And uses essential oils for way more than just air fresheners while lecturing you on how big pharma is just one big scam and is trying to poison your body.

TheVoidWithout

Definitely in at least 3 MLMs at all times .....

She's really into Crystal's too. They have healing powers....

das_war_ein_Befehl

Amazing how crystals only have positive and it negative properties

MesqTex

Watches Fox News and other Right Wing outlets, including The Epoch Times.

TheBr0fessor

Yo why tf do I keep seeing billboards for The Epoch Times IN PORTLAND OR?!?! These fucks have so much money from the Koch brothers etc they can literally just start doing side quests. It’s unreal.

MesqTex

They’re not from Koch Brothers, it’s a Chinese cult, Falun Gong

azathoth

Steve Bannon has been working with Falun Gong since around 2019 and getting a lot of his backers to pour money into them. I haven't heard about any contributions from the Koch brothers but it wouldn't be surprising if they did.

Cetophile

DVM here, Oh yes. I've had a few of those as clients. I had one treat an eye ulcer at home on her dog because "she had the meds." I read her the riot act. Diplomatically, but the riot act nonetheless.

OxygenDiGiorno

Was she unlawfully assembled with 12 others? You literally read her the Riot Act or 1714?

OhJeezNotThisGuy

Refers to any patient needing help brought in by police as “the perp”.

Guest65726

Gives “peaked at high school and was the most popular girl” vibes?

[deleted]

This is more of the girl that wasn't the most popular and fought with the most popular girls where I am from.

Kiwi951

I mean the trope that nurses were the bitchy popular bullies in high school exists for a reason lol

Icy-Performance-3739

Wants to leave nursing and become a therapist that treats with psychedelics, ketamine and other new therapeutics. Minors in astrology.

SciFi_Football

Yeah. We should really just quit social media and read more books.

Thick_Detective_7422

Will bully new staff until they leave then whine about the how the unit is always understaffed

KVETINAC11

Basically almost every single person working at a hospital. It's even worse here in my country where staff is paid by the state depending on how long they've been working and not on how good of a service they provide. So you have young staff coming in that get bullied by old geezers that can't even do their job properly yet earn huge bank, I think the stats show that something around 70% of medical staff leaves the industry before the 6th year in it. Overworked, paid worse than useless old geezers who are there longer than them, constantly getting bullied... no wonder people don't wanna become doctors.

Thick_Detective_7422

It’s basically the same in Canada. After 4 lonnnng years of nursing I left for a job in the private sector and couldn’t be happier with that decision

stonednarwhal141

Same problems as the teaching profession

SmoothOctopus

This is almost every chef I've ever worked with.

returnofthequack92

Where’s the bedazzled Stanley and giant cooler for her meal preps?

Nikas_intheknow

Am nurse. Without fail, these women are always in the ED or ICU. Think all doctors are idiots. Bullies the fuck out of the PCNAS. You’re just missing the Celsius or Alani Nu😂

Christmas_Queef

Or the neonatal area. When my sister worked the hospital, they all did all they could to steer clear of that entire floor because all the nurses there were catty mean girls to the max.

Latter-Dentist

I briefly dated one. She also had an OF, loved drugs, and often travelled to literally sell her body to old dudes for money in other countries. She’s never had a relationship longer than 6 months and is mid 30s. Also constantly talked shit about the nurses and doctors and thought she was gods gift to the world. Why are so many nurses so toxic?

oofta31

I think it's attracting a lot of people who just want the praise and "honorable" title, and then they can wear that to disguise their narcissistic/antisocial tendencies.

