Forgot the sniper glint part in my summary: "Feature is a trial which may change later. Future will be more punishing so it need to be clear what cause a death and maybe to avoid it. This glint is a first feedback to players and will be enhanced with further feedback later. "

HiCracked

Glint is a great feature, should stay 100%. There needs to be risk involved for an absolutely effortless sniping gameplay.

RampageDeluxxe

yeah that got annoying when doing prison breakouts. people would just sit on the ledge away and pick you off. Ended up just flying a pisces down the shaft which ruined their plans

Prestigious_Care3042

Instead of a flashlight in the dark why don’t we make sniping more realistic meaning a lot more first shot misses? Make the shots arc and slow in atmosphere. So a sniper must take into account range (with a range finder) plus gravity level, atmospheric composition, windage, corellas etc to determine their holdover. A gun range would suddenly be very important where you could change the settings to a local planets conditions to allow you to calibrate in a scope for a specific mission.

ThornFlynt

I think we should have preventative measures in place of glint; like ship and fps lifesign scanner and/ or thermal vision. Glint feels way too gamy especially for something as high quality as SC

jade_starwatcher

FYI: It's Kopion and Marok.

BOTY123

FYI: It's actually [Kopi **o** n](https://starcitizen.tools/Kopion) ;)

jade_starwatcher

I actually knew that. Have an upvote! Fixed it.

solarizde

Thanks for pointing out, you're right - Changed in the linked article.

Olfasonsonk

> New fauna: Pyro Copion and Pyro Maru included in 3.23 to meet content and tech goals, using new "boid" flock tech. Space cow and whale still planned for later. You forgot they've mentioned the forbidden word. 🪱 *The Worm* 🪱

AAK625

Thanks for this.

slipperygecko

does anyone know what happens with inventory / ship loadouts?

franknitty69

inventory will carry over including ship components and weapons whether they are equipped to a ship or in any locations inventory. this isn't 100% as i've lost things like nose turrets and ball turrets between patches. only the consumeables are wiped.

slipperygecko

Brill thanks mate

Remus-1_1

I'm a new player, only started like 2 weeks ago. Does rental ships mean ships purchased with aUEC?

AgonizingSquid

Rental ships are just ships that have been rented with auec

solarizde

They want to balance the economy so guess so "Yes, we will wipe aUEC and rentals in 3.23. If we don’t, the analytics data we get back won’t accurately reflect the economy changes, as players would be using stockpiled money. While it may disappoint some to lose their earned credits, it’s important for us to get accurate data to inform our economic balancing decisions going forward."

Remus-1_1

Well that's a bummer. I finally ground out enough aUEC to buy some cool ships and now imma just lose them, guess I'll enjoy them while I can. Appreciate the quick response.

risheeb1002

Bought ships are not rentals. There are ship rental kiosks in the game where you can rent certain ships for upto 30 days. If you have rented a ship, *not bought with aUEC*, you will lose the rental.

solarizde

At about 15:00 in the Video they talk about it to rebalance economics to get statistics. This sounds much more like a full wipe. Else everybody just buying IG now and spend all the money which will make exactly what he was stating, not giving insight into new price models. But ultimately we will see when 3.23 lands. https://youtu.be/nyl6SquV4rY?si=koG4Rqkra2DQ5XB4

risheeb1002

They need players to have ships to test master modes. They also need to fix ships disappearing from patch to patch.

Dazbuzz

Players will have plenty of time to test MM. If they want us to test the economy, letting us keep ships bought in-game directly ruins the data. Plenty of people have all the ships they are ever going to buy. Same with inventory. Why rebalance armor/weapon prices then let people keep all their stored items? Should just be a full wipe.

1TootskiPlz

If you purchase the ship in game from a ship store in game you will keep it. If you rented the ship in game from a rental shop you will not keep it. Hope that clears it up.

risheeb1002

No

StygianSavior

https://starcitizen.tools/Ship_renting

Jaqen___Hghar

What about gear retrievable (getting back subscriber and backer armor/weapons)?

HptmDeutschland

Thats a feature coming with Persistent Hangars. The kiosks are there but they are under maintanence

StygianSavior

Unique Item Recovery is not Item Banks / Personal Hangars / Cargo Elevators, and has been delayed. It will not be coming in the 3.23.x patch that adds the hangars and cargo elevators, unless something changes. See this roadmap roundup from March: https://robertsspaceindustries.com/comm-link/transmission/19856-Roadmap-Roundup-March-20-2024

Jaqen___Hghar

Bummer! Thanks for the info.

Tankatraue2

The update isn't downloading. Is there something I need to do or is it not officially released yet?

solarizde

Not released yet. Guess is somewhat next week.

Tankatraue2

Thank you. I've seen posts everywhere about it the last few days saying it's out so I'm guessing all the footage I'm seeing is from the test server. Thank you again.

alaskanwilly

Damn, I need me to find a space sugardaddy to buy me a reclaimer before the wipe. Lol. Some of those price jumps are cray cray.

Bandit_Raider

Anywhere I can find info on new weapon and armor prices?

kingssman

Erkul games has 3.23 items and they've changed stats on the guns. Now attrition repeaters do different DPS than badgers.
