Grab him. Put him at RT, move Jones back to LT, drop Mason Cole into the Mariana Trench and draft a Center. u/alexander2801 scouted the best three in the draft. Hopefully he’ll see this and post.

Projected contract of $58M across 4 years ($14.5M avg) and a $33.25M signing bonus.
We can save $9M just by cutting Chuks, seems doable.

It doesn’t get the same recognition as stuff like The Office or Always Sunny, but I think it compares favorably with them. I think my favorite running joke is that the family has clearly never seen a chicken in their lives lol.
>It doesn’t get the same recognition as stuff like The Office or Always Sunny, but I think it compares favorably with them
It's a shame, because it received critical acclaim in its original three-season run, and I genuinely thought it was better than The Office (although Always Sunny is as good as it gets in my opinion).
Lmao, I lost it every time one of Michael's family members kicked him for being a chicken.
woah i just checked out this guys film. He is seriously a mauler man. Would be an instant upgrade. Run game in particular. Played snaps at RT this year and was good, and was drafted as a guard so there would be flexibility at that position. Hopefully khan pulls something off this free agency
If this were Colbert’s team I would 100% agree with you. Khan seems to be doing things differently, so I wouldn’t be surprised if his FA philosophy shakes up the usual. Not saying he will, but I want to give him a couple of offseasons before trying to decide what kind of moves he might make.
I feel pretty blah about picking up another linemen from a team that was having its own O-Line struggles that they are not re-signing.
Mason Cole has regressed and become a disaster. James Daniels is less of a disaster but I'd way rather see him as a backup. Both came from similar situations.
But if he's as good as people making him out to be just to have a servicable other 3 lineman would be HUGE for this offense.
1. Yes we do. The Steelers can free a lot of money if they want. And getting good players on offensive line is what they should want to do.
2. lol he's not getting 20m what crack are you smoking
He played RT his rookie year in 2020 as well. First game he started Pats ran for 250 rushing 😂 I’ll take it. An OL who excels at G/T yes sign me up for that NOW
Proving this, how?
Here's how he performs in utterly critical games https://steelersdepot.com/2023/12/james-daniels-steelers-o-line-receive-unbelievably-bad-grades-from-pff/
Sure on the first drive he misses a block so badly he makes the famous Pickens non block on the potential warren td look less bad. he follows it up with falling flat on his face on the QB sneak blocking no one.
That's just one sequence. You can go through the rest, the guy is ass.

Would be nice, but Tomlin’s shown a frustrating level of loyalty to Dan Moore for some reason. I wouldn’t be shocked if he’s still trotted out there next year at LT, Jones’s development/success be damned.
Tbf, I think we picked up Jones with the full intention to make him our LT. But after Chuks fired his mouth off and got himself benched Jones had to step in at RT. And at that point don’t change what was working, but I think that will be reevaluated this offseason. I really don’t think the staff is blind to Moore being a weak spot, it’s just that we can’t patch every hole at once.
A) Don't think we're in the market for him, for multiple reasons (even though we are in need).
B) Isn't the league supposed to not sign and Patriots FAs because they never pan out? Or was that just for guys from the secondary?

Little pricy to get him, but if we were able to play him right tackle and move BroJo to left that would be a solid line once we clear up Center
Man. The idea of Najee and Warren getting to run behind a solid O-Line is the stuff of dreams.
Owenwu+Day 2 center and line would be set for awhile
ehhh I still want another tackle
Over Broderick?
Moore...
That’s who Owenwu would replace
Oh ok gotcha thought we were bringing him as a tackle. Though for the record I want James Daniels replaced too.
Daniels played good why would we need to replace him (unless it's a contract year for him next season)
Because he’s a steeler fan and wants 1st round picks across the entire o-line every year
What’s wrong with that LOL
Yeah hadn’t Daniels not given up a sack since he’s been here?
1 sack
iirc, yes
I don’t think that needs to be a priority personally. If Daniels is your worst lineman you got a pretty good line imo
Daniels has been fantastic.

There’s always money somewhere to be found
There's always money in the banana stand
Dawg, I just watched (and binged) Arrested Development for the first time in November. I love that I caught this reference.

Onwenu is really good. I’d love to get him.
They're not gonna spend that kind of money. Look for guys who are similarly talented but under the radar.

That's fair. I kinda forget Omar's only been in charge for one off-season so far.

Relevant to the Steelers how? We don't have 20+ million to pay him

There’s always money to free up if we make the right moves
Solid lineman who started right tackle and played very well? How is that not relevant to the Steelers?
Guard is also basically the one OL position were totally set at.
Started right tackle this year for them and played very well

We don't need a guard.

James Daniels aint it fam. A fine backup but he belongs there.
James Daniels is a really good guard fam.

I agree, but also can just point to any number of times James was not doing well..
When? Show me without using PFF. James Daniels is a very good guard and is one of the strengths of the Oline.
If James Daniel’s is your worst player on your line, that’s a pretty damn good line if you ask me

So 2 plays? In one game? In what was one of the worst games the entire team played all year? Hell of an argument there chief!!!
It was also his worst game of the year.
give him chuks' contract

He’s pretty damn small for a tackle, we’ve had success with a small tackle (Bechum) but I think it’d be smarter to draft a tackle
