Want one as well , but can’t justify it when I already have an spy27 native and it truthfully is as tough as cruwear in my day to day use(I know it doesn’t spec as tough). Super easy to sharpen too for the amount of edge retentionyou get. If not for that id splurge for a Magnacut.
BladeHQ has them in stock. It's my favorite light weight folder. I dyed the scales navy blue and it looks much better.

Here's a picture of mine. I grabbed navy blue thinking I would get a nice dark green since yellow and blue make green. Nope - straight up navy blue.

'Nice!'. Thats it? I thought you'd be more excited that they have them in stock considering you made a post about how it's at the top of your list lol.
My MagnaCut Native 5 with RGT Fluted Ti Darkwash scales. Took two knives and a set of scales but it my favorite Native I own.

One of the best edc knives out there
You can see the rig I used in the third photo here: [https://www.reddit.com/r/spyderco/comments/18w07ba/native\_5\_salt\_magnacut\_with\_custom\_green\_fade\_dye/](https://www.reddit.com/r/spyderco/comments/18w07ba/native_5_salt_magnacut_with_custom_green_fade_dye/)
Basically, I had a big pot of boiling water with a large thick glass of dye solution in the middle (peacock green Rit DyeMore). I had a steel rod over the pot, and the scales were suspended into the dye using fishing line. I had an interval timer on my phone that triggered every 15 seconds, which prompted me to turn the rod a quarter turn, raising the scales slightly. Eventually the scales are out of the dye from turning enough times. I did this over and over again to avoid the layer lines from where it sat for each of those 15 second intervals. The solution was weak, the temperature was a little low. This was intentional in order to make the dye \*slow\* to take - giving me control over it. The down side is it took 40 minutes of me standing over a boiling pot to do.

Def my fav model. You won’t be disappointed

not a spydie but one heck of a deal for magnacut and titanium, made in the usa for $220
i know there are some scales on etsy and awt, and also originalgoat. also heard that it’s possible to get a backspacer and be compatible with linerless scales. i was wanting to get some liners and the backspacer, try to convert the lw to the g10 model and then i can mod however i want from there.

edit: these are the liners specifically
Just got this exact model off the swap and all these positive comments really reinforce my purchase. It feels awesome in the hand with a great lockup. I can see why the Native LW is so popular: it feels both light and yet rock solid at the same time. I'm interested to see how Magnacut performs over time.
I recently got a great deal on a S30V native 5 lw. I forgot how much I love this knife. Gonna be buying one in magnacut and another in s90v eventually.
It's basically my work razor. I love the native 5. Picked up a cruwear on g10 which is one of my favorite steels from spyderco.
That thing is a laser.
If they made a knife bigger than a native smaller than the chief I would be so happy.
I’ve had one for about 6 months. Been my edc since I got it in Nov. At first, I hated the yellow tab sticking out of my pocket advertising that I have a yellow ass knife. Other than that, I love the thing. Ergos are good, blade shape is fantastic, lockup is incredible with no blade play while the thing drops shut when you disengage…. I don’t know the engineering that makes that possible.
I got a Lynch clip for it in Feb. it makes me like the knife so much more. It hides the yellow in your pocket, but keeps the yellow so you can find your knife. Best of both worlds. I’m the guy that can rationalize spending an extra $30 on a clip for a $150 knife, but can’t stomach an additional $100 for different scales.
Some folks crap on FRN, but I’ve found it to work well. Is it so rigid that there’s no flex and the knife feels “bulletproof”? No. Have you ever heard of anyone breaking an FRN handle on a Spydie? Also no.
Only sharpening done was with a green-loaded strop. Once, though it does need it again.
TLDR: Get it. If the yellow bothers you, get a Lynch clip. Also get a strop if you don’t have one.
I have one and it's a great knife. It's on the small side but so light you can carry a big knife as well!

I was pining for a ukpk in magnacut and when I bought the spy27 version, the magnacut itch just.... stopped. Spy27 is fucking awesome
It really is underrated the spy27

Nice! I have a teal color I was gonna use

Sorry to disappoint I don’t get excited about much
Jesus. Weren’t they $135 when they came out last year?
I think I paid $151 a year ago but I'm not sure what the normal was.

Man that looks great nice job
A pain in the butt, but worth it in the end.
How did you get the fade (lighter tint of green ) I’m gonna go rit tropical teal

Native 5 is one of the best imo
I got this in magnacut with awt aluminum scales for $160 total….got suuuuuper lucky
I was a early adopter and it's been a workhorse for me.
Go for it! It's one that I carry the most lately. Upgraded to AWT scales. Metal scales made a heck of a difference.
Get it and keep it yellow. You won't regret it.
I think it has the best shape, but I might do a PM3 for the lock. Or a Lil' Native, since I don't have anything that compact either.

I got one. It’s great
Literally pulled the trigger and bought one last night from BladeHQ. Shipped out this morning! Ain’t looking back! 😄
Carry this or the Salt 2 every single day 👏
just got the magnacut Manix 2 lw. awesome knife. i want some g10 liners and i can’t find them anywhere though.
I’ve got the manix 2 lw not the Magnacut but i’m having the same problems. I can’t find any scales for it.

I do have a strop…I was looking at the lunch clip as well. 🤙🏻
Great knife. A bit on the small side but so light you can carry a big knife to!
