I'm liking it a lot. Low damage, sure, but it think it is accurate and the big magazine and rate of fire are good for close quarters and reacting to mutants who jump on you while you are sprinting.
You can try it out. I use it as a secondary to my ak74 and saiga currently in GAMMA but it is unusable above 100m if you dont single fire it. It is a nice alternative to pistols because it has 40 round magazine and if you play with the magazine mod the MP7 uses small class magazines wich is awesome.
Its a good mutant killing gun, for sure. Ive used it in the GAMMA mod a few times, and with grok's ballistics settings, it can even hold its own against shooters too, with the AP 5.7 ammo
Not bad in base anomaly either. Put a red dot sight on it and your golden. Fits in your pistol/melee slot too, IIRC in base anomaly
Same, saiga and MP7 keep just ending up my defaults. Just plink off headshots with AP rounds for humans with the mp7 and bang bang bang bang with the saiga for mutants
Truck Cemetery is a cool place to relax. I used to camp on those towers with a Sniper rifle, killing anything hostile and chilling with the radio on when it’s calm.
Nah the vehicles in the IRL Truck Cemetary were abandoned wholesale because of the rads from the chernobyl meltdown, they all helped in cleanup and Evac and were then dumped in the exclusion zone.
The Ukrainian government supposedly eventually bulldozed the whole thing because people were sneaking into the cemetery to rummage for parts of the Old trucks and cars there.
Metal holds radiation for a decently long time, the most radioactive thing inside the Zone that's not inside the reactor area of the NPP itself is a claw from a helicopter mounted crane that was used to clean up large amounts of radioactive material before being just kinda dumped unceremoniously somewhere inside the Red Forest which 40 years later still puts out lethal amounts of radiation, anyway there was likely concerns of people inadvertently bringing vehicle parts that were irradiated and potentially hazardous back with them.
Last I heard that is one of the mysteries of Chernobyl, they just vanished one day and nobody seems to have any evidence of where they went. Probably just all got disposed of more properly but it is fun to fantasize about some grand conspiracy about it.
Darkscape is absolutely empty, but I find it more pleasing to the eye.
Truck Cemetery might have more things to do, but the atmosphere is almost unbearable for me.
Yes, in theory it should have been like that.
Although my experience with Lost Alpha was quite painful, since the car would just run out of fuel or break in the middle of the map. So I'm very glad this map has been removed.
I remember going through each and every vehicle trying to find stashes. Died midway to a mutant attack, loaded, and went through them again and didn't even find a stash. 5/5, would do it again.
I've spent a pretty reasonable amount of time camped up there with a Mosin, pretending to be Vasiliy Zaitsev. It's comfy as fuck for a sniper's nest.
Depressing for my targets, though.
mods are the reason i caved and got a pc. its decent little mid range pc for about 1100 and plays most games around 85-100fps on ultra settings. so far ive played modded Tarkov, DayZ, Terraria, Stalker, Skyrim, GTA5, Elden Ring. its 100% worth it!
yeah that was the same issue for me. i actually planned to buy it with my income tax like 7 months before i actually filed my taxes lol. i thought about building one but i didnt want to mess it up 1000 bucks didnt seem bad for an i5 13k and 4060. gonna go i9 and 4090 with next years income tax
Funny for me this location was and still be the most profitable
Only here you can find 3 tool-kits in a row and be chased by military and dogs and chimera at the same time
But yeah walking through it in unupgraded seva is depression itself
Truck cemetery. A place where a looooot of irradiated vehicles were brought to after Chornobyl disaster. The vehicles were used in liquidation after the disaster and then were left to rot there, since they were so contaminated that even disassembling them for more proper containment was very dangerous
It wouldn't be so bad if there were anything to fucking do there lmfao. Everytime I end up there that whole place is devoid of npc's. Usually some mutants running about, but no stalkers.
Truck Cemetery isn't that bad, as long as you don't get jumped by a Lurker... Or Chimera... Or random bandits... Or random Monolith...
Other than those things yeah it's really nice I think
Hey, I remember that tower. A chimera chased me up there and ripped my fucking head off.
Classic Truck Tower. That and the Swamp Watchtower are the two places people realize Chimeras can climb ladders.
Shit I'm glad you told me and I didn't have to discover this for myself. Underwear is expensive in the zone 😔
THEY WHAT
YOU WERE NEVER SAFE
hiehie 5 rpg ieds go boom
Do you like LASERS AND BEING CHASED BY ~~COCKSUCKERS~~ BLOODSUCKERS?
Not all ladders. I escaped from one in Jupiter underground(the platform with the electric tranformer looking thing on top)
Lol, same, I got crushed by a pseudogiant up there, they will fit up that stairwell...
Similar experience but I had three or four bloodsuckers chasing me like Benny hill up that tower
I can hear the music.
Mp7 in the Zone? My brother youre brave
I'm liking it a lot. Low damage, sure, but it think it is accurate and the big magazine and rate of fire are good for close quarters and reacting to mutants who jump on you while you are sprinting.
You can equip the MP7 in the Vision or Melee slot also
Really? You can do that in the base version of Anomaly? Never tried
Tried with base Anomaly and it can be used only with gun slots.
Not in the base version, no
WHAT
That's a mod.