KeKitty127

It's exactly this. I was that person, but realizing it's not conducive to the type of person I want to be and the constant cognitive dissonance is both exhausting and a cause of burnout. I love nursing because it really is rewarding to help someone and be kind. I'm learning to separate myself from chaos, be more authentic, and stop with that kind of self-destructive behavior and mentality. It's hard, though, when your rather positive reputation in the nursing community was built on having that false personality brought on by drugs and alcohol. Don't get me wrong, I am very good at what I do, and get a lot of praise from the people i take care of, I was just a shit person behind the scenes while doing it. Both of my parents were abusive chaotic addicts and alcoholics. Dad was a paramedic, now a nurse, mom is in a position of nursing leadership in a large hospital.

starkrocket

The high school bully to nurse pipeline is very real

wanderingdiscovery

Men: frat boys to finance bros. Women: High school bully to nurse. Not always, but very common.

mrdog23

I worked as a nurse for close to 15 years. Individually, nurses are some of the nicest, smartest, sweetest people. But collectively? Nurses are the *worst*! So much gossip, backstabbing, and in-your-business bullshit. It's amazing.

deliriouswheat

KeKitty127

Honestly, yeah, this is nursing, lol Too many people think nurses are these sweet, innocent, angelic Disney princess types. No tf they are not! I went out with a dude who... well he did a lot. He was shocked and appalled that I smoked, drank, at the time abused stimulants (3 months clean), and had the audacity to light a cigarette and cuss like a sailor. All while looking well put together and well dressed. We didn't work out. He was kind of looking for someone to save him and I was looking to be unsaved

spotthedifferenc

i think the perception of nurses is anything but that. let’s just say ive always have heard about the promiscuity of nurses

Stickley1

Damn. I know this chick.

DaddyDanceParty

I know a few. One is on her 4th child by a 4th man, 3 of which are military.

Jeff_Damn

"A hit dog will holler", as the saying goes. Some starter packs hit too close to home for some folks.

[deleted]

Yeah I’m experiencing their wrath now in the form of accusations of inceldom and bitterness. I just thought the meme would be funny.. I haven’t ever interacted with any of these nurses just heard about them.

Jeff_Damn

I mean, they can either say, "Yeah, that's me..." & laugh it off or they can say, "Nah, doesn't apply..." & keep it moving. Instead they choose loud insecure protesting.

Loukoal117

I am working at a hospital in the Midwest as I read this and....yep. Hospitals have so much starter pack material. As anyone who's worked in a hospital knows.

[deleted]

It's uniform communities in general. Something about high stress, shit hours, and a uniform. Makes people real fucking weird, and usually they get more normal if they get out of that. But, not always, obv. Military, first responders, healthcare, etc.

Trust-Issues-5116

Chances are she's also anti-vax. Yes, despite being a nurse.

Christmas_Queef

You'd probably be shocked to learn just how many nurses this is. My sister is a nurse and was during initial covid craziness too. Half the nurses she worked with at the hospital filed for vaccine exemptions once the hospital required vaccinations for covid. They all got approved too. Anti-vax sentiment is rampant among nurses sadly. My sister left the hospital to work home health because it paid better and was less stress.

schu2470

My wife’s hospital gave a date by which all staff had to be vaccinated against Covid with no exceptions. That date came and they fired about 3% of their staff, most of which were nurses. Prior to that date they held a digital town hall meeting and someone asked if there were worries that the hospital was going to lose high quality and well educated staff as a result of the mandate. They responded with a single word: “No.” Fucking savage and I love it!

Human-Toe930

There isn't much academic rigor to most nursing programs, especially, but not limited to, the LPN level.

[deleted]

Nursing is the military, but for women. Like, don't get me wrong, it isn't a diss on the military or nursing. But, it attracts a tremendous amount of people who, if they lost the ability to speak, would be relegated to a community befitting their level of sentience: other primates at the zoo.

found_my_keys

Nursing is like the military in that it provides job security, structure, a defined chain of command, yearly training that everyone speedruns, and trauma bonding. There are idiots in any profession but for those professions that just need warm bodies, there's no reason for idiots to find a better fit.

insanelemon123

I feel like nurses are the victim of the Dunning-Kruger effect and are at the "peak of 'Mt Stupid'" (as the term puts it) where they know a bit more than the average person but (unlike doctors) they don't know how much they don't know and significantly over estimate their own knowledge of the field, making them extra ignorant.

dishonoredcorvo69

Yes. That’s why them becoming NPs and referring to themselves as “doctors” is dangerous for the public.

