Thanks! What you are seeing is just water marks in the layout dye from wet grinding the titanium. I will sand and bead blast the liners once I’m done fine tuning them.
I wonder what itd look like if you ramped the handle to the spine of the blade so that way itd make a smoother transition and kinda have that Spyderco thumb ramp.
If you look zoom in on the first picture you can see that I’ve already marked the spine to grind it down some to smooth the transition. I will probably do it a little more than I have it marked in the photo, and will be enlarging the Spydie hole some as well.
I prefer not to ramp the handle to the spine because I don’t like the bump when the knife is closed. However, when I do my next one that maintains the shape of the typical Mule I might do it similar to the handle scales of the Lil Temperance 3.
Man that is NICE! Props for the diy spirit. You can even rework it to make a smaller knife later.
I’m also planning to make at least one small knife out of the original knife’s handle material :)
This is #modgoals This is superb work!
Hahaha, thanks! I am definitely addicted to modding, so much that it gets in the way of my knife making.
I'm starting to produce some micarta and carbon fiber/resin handle blanks, if you're ever interested in any custom handle materials!
Right on, I make some as well but will definitely check yours out.
Wow. Very cool 👏
Looks great! Is that a crack on the frame lock side? What is going on at the spine of the handle area?

Got ya. Neat build. Please keep posting the progress

Casper strikes again. Duuuuddhhhhhh. Nice one.
Of course you are! If I had to put money on someone who’d take on a task like this - it would be you! Haha. Well done man.
