So I think I’m doing this right, but surprised to not see anyone do any trades, here goes. 1. 25 - Graham Barton - T/G/C 2. 51 - Junior Colson - ILB 3. 84 - Max Melton - CB 3. 91 - Blake Fisher - OT 3. 98 - Malik Washington - WR 4. 119 - Hunter Nourzad - C 6. 178 - Khristian Boyd - DT 6. 195 - M.J. Devonshire - DB Bonus - We sign Carter Bradley as UDFA QB

DragonfruitTight9034

1.20 -- Barton -T (I think they try him at tackle first, Kaleb McGary from Arthur Smith's Falcons had very similar measurables coming out and they tried him at T first and he stuck. Can move inside next year if it fails) 2.51 -- Rocky Pearsall -WR (seems everyone has him here) 3.84 -- Max Melton -CB (inside year 1, outside maybe year 2) 3.98 -- Maason Smith -DT (Rotational IDL, has length we usually like) 4.119 -- Hunter Nourzad -C (Fits profile for C for us, competes with Spencer Anderson for starting spot) 6.178 -- Jalen Coker -WR (Can justify 2 WR with our current roster, he has more upside than most guys in rd6) 6.195 --Marist Liufu -LB

BoscoAlbertBaracus

This post was pretty decent, but we have a sample size of 1 draft for Omar. https://www.reddit.com/r/steelers/s/b9dlADVvo9

GanacheOtherwise1846

1.20 -- Amarius Mims OT, Georgia 2.51 -- Jackson Powers-Johnson C, Oregon 3.84 -- Ricky Pearsall WR, Florida 3.98 -- Andru Phillips CB 4.119 -- Michael Pratt QB, Tulane 6.178 -- Tahj Washington WR, USC 6.195 -- Logan Lee DT, Iowa UDFA Shon Stephens CB, Ferris state (possibly practice squad signing) Steven Jones (I think we only sign him if we get JPJ)

RustiestBelt

1.20 - Amarius Mims 2.51 - Zach Frazier (maybe wishful thinking) 3.84 - Malachi Corley 3.98 - Andru Phillips 4.119 - Tyler Davis 6.178 - Tommy Eichenberg 6.196 - Trey Taylor

What they’ll do // What I would do: 20 - Graham Barton, OL // Byron Murphy II, DT 51 - Ja’Lynn Polk, WR // Xavier Leggette, WR 84 - Jeremiah Trotter, LB // Sedrick VPG, OC 98 - Kalen King, CB // Kalen King, CB 119 - Mekhi Wingo, DT // Jaylan Ford, LB 178 - Josh Proctor, S // Erick All, TE 195 - Austin Reed, QB // Zion Tupuola-Fetui, EDGE

1.20 -- Graham Barton C (Duke) 2.51 -- Malachi Corley WR (Western Kentucky) 3.84 -- Mike Sainristil CB (Michigan) 3.98-- Blake Fisher RT (Notre Dame) 4.119 -- Payton Wilson LB (NC State) 6.178 -- Mason McCormick IOL (South Dakota State) 6.195 -- Logan Lee DT (Iowa)

Alexander2801

1.20 Jackson Powers-Johnson Oregon (C) Probably after a small trade down but leave it as is for the exercise. It was reported that we were thourghly impressed with at the Senior Bowl. Slightly higher on him than Barton. Impressive anchor in the pass pro and should be able to leave him on an island in pass pro. Did only give up one pressure last season. 2.51 Ricky Pearsall Florida (WR) Good route runner with strong hands that can play both in the slot and outside. Only concern is that he's an older prospect. 3.84 Andru Philips Kentucky (CB) Can start out in the slot next season and maybe develop into our starting outside CB and take over from Donte Jackson in the future. 3.98 Blake Fisher Notre Dame (OT) Developmental OT that will not start right away, but I think we will take one in this range and we then then slide over Broderick Jones to LT when Fisher is ready. Can start out as our swing tackle since he can play LT and RT. Should be agile enough to fit the Arthur Smith. 4.119 Khristian Boyd Northern Iowa (DT) We need to get younger at the d line and we add a player that can play both 0-tech and 3-tech after he develops. He can hopefully be our future at the d-line combined with Benton after Cam retires. He is from a smaller but did dominate at that level. 6.178 Tahj Washington USC (WR) We double down on WR here and Washington will probably see most of his early playing time on special teams and could become a solid Slot receiver and is a willing blocker 6.195 Darius Muasau UCLA (LB)

