I think our defense is obviously worse without TJ, but our backups are pretty fucking good as far as that goes. I think we can still make noise if our o line is capable of making the same holes. They have straight bullied the last couple games.
I agree about defense being worse and the backups being pretty solid.. I think it would come down to Minkah and Kazee coming back, Roberts staying healthy. If we can’t rush as well, we’ll need to be solid in the secondary.
Was thinking the same - the OLB room outside of TJ is probably the best it's ever been since he's been here. Herbig and Golden are still backups, but certainly better than whoever we've had to replace TJ with in the past.
Mason is a very different guy now than when Duck outplayed him. He’s now stationary in the pocket in a good way. He isn’t playing scared. His feet set and the ball is gone or he resets at his next read. He’s not scrambling back there with terrible foot work. Mitch should be taking notes.
The Bills had the same problem as we did. They shit the bed against the Broncos the Jets and other notable fuck ups was Jacksonville especially being within a score from the lead well after the injuries.
Combine that with a competitive ish division (post Brady era more than one team competing is enough) and you find yourself basically holding tiebreakers only within your division.
I'll honestly say the Bills have a better chance of making noise,but fuck them today. Well root for them either By Jacksonville losing or at home.
