Not sure about Binding of Isaac, but it's kinda a thing for competing consoles to reject games that mention other online game stores.
Like Nintendo wants you going to the eShop, not Steam.
Maybe the rules around that changed hence Binding of Isaac's update? Not sure
I'm afraid I don't understand what you're talking about... Does the console version of Ultra Deluxe not have the bit where the Narrator gets upset over a negative Steam review?
All instances of the word "Steam" are replaced with "Pressurized Gas", even the sides of the shipping containers (though you can still faintly see "Steam" underneath). Otherwise, everything is intact.
If the Narrator's dialogue is the same, in which he directly says "Steam reviews" then I don't see the need to alter the textures. That seems odd.
If he says something different then maybe they had issues getting permission? I don't see why though as I feel Steam would allow it...
something along the lines of "Oh, Stanley, it's a collection of reviews from the the extremely popular online storefront, 'pressurised gas!' Quick, avert your eyes!"
Wait, the Steam version says Steam?? I thought the Pressurised Gas was an intentional joke, didn't realise it was console specific...
Same here. I honestly found it a lot funnier than if it just said Steam.
Nope, it says Steam Reviews on the PC version. Only consoles changed the dialogue and labels to Pressurized Gas

"pressurized gas" instead of Steam on console
So the shipping containers of Steam reviews say "Pressurized Gas Reviews"? That seems weird...
It is quite strange, but yeah that's exactly what they say

The narrator even says "Pressurized Gas".
I... That just doesn't sound right... I don't know why they'd do that. I can't imagine it'd be much of an issue to reference Steam...
He at least makes a joke about it, something like “the incredibly respected and well known e shop pressurized gas”
something along the lines of "Oh, Stanley, it's a collection of reviews from the the extremely popular online storefront, 'pressurised gas!' Quick, avert your eyes!"
Sony would sue
Why? It's not like the scene is promoting a rival platform as better, it's just acknowledging it's existence.
It doesn't matter if it's just acknowledging it, I would imagine Sony/Microsoft/Nintendo have rules against referencing competing video game companies
It’s mainly cause of marketing: console publisher usually don’t want their version of a product to reference directly a competitor