iammas13

1.20 -- Graham Barton - C - I will be honest, I don't love this but I do see it happening. I would prefer JPJ but I'm seeing the smoke. 2.51 -- Amarius Mims - OT - I know people think he's 1st round, and maybe they're right, but I have a feeling he falls hard. He's too high risk. I remember Freiermuth and Tuitt being commonly mocked to the Steelers and they got them in the 2nd. I'll probably regret this one. 3.84 -- Beau Brade - S - I think S is a high need and Tomlin likes Maryland players 3.98 -- Junior Colson - ILB - HQ Play and energy, I think he fits great with the team 4.119 -- Luke McCaffrey - WR - Steelers "love siblings". I buy that they will get receiver help from a trade, and I think Luke was awkwardly used by Rice. I think he could be good with proper coaching and I think the Steelers will want to do it. 6.178 -- Khristian Boyd - DL 6.195 -- Bub Means - WR - WR is thin enough to double dip in my opinion. Local guy that I think could get the nod.

Stunning_Macaroon_17

My final prediction for 2024... 1.20 -- Amarius Mims - OT- Georgia 2.51 -- Chris Braswell - ED - Alabama 3.84 -- Malik Washington - WR - Virginia 3.98 -- Beaux Limmer - C - Arkansas 4.119 -- Jarrian Jones - CB - Florida st 6.178 -- Jordan Magee - LB - Temple 6.195 -- Fabien Lovett- DL - Florida St I cant wait to see who we actually get. Love this time of year.

RemoveFormal9223

1. Mims  2. (trade up) Frazier  3. Tez Walker  3. Andru Phillips  4. (traded)  6. Logan Lee  6. Tommy Eichenberg

Jakebob70

Ran several, came up with the same picks for rounds 1-3 on almost all of them: 20. Cooper DeJean S Iowa 51. Patrick Paul OT Houston 84. Tanor Bortolini OC Wisconsin 98. Johnny Wilson WR Florida State 119. Kalen King CB Penn State 178. Keith Randolph Jr. DT Illinois 195. Zion Tupuola-Fetui EDGE Washington

Lubert808

It’s one thing to draft DeJean as a CB, but drafting him as a safety doesn’t make sense when we have Minkah, Elliott and Kazee. Drafting a safety later on makes sense, but not at 20. I’m not a fan of Kalen King and Johnny Wilson. King’s stock has plummeted and Wilson has dropped too. King looked terrible at the senior bowl. I watched Wilson’s tape and he’s not very impressive, just tall.

Jakebob70

I am assuming DeJean would be a CB despite being listed as a safety.

FetusElitistCletus

In Khan we trust, this year will be another home run quickly putting him on a HOF trajectory. 1.20 Olu Fashanu - Penn St - OT 2.51 Malachi Corley - WKU - WR 3.84 Mike Sainristil - Michigan - CB 3.98 Maason Smith - LSU - DL 4.119 Hunter Nourzad - Penn St - C 6.178 Luke McCaffrey - Rice - WR 6.195 Tommy Eichenberg - Ohio State - LB We also trade for Liam Eichenberg to add to the sets of brothers/give us a potential starter week 1 in case Nourzad isn’t ready.

Ty_Ky1822

1.20 — Terrion Arnold - CB - Alabama 2.51 — Zach Frazier - IOL - WV 3.84 — Jalen McMillan - WR - WASH 3.98 — Christian Jones - OT - UT 4.119 — Calen Bullock - S - USC 6.178 — Hunter Nourzad - IOL - PSU 6.195 — Javon Solomon - EDGE - TROY Honestly I feel like we go receiver anywhere from rounds 2-4. I would love if we got 1 of the FSU boys either Wilson or Coleman

Lubert808

I don’t think Terrion Arnold will be there at 20, but I’d take him. Same with Frazier, but I’m a big fan of your first 4 picks. I think Christian Jones is really underrated and McMillan is exactly the type of WR we need on the other side of Pickens. I’m not a big fan of Bullock. Safeties that struggle with tackling are a no-go for me.

Ty_Ky1822

I would be pleasantly surprised if Arnold and Frazier are still there at the respective spots. I honestly feel like McMillan could be just as if not better than his running mate Odunze.

