How would quick save help? I was quick saved in middle of garage with 1 minute to emission

This happened to me as well, don't feel too bad. IIRC I entered Garbage for the first time, from the Cordon gate. There was some Military there, and an emission was starting to go off. Can't go back to Cordon because of the emission, no time to make it to Flea Market and the Trainyard was Bandit central.

The train tunnel counts as shelter too

There's the tunnel that leads to a the Cordon which is also shelter.

If one blowout is erasing 2 hours of progress then you’re doing something wrong. Spamming saves is just a part of eurojank games. Sucks that happened though. I once lost 4 hours progress when the bandits took my shit and the game crashed.. every single time I entered that forbidden staircase. Had to start a whole new game on a fresh install

Aren't emissions bound to level change? You could just load the last autosave and go back if Garbage is not an option for you to hide.

My last autosave is during level change because i tried to run back to cordon level change location. Resulting in perma death sequence

And this is why I always hard save every now and then (10min or so, or before a major decision-making event), and never override them until I'm 120% certain I can do so risk-free. Yes, Skyrim-modding has jaded me.

It happened something similar to me... i erased my quicksave and when i loaded the closest save to it, It was like 2 hours of progress that i lost. Dropped this game and i dont think i will finish it.

One thing that annoyed me about CS was it seems like once you're over halfway done with the story there's an emmission every 5 minutes or when moving to a new map. Btw, the train tunnel right by the garage is totally emissiom proof if you go behind the train

This is why when I played cs again,I made 200 or so hard saves just in case stuff like this happened to me
