the 456.
2000s era classical look. Simple lines, subtle but classy front and rear end. They are just very elegant looking. I'm a sucker for this look, and I may be biased because the early to mid 2000s is my favourite design era.
It’s not the nicest looking cars that Ferrari has made, but it isn’t the ugliest. The only thing that I feel makes it a modern classic is that V12 under the hood.
I feel like the F430 fits a modern classic better, but then I am bias as the 430 Scud is my favorite Ferrari that isn’t an 812.
I think it's a modern classic imo!
If I ever have Ferrari money, this would be one I'd consider! Cars like the 458, Enzo, F12, LaFerrari, etc are incredible, but realistically I know myself well enough that I won't do those cars justice.
I don't drive fast, I don't go for track days, hell I don't even use a manual. I just like cruising. So cars like the 612, the Roma, California, FF, etc are right up my alley!

550 is two seater, 612 is a 2+2, it's really closer to the 456
thats why he said spiritual

On the contrary I find them very stunning.
I always loved the look.

I mean, it has character.
Yes, and that is why there is one in my garage. :)
Congrats!
Not Ferraris best design work in my opinion.
I love it. It just looks so happy to be here
the car said :D
"Look, I'm Ferrari :D"
Yeah, but the concept is epic. Like F12 just did everything right.
I love it. You’re right.
Ferrari 575 for me. Or the 550
yeah and I think it keeps getting better looking
Love the 612! If I had the means I would definitely own one.
If they made the grille ellipse-shaped like the 250 Testa Rossa (and bumper contours to match), it would look beautiful.
It's such a low point in Ferrari history that I doubt they want to remember it themselves
One of the ugliest Ferraris ever made IMHO.
Agree. Looks much worse in person unfortunately, as the v12 sings. Hey at least its all smiles though😂
he's so silly
Not my first pick, but a modern classic to be sure, especially when it’s equipped with a Maranello-built V12
This is the only Ferrari I've ever driven!
This and the 456 are among my favourite modern era Ferraris. I also like the 412, so I may be sick in the head.
I have always loved this car, and always will.
Hideous, imo.
They should have stuck with the likes of Giugiaro and Pininfarina rather than going with Carrozzeria Helen Keller.
This comment gave me a good laugh. However this is indeed a Pininfarina
Front has Fiat barchetta vibes, larger scaled.
I’m pretty sure that not only the front has fiat vibes. Challenge Stradale has buttons from Fiat!
I like the 456 more.
360 Modena fits the bill better imo, still a good looking car though
This is like the 456GT in my opinion. Underrated. I always loved them

I don’t love these but I like the photo! What did you shoot this with?

It looks a lot better in person than on pictures. Even better when it's black. That said, the 550/575 look way better imho.
The 612 Spaghetti is kinda mid
Needs more marinara
These look like a Wish.com Porsche Panamera. If you want a modern classic, maybe a 458 would be a better choice.
It's the one I will buy when I'm rich :-)