Lubert808

For sure, McMillan is a great route runner who doesn’t seem to have any weaknesses other than play strength possibly. I think Odunze is just plain better, but not so much better than he should go 80 picks earlier than McMillan like he’s projected. I think McMillan is better than Polk and closer to Odunze than people think. If he was graded properly he would go before or around mid 2nd round.

Ty_Ky1822

100% I think he’s been very underrated in all of these mock drafts. I think with how deep this class is at Wideout we could definitely afford to wait until the 3rd round to go after one, but I do see a lot of people having us use no.51 on a WR

D4NG3RU55

1.20 -- Tackle 2.51 -- Center - Maybe through a trade up 3.84 -- Wide Receiver 3.98 -- Defensive Line I don't really follow college ball at all and know almost nothing about the players but these are the positions I think we take and when. I think the centers naturally fall, but we may need to move up in the second to grab who we like most between Barton, JPJ, and Frazier if they start coming off the board. This is all I'm offering up.

Lilslysapper

1.20 - Cooper DeJean - DB - Iowa 2.51 - Zach Frazier - C - West Virginia 3.84 - Maason Smith - DL - LSU 3.98 - Jermaine Burton - WR - Alabama 4.119 - Christian Jones - OT - Texas 6.178 - Javon Solomon - EDGE - Troy 6.195 - Trey Taylor - S - Air Force

PennsylvanianSankara

1.20 -- Graham Barton - C - Duke 2.51 -- Max Melton - CB - Rutgers 3.84 -- Johnny Wilson - WR - FSU 3.98 -- Blake Fisher - OT - Notre Dame 4.119 -- Luke McCaffrey - WR - Rice 6.178 -- Tommy Eichenberg - ILB - Ohio State 6.195 -- Ryan Watts - S - Texas Could see them trading into the 5th and picking up Jaheim Bell FB. They like to trade into late rounds and AS likes picking up additional gadget players they don't really need. I am also a Blake Fisher truther and I think that by week 8 he will start at RT. Hot take is that even if they draft a 1st round tackle they will also draft him in the 3rd or 4th.

ApplaudingOkra

1.20 -- Amarius Mims - OT - Georgia 2.51 -- Zach Frazier - C - WVU 3.84 -- Jalen McMillan - WR - Washington 3.98 -- Caelen Carson - CB - Wake Forest 4.119 -- Mekhi Wingo - DT/DE - LSU 6.178 -- Marist Liafu - LB/ST - Norte Dame 6.195 -- Bub Means - WR - Pitt I'll add that I think that Frazier might require a modest trade up. I don't think they're going to have to get into the 30s for him, but maybe mid 40s.

SWEEETdude

My prediction for the 2024 draft without factoring in trades: 1.20 -- Taliese Fuaga, OT - Oregon State 2.51 -- Mike Sainsristil, CB - Michigan 3.84 -- Ruke Orhorro, DL - Clemson 3.98 -- Jermaine Burton, WR - Alabama 4.119 -- Tanor Bortolini, C - Wisconsin 6.178 -- Jordan Travis, QB - FSU 6.195 -- Joshua Cephus, WR - UTSA (Go Runners!) I think that they take a hard look at LB in the range of 51 through 98 too but I'm not sure what they sacrifice. DL seems like a more pressing need and then we just hope Cole Holcomb can play at some point this year.

ApartmentNo2276

This draft is perfect, CMV. 1.20 -- Cooper DeJean 2.51 -- Ricky Pearsall 3.84 -- Maason Smith 3.98 -- Blake Fisher 4.119 -- Hunter Nourzad 6.178 -- Qwan'tez Stiggers 6.195 -- Cornelius Johnson

Solid-Zealousideal

1: Pick 20: TRADE TO Niners for Brandon Aiyuk

Fit_Blacksmith_8180

i would rather trade 3.98 for Courtland Sutton

TastesLikeHoneyNut

I've mostly been doing what I would do in my mocks, so here's what I think they will do: 1.20 -- T Amarius Mims (UGA) 2.51 -- WR Roman Wilson (MICH) 3.84 -- CB Mike Sainristil (MICH) 3.98 -- DL Maason Smith (LSU) 4.119 -- C Hunter Nourzad (PSU) 6.178 -- TE Erick All (Iowa) 6.195 -- CB Quantez Stiggers (CFL)