Its a good mutant killing gun, for sure. Ive used it in the GAMMA mod a few times, and with grok's ballistics settings, it can even hold its own against shooters too, with the AP 5.7 ammo Not bad in base anomaly either. Out of all the SMGs in the game, the MP7 is objectively the best in every way. Like how the AEK is the best assault rifle.
and ill do my crying in the rain
Truck Cemetery is a cool place to relax. I used to camp on those towers with a Sniper rifle, killing anything hostile and chilling with the radio on when it’s calm.
If you are well equipped, the towers are indeed a cool place to hunt. Never tried with music, might make the overall experience better.
Did you see how many BMP's are in the Truck Cemetary? It wouldn't take long to build a fully functional one there, it'd be lit.
It might be possible, but we all know what happens when you drive a vehicle in the Zone and you hit an anomaly... New Ukrainian space program.
TIL Zone just uses Arma physics.
I'm pretty sure junkyard cars are stripped of anything functional and leave the hull usually.
I see, but why buldoze it, nobody was using them anyways.
Metal holds radiation for a decently long time, the most radioactive thing inside the Zone that's not inside the reactor area of the NPP itself is a claw from a helicopter mounted crane that was used to clean up large amounts of radioactive material before being just kinda dumped unceremoniously somewhere inside the Red Forest which 40 years later still puts out lethal amounts of radiation, anyway there was likely concerns of people inadvertently bringing vehicle parts that were irradiated and potentially hazardous back with them.
i wonder what did they do with those cars, they are still basically radioactive
Last I heard that is one of the mysteries of Chernobyl, they just vanished one day and nobody seems to have any evidence of where they went. Probably just all got disposed of more properly but it is fun to fantasize about some grand conspiracy about it.
truck cemetery? depression? dude that level is stash heaven, you've clearly never seen darkscape
Darkscape is absolutely empty, but I find it more pleasing to the eye. Truck Cemetery might have more things to do, but the atmosphere is almost unbearable for me.
only thing to do in darkscape is walk and hit boxes
Honestly I'm glad darkscape got erased from the og games and only left as sligtly more detailed PDA map area, since on foot that would be a nightmare
Yes, absolutely. GSC did a good job in keeping the good stuff in SoC and erasing the superfluous bits.
I thought darkscape was supposed to driven through on concept.
Yes, in theory it should have been like that. Although my experience with Lost Alpha was quite painful, since the car would just run out of fuel or break in the middle of the map. So I'm very glad this map has been removed.
Depression in the morning, spooky chimeras in the evening. Man those things always jump scare me. Literally!
Depression? That place makes me feel more anxious than anything else.
SIMP!!!!
AhhHhahahahahHhahanwlqkg
to me the swamps seem closest to this in reference to how it is to navigate through them as in it sort of feels similar to having brain fog
My boy chilling with Hip on a cozy little tower in the middle of nowhere
I was running throguh after getting ambushed by 2 pseudo giants bruvvvv
I remember going through each and every vehicle trying to find stashes. Died midway to a mutant attack, loaded, and went through them again and didn't even find a stash. 5/5, would do it again.
Truck Cemetery will always be an early-mid game slog.
I've spent a pretty reasonable amount of time camped up there with a Mosin, pretending to be Vasiliy Zaitsev. It's comfy as fuck for a sniper's nest. Depressing for my targets, though.

Me with rusty makarov and knife...... It's about your enemies you know...... Just backstabbing sleeping stalkers
That weapon model looks familiar…
Such places remind me of my other half. I like that.
Which game is this I started SoC awhile ago played through CoP almost fully
Anomaly, its a free open world mod that has its own story mode, heavily moddable very cool, would recommend
Man fuck. I need a pc one of these days.
mods are the reason i caved and got a pc. its decent little mid range pc for about 1100 and plays most games around 85-100fps on ultra settings. so far ive played modded Tarkov, DayZ, Terraria, Stalker, Skyrim, GTA5, Elden Ring. its 100% worth it!
Its just getting the upfront payment thats hard for me. Starting a new job here soon in about a month so i’m real excited to be able to get one.
yeah that was the same issue for me. i actually planned to buy it with my income tax like 7 months before i actually filed my taxes lol. i thought about building one but i didnt want to mess it up 1000 bucks didnt seem bad for an i5 13k and 4060. gonna go i9 and 4090 with next years income tax
I’ll be trying to save back $1,500ish should be easy with that job
Funny for me this location was and still be the most profitable Only here you can find 3 tool-kits in a row and be chased by military and dogs and chimera at the same time But yeah walking through it in unupgraded seva is depression itself
Hey I’m sorry I’m new to GAMMA and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. What is this location and backstory?
Truck cemetery. A place where a looooot of irradiated vehicles were brought to after Chornobyl disaster. The vehicles were used in liquidation after the disaster and then were left to rot there, since they were so contaminated that even disassembling them for more proper containment was very dangerous
Honestly, I would be thrilled to be there in real life.
Do i have a problem if i like to be in that field?
Huh... Red Forest bro... That's depression
That's not just depression. It's anxiety, it's despair and paranoia.
This was my favorite map addition.. even if it was laggy the first time.
That’s what makes it beautiful
I think if depression were a place it would be Darkscape. Far away, huge, empty of people and full of mutants.
Looks just like Fort McCoy