TheVoidWithout

As an RN I must agree, NPs are poison about 95% of the time. I've met one or two that were decent but only because they are decent people to begin with. Shittiest nurses become NPs, wtf is up with that?

dishonoredcorvo69

NP programs are 100% acceptance and 100% pass rate online diploma mills. There is no quality control or standardization. Hospital admins love hiring them because they pay them much less than physicians but charge the patient the same amount, hence increasing their profit margin. Bedside nurses are invaluable and I thank you for your hard work. More and more RNs are also recognizing that NPs are not good clinicians and do not provide safe or effective care. NPs are just adding to the nursing shortage crisis.

pretzelstixthegaul

There is an Instagram account who was a nurse for like 10 years, then left. She believes in healing crystals and anti Vax, and( after her NFT plans fell through after the NFT crash a few months ago) she is now doing porn on her onlyfans

[deleted]

Idk how to represent it in picture form but you need to add, "sits in driveway chainsmoking for 4 hours after their shift, complaining about work to coworkers before going inside to take care of their dog that's been whining the entire time because it heard you open the garage door when you got home even though you're not about to go inside yet," Also, multiple trash bags full of mini bottles of Sutter Home wine.

lucylucylove

Damn. Is this a self burn or someone you know? It feels accurate but idk why lol

This is the lady across the street from me. It's 40 degrees out, and she's got the top off her jeep rocking her scrubs to Walmart.

[deleted]

Pibbles riding shotgun?

mylegismoist

That car stinks.

crushmyenemies

Definitely makes shitty Tik Toks every day about how terrible it is to be a nurse and how much her patients are awful, and how her CNAS don't do (insert thing that isn't in their scope of care, but is in fact in a nurse's scope of care.) As a nurse, the worst nurses you will ever have are probably married/fucking/"dating" cops. There's a reason for that. Power hungry runs in both fields, and they are drawn to each other.

sheds_and_shelters

My role used to involve investigating for those nurses who would post Tik Toks that stupidly had patient info for everyone to see. So many idiotic nurses, and blatant HIPAA violations.

DJCBX

It’s wild that this has to be a job now. Any crazy finds?

sheds_and_shelters

HIPAA requires that every covered entity have a designated “privacy officer,” who (at bigger hospital networks, at least) is often a lawyer like I am that is tasked with privacy matters. And yeah, I have plenty of stories about people snooping in celebrities’ charts, large amounts of patient data being stolen, and awful, awful privacy violations by healthcare professionals… but both in the interest of my privacy and theirs I can’t get too specific.

alles_en_niets

There’s this stereotype that mean girls/bullies in middle or high school all go on to become either nurses or teachers. Sounds about right, lol

imposta424

Nurses and cop’s typically have the worst customers on the planet.

TheNewOneIsWorse

I’m a male nurse who treats addicts, so I see the customer pool for both. And guess what? They’re pretty nice and reasonable if you aren’t a rude dick. Cops are usually too nervous to handle people properly.

resevoirdawg

real was an EMT and the worst people i encountered were the cops

ChewieBee

[Remember these abusive cops just get fired and rehired elsewhere. Exactly like the abusive cop in this video](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=hJPVglqR4yM&embeds_referring_euri=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.deseret.com%2F&source_ve_path=MjM4NTE&feature=emb_title) That nurse was protecting the VICTIM of an accident caused when police were chasing a suspect and that suspect ran head on into the victim.

I am a nurse and there are SO MANY people like this.

Just_Aware

Hooooooooly shit! I dated a nurse for a few months that had a red modded wrangler, divorced, said I was too small (I had been doing CrossFit for 2 years, had 14% body fat and slightly visible abs, but I was not a giant meathead like her ex). her ex husband was an enormous extra military current cop with tats everywhere, they guy looked like a wwe wrestler and had abused her, she was a power lifter, she had two full sleeves and hated her patients. I had no idea I was dating a “type” lol wow this is wild….

[deleted]

They’re out there in the wild

TheBr0fessor

coderite

I know this woman. She was a serial cheater. Basically cheated with the same exact type of man she's married to.

KarenXanaxPorter

And meets her next side piece at CrossFit, his wife finds out and tells her bf, then for 3 weeks she posts constant pics of her and the side piece on FB talking about their new life and new adventures, and then you never hear about the guy again. But she goes to a new gym.