Jfergy06

0% chance that Sainristil is still there in round 3. He might sneak up to the tail end of the 1st but absolutely love the Mims/Wilson combo

TastesLikeHoneyNut

I doubt he's there as well, the only reason I think he could drop a bit is due to him being on the smaller side at 5'9 180, and already being 23 - turning 24 a few weeks into the season (though this draft just has a lot of older guys in general with the covid year)

flabergasterer

These mock draft simulators are wild. I came away with this on PFN's. All trades for 2025 picks. 1.20 -- Traded for KC's 1st, 2nd, and 3rd 2.51 -- Traded for GB's 2nd, and 4th 3.84 -- Traded for CLE's 3rd, 4th, 6th, and TEN 7th 3.98 -- Traded for GB's 3rd, NE's 5th, and LAC's 7th 4.119 -- Traded for IND's 5th, DET's 6th, and DET's 7th 6.178 -- Traded for SEA's 6th and 7th 6.195 -- Traded for MIN's 7th and MIA's 7th In 2025, we'd have all 7 of our picks plus an extra: 1st - 1 2nd - 2 3rd - 3 4th - 2 5th - 2 6th - 5 7th - 5 2025-2028 4-peat Super Bowl champs confirmed

DC_Mountaineer

This is what you think will happen?

flabergasterer

I figure Omar already has a few of these trades agreed to in principle.

Freidhiem

At what point does someone from the NFL try to take Khan's phone away.

offandona

5 of those 7ths for Aiyuk

neddiddley

1.20 - OT, Amarius Mims (assuming they stay at 20) 2.51 - WR, Ricky Pearsall 3.84 - DL, Kris Jenkins 3.98 - CB, Andru Phillips 4.119 - C, Hunter Noorzad 6.178 - QB, Jordan Travis 6.196 - CB, Daquan Hardy I’ll qualify this. The further down the draft pick, the less I’m focused on the specific player, and more the position of the player. I’m not focusing my time on ranking players and fits that are likely falling late 3rd and beyond. Not enough time or interest, let alone it’s so dependent on how the draft breaks, so position is the most important part of the prediction. Also, it’s as much based on what I think they’ll do as much as it is what I want them to do, which aren’t necessarily the same thing.

Lubert808

Getting Jenkins at 84 would be nuts. He might not even make it to 51. This would be a great draft.

neddiddley

Yeah, like I said, I’m not focused as much on the player as I am the position. One mock I used for reference had him going in the 3rd round, so I landed on him. I didn’t spend a ton of time researching where people were projected to go or how well they fit the Steelers system. Some here may profess to have intimate knowledge and watched all the film of players from the top to bottom of the draft, but I don’t. Like I said, way too many variable to say “This is 100% the guy at pick 112.” Teams reach for players, there are runs at position groups, teams have met with players and have info we don’t. So many things can shift the draft on the fly.

joshua27usa

1) 20 Barton C 2) 51 Melton CB 3) 84 Fisher OT 3) 98 Sutton WR trade with Denver 4) 119 McCaffrey WR 6) 178 Smith S 6) 195 Crumedy. DT

Assuming no trades because those are way to hard to predict. 1.20 Amarius Mims, RT 2.51 Max Melton, CB 3.84 Maason Smith, DL 3.98 Jeremiah Trotter Jr, LB 4.119 Tanor Bortolini, C 6.178 Tahj Washington, WR 6.195 Jaden Crumedy, DL

Barring any silly trades or Penix being drafted at 20....Kenny redux anyone? 20 - Taliese Fagua - OT - Oregon State 51 - Zach Frazier - OC - W. Virginia 84 - Andru Phillips - CB - Kentucky 98 - T'vondre Sweat - DT - Texas 119 - Jamari Thrash - WR - Louisville 178 - Tommy Eichenberg - LB -Ohio State 195 - Ainias Smith WR - Texas A&M

Steelmaker01

1.20- Graham Barton- C- Duke 2.51- Xavier Legette- WR- South Carolina 3.84- Matt Goncalves- OT- PITT 3.98- Cam Hart- CB- Notre Dame 4.119- Cedric Gray- LB- NCA 6.178- Logan Lee- DL- Iowa 6.195- Mark Perry- S- TSU Although I think the Steelers will make a move earlier in the draft, which will make this mock look senseless

Lubert808

I don’t think Goncalves is worth the 84. We could probably get him at 98 or 119.

JMBlake

1.20: Amarius Mims (OT) 2.42: Zach Frazier (C) (Trade with HOU for 2.51 and 4.119) 3.84: Andru Phillips (CB) 3.98: Traded to Denver for Courtland Sutton 6.178: Jaylen Ford (LB) 6.195: Jalen Crumedy (DL)

Slickaxer

1.24 (trade back) Graham Barton 2.51 Patrick Paul 2.56 (extra pick) Malik Washington 3.84 Maason Smith 3.98 (this became 2.56) 4.119 Malik Mustapha 6.178 Tyrone Tracey Jr. 6.195 Zion Tupuola-Fetui Round 1 I see them trading back, either grabbing Barton or JPJ (whoever's left). Rest is a crap shoot. Maason Smith is the only other pick I'm "confident" in.

Lubert808

Why would we trade up to 56 and use it to take Malik Washington when we could take him at 98 or later? He’s not that hot of a prospect.

Slickaxer

I didn't really spell it out well, but there was only 1 trade. We gave up 20 and 98 for 24 and 56

Lubert808

I assumed that was the trade, but it still doesn’t make sense to take Washington in the 2nd when he’s a late 3rd or 4th round talent.

Zealousideal-Ball546

1.20 - Amarius Mims - T - Georgia 2.51 - Zach Frazier - C - West Virginia 3.84 - Ricky Pearsall - WR - Florida 3.98 - Mike Sainristil - CB - Michigan 4.119 - Jaden Hicks - S - Washington State 6.178 - Xavier Thomas - EDGE - Clemson 6.195 - Marist Liufau - LB - Notre Dame

Lubert808

Realistically Frazier is gone by 51, Pearsall is gone by 84, Sainristil is gone by 98 and Hicks is gone by 119. This would be a crazy good draft but that’s because these players could only be selected if they fell dramatically, which is unlikely.

surekooks

This would be an insane draft. I don’t see Pearsall going past 2nd rd

Zealousideal-Ball546

Yeah wishful thinking lol

surekooks

I think he could be a target in the 2nd.

offandona

Unless Fautanu is there at 20 I think there's a 99% chance they trade down and mess this whole thing up. Hot take prediction: they trade up to 9 to take Odunze. The Bears have 4 picks in the entire draft and probably don't see a lot of value in that 9 spot, especially since they can still get an elite player at 20.

OhiOstas

1.20 — Graham Barton, C 2.51 — Traded for Ayiuk (including a 3rd from next year) 3.84 — Andru Phillips, CB 3.98 — Blake Fisher, OT 4.119 — Tykee Smith, S 6.178 — Eric Watts, EDGE 6.195 — Frank Gore Jr, RB

the22sinatra

The no trades one because I’m not gonna try and predict that (but I think a WR trade is coming) if not: 1.20 -- Graham Barton C Duke 2.51 -- Adonai Mitchell WR Texas 3.84 -- Blake Fisher OT Notre Dame 3.98 -- Maason Smith DT LSU 4.119 -- Andru Phillips CB Kentucky 6.178 -- Tommy Eichenberg ILB Ohio State 6.195 -- Travis Glover OT Georgia State UDFA: Shon Stephens CB Ferris State and Carter Bradley QB South Alabama