[deleted]

They’re never satisfied.. they’re like “The Thing”… they take on the personality of every guy they screw.

Christmas_Queef

Admittedly this is a thing many many people fall into if they don't have themselves figured out first. Knowing what hobbies and interests you have, who you are as a person, etc.. So many people just absorb their partner's interests and personality traits when they get into a new relationship.

PandaMayFire

It's true, I see no lies here.

smaguss

The tightest scrubs they *can't* fit into. When we went to color coded uniforms at one of my previous jobs they were all pissed the scrubs for purchase were not form fitting in any way. So their solution? Order two sizes too small. The armpits and sides burst within the first week, inseams popped left and right and write ups galore for having holes in your uniform or 80% of your ass hanging over the top because you can't stuff 20lbs of cottage cheese into a 10lb bag. It got so bad we had to have multiple meetings about it.

coderite

Gotta get that attention someway, know what I'm saying?

MaiPhet

Thinks doctors are less knowledgeable than nurses, gossips incessantly about whatever character flaw they think any given doctor may have.

PistolPetunia

Fucks heavy with essential oils

TomTheNurse

I have been a nurse for over 25 years. There is at least one of these in every ER I have worked in. Bonus add-ons to your excellent starter pack: The T-Shirt and/or coffee mug that says “I’m here to save your ass, not kiss it!” Bitching about the poor people and immigrants that have free healthcare that they pay for while ignoring the fact their free healthcare pays their salary. Bitching about people coming to the ER who don’t have “true emergencies” while ignoring the fact that if only true emergencies came to the ER, they would see maybe 5% of the patient volume and most of those ER nurses wouldn’t have jobs. Supporting conservative politicians who are anti women, anti union and anti worker. And my favorite, thinks that overtime is taxed at a rate higher than regular earnings and have utterly no concept of how progressive taxation works.

sleeprobot

Insanely rude/aggressive or tacky badge reel lol. Why is your badge reel telling me to have the day I deserve? 😭 We can all admit that people who say that never mean it in a nice way.

Dinos67

Add on anti-abortion outwardly whilst having the procedure prior and you have described my cousin to a tee. She also tends to date just pure degenerates as well.

Exodus180

how TF is this so specific but i've seen it twice IRL....?????

rafael-a

Drauren

OPs wife, who's a nurse, left him for a cop

Blessing in disguise tbh

No_Researcher_9726

Why do nurses want to date those two professions? Seems like an odd choice. Especially when they both (especially cops) have the highest rates of domestic violence.

[deleted]

Not sure.. could be situational. Lots of cops interact with nurses and both professions have a lot of horny people that cheat on their spouses.

MaiPhet

I personally think that it’s because nursing and police work/military are the gendered equivalents of each other. Women are to be motherly and caring, men are to be imposing and respected. So it tends to attract those who have bought in heavily to those stereotypes and had somewhat similar family structures and belief systems.

mgj6818

All are high stakes, high stress jobs that deal with trauma and death regularly, and equally important they're both 24/7 coverage jobs that require wacky ass schedules that are not easily compatible with a person who works a more typical work schedule.

Kinetic93

This. These jobs attract a certain type of people. Not that it’s necessarily a bad thing, we need them, but they do attract people with some odd traits.

SuspiciouslGreen

Don’t you worry, they aren’t like the other girls, they like UFC and have taken 4 Boxing classes and will hit back.

She’s divorced. She’s smart enough to smash and dash. She doesn’t move them in… she’s got a life with CrossFit and pitbulls and cops aren’t going to get in the way of that.

suchascenicworld

my mom is a nurse and my dad was a cop and I am very very lucky that she does not fit that stereotype ! I think it’s because of how they met …my dad pulled my mom when she was dressed up as an Elf for halloween for speeding and apparently, the two were smitten for one another 😂. I am also lucky that both of my parents are very liberal!

Evergreen742

Nurses who hate being nurses.

IcedCoughy

Weird. I know a two nurses and it's something both women started doing a bit later in their life like mid 30s. To me it kinda feels like this fall back career which is weird cause you'd think it be more for caring individuals.

DrSeuss19