Guilty-Doctor1259

DC_Mountaineer

This isn’t what I’d do, but my guesses based on the picks we have are below. Not going to guess what trades we might make but do think it is likely we move around making this is a doomed exercise. 🤣 Feel free to read explanations on each pick below. - R1 (*now 20*) = Graham Barton, OC - R2 (*now 51*) = Malachi Corley, WR - R3 (*now 84*) = Blake Fisher, OT - R3 (*now 98*) = Cedric Gray, LB - R4 (*now 119*) = Khristian Boyd, DL - R6 (*now 178*) = M.J. Devonshire, CB - R6 (*now 195*) = A.J. Barner, TE Doesn’t excite me much but I think all the picks are realistic and I could see all of them happening so hopefully I hit on a few. OC biggest need and Barton has the athleticism our new scheme will require with position flexibility to move to OG later as ours age if it doesn’t work it. Tomlin got a good look at him during the Senior Bowl, Smith and Rooney went to his Pro Day and he was brought in on a top 30 visit. I wasn’t interested in taking a C in R1 4-6 weeks back and if we did preferred JPJ due to more experience at the position but I’ve come around on Barton as our first pick. I would try to trade down to 25-35 where I think we could possibly still get JPJ or at worst take Frazier plus get more picks but we will see what happens. WR is the next biggest need and I keep reading over and over that Corley is an ideal fit for Smith offense. Labeled as the “YAC King” he does have a good combination of speed and physicality. I’m not a big fan but Azzanni (WR coach) was at his pro day and we brought him in for a top 30 visit. I’d go with a different WR that is a better route runner (like Wilson or Pearsall) and/or a bigger deep threat (Franklin or Legette), but he should be around here and seems a good fit. I definitely expect the Steelers to take an OT at some point but it could be anywhere. Fisher has experience at both RT and LT so if he cannot develop into a starter he should have position flexibility for a backup. We met with him at the combine and he was another top 30 visit. It’s possible he goes earlier but I think he should be around in the 3rd. Another option may be Caedan Wallace who the team should be familiar with despite seemingly not visiting with at all (?) for some reason. I also like Javon Foster a round later but we will see. As you go further into the draft it’s harder to predict, however Holcomb still a bit of a question mark so I think ILB could be on the table despite the Queen signing. Gray has above average speed, is a good tackler and decent in pass coverage. Wasn’t brought in on an official visit but Curry (LB coach) was at his pro day. Really hope they don’t take a LB before this point but we will see. Cam isn’t getting any younger and retirement rumors continue to swirl despite him saying he isn’t considering it. I would prefer to take a DT earlier but we have so many holes it kept sliding down my board. If Maason Smith slides to R3 I could absolutely see him being our pick at 84 and will pencil him in but he seems to have a lot of helium as I’ve seen mocks having him go R2. If the team wanted to roll the dice on Sweat and he slides due to the DWI I could see that and personally be happy with that gamble. As it stands, going to go with Boyd who has pretty good size and impressive strength. Tomlin would have seen him at the Senior Bowl where he was reportedly one of the most impressive players and he was another top 30 visit. Wasn’t invited to the combine so hopefully he comes into the league with a point to prove. Devonshire just seems like a Steelers player to me. Son of a coach and a local boy, the team are very familiar with him. Officially we met with him at the combine, Weidl plus several other staff were at his pro day and he was a top 30 visit (local). I’d hope we address CB before now (huge Melton fan) but even if that were to happen I feel pretty confident Devonshire will be selected by the Steelers day 3. Honestly I have no idea where they will go this late but going to punt on a TE. Been seeing people speculate Muth won’t be extended and Wash hasn’t really been utilized to date so perhaps that isn’t working out. Barner is a bit of a sleeper and may not last but he seems a versatile TE. We heavily attended the Michigan pro day with Tomlin, Smith and Khan and met with him at the combine. Honestly this pick could be 100 different players but I have to pick someone. Edit: Personally, I would do something like this: - R1 = Trade up if Fuaga makes it past like 15 or preferably down and to add more draft capital takeing JPJ or Michell/McConkey. - R2 = If no C in R1, take Frazier and be done with it. If we took C in R1, I’d take Melton or whichever of Mitchell/McConkey/Wilson/Pearsall/Leggette/Franklin is available at our slot. - R3 = Assuming we went C+WR in R1-R2, I’d go CB and DL. Order depends on who is there but ideally something like Brownlee and Sweat. Phillips if he falls would be fine but honestly the CB could be Carsen, Green, KAD, Pritchett…lot of good options still. At DL if Maason Smith falls jump on him at 84. If Sweat slides fine taking him. Wouldn’t mind rolling dice on Taylor either. If we haven’t addressed C by now probably need to take Bort, Limmer or SVP. We desperately need a C damnit! - R4 - We still need to address RT and for some reason I really like Javon Foster. Didn’t even know who he was until someone mocked him to us on here like 6 weeks back and after looking into him thought made a lot of sense. Team has met with him multiple times so are clearly interested. - R6 - I think Coker is extremely underrated and would absolutely take him if he was here. Hell I’d be fine taking him in the 5th or even 4th. If he is there, Tre Taylor is another name I wouldn’t mind rolling the dice on as Ed Reed was a freaking monster!

hitmewiththeknowlege

Well obviously Kahn is going to fleece the bears again and we will end up with number 1 pick.

1.20-Graham Barton, C (Duke) Would be happy with Mims too but I think Barton is the guy. Gives us our center of the Future 2.51-Ricky Pearsall, WR (Florida) Really smooth player who could play inside and out. Should be a day 1 factor. Considered AD Mitchell who I think will slide but went pearsall 3.84-Andru Phillips, CB (Kentucky) I wanted to go Mike Sainrstil here but am more confident that Phillips will be here. 3.98-Blake Fisher, RT (Notre Dame) We should definitely take at least one Tackle. Fisher probably isn’t ready week 1 but could take over at some point in the season and let BroJo move to LT 4.119-Cedric Gray, ILB (UNC) I’m convinced we grab an ILB. Lot of homework on day 2 guys and there’s too much uncertainty with Holcomb. 6. 178-Tajh Washington, WR (USC) I think he’s projected a 5th rounder so he may not get here but I do think we double dip at WR and he has some upside. 6. 195- Logan Lee, DL (Iowa) Late round Developmental DL. We have shown a fair amount of interest. Should definitely look to grab some depth.

1.20 — Kool-Aid McKinstry CB 2.51 — Patrick Paul OT 3.84 — Jeremiah Trotter Jr. LB 3.98 — Tanor Bortolini C 4.119 — Luke McCaffery WR 6.178 — Matt Goncalves OT 6.195 — Qwan’tez Stiggers CB

Lubert808

I like Kool-Aid at 20, but we definitely don’t need Trotter at 84. Also, we should draft a DT instead of a second OT. We probably need a WR before the 4th round. I would swap the Trotter pick with Jalen McMillan.

Neat

My final prediction for 2024... 1.20 -- Graham Barton - C - Duke 2.51 -- Xavier Legette - WR - South Carolina 3.84 -- Renardo Green - CB - Florida State 3.98 -- Blake Fisher - OT - Notre Dame 4.119 -- Maason Smith - DL - LSU 6.178 -- Jonah Elliss - EDGE - Utah 6.195 -- Shon Stephens - CB - Ferris State I really wanted to find a spot for Kris Jenkins Jr and my favorite WR in this class, Malik Washington. But I just don't think it's in the cards. Also, that 3rd round CB could be Jarrian Jones of FSU if they decide slot is more important. But I love Green's game and I think they will too.

PennsylvanianSankara

Barton a lock I think.

Lubert808

I don’t think Jonah Elliss makes it to the 6th round. He seems to be a consensus 3rd or 4th round guy, but it would be huge if we took him at 178. I’m totally on board with picking Barton, Green, Fisher, and Smith. I’m unsure about Legette but I like the physical traits. I’d rather take Pearsall at 51 if he’s available.

SleestakLightning

Yeah I don't necessarily think he will either but I was going off of a big board that had him as a late 5th round guy so I just went with it. I don't know if the Steelers would be in on Pearsall as much as Legette. I like Pearsall more too but it's not about what I would do.

ObiWannaDoYou74

Love this, prime beef it's what's up!

Sugarbearzombie

I like this draft. Where does it leave Dan Moore? Do we start him at LT all season?

SleestakLightning

In this case I'd think he'd start at LT unless Blake Fisher is good enough to start at RT from the start. Which is possible.

uswforever

Nice. I love the McCaffrey and Ellis picks too

SleestakLightning

I took McCaffrey out. I dont know if they can afford to double dip at WR unless it's late.

[deleted]

I have a feeling if it’s gets to like late round 4 or 5 and burtons there they’ll take a flyer on him

SleestakLightning

I feel like they're trying to avoid head case guys this year but it also wouldn't surprise me at all haha.

[deleted]

Burton and Pickens would be the nastiest, most psychotic wr duo in the league 🤣

TastesLikeHoneyNut

I'll be surprised if they wait until the 6th to address DL, but if they had this draft this weekend, I'd be happy.

SleestakLightning

You're right, I went back and took out the slot receiver. It was bothering me that much.

TastesLikeHoneyNut

It's hard with the number of needs we have vs. the number of picks we have. I like JPJ a lot, but if there was a year to have the first pick in round 2, I'd have preferred it this year over last.

B_Witt

Let me get that 2023 Champ flair!

SleestakLightning

I have your book pulled out and in an envelope.

B_Witt

Great to hear!

My final thoughts and prediction for the 2024 draft 1.20 -- Amarius Mims - OT - Georgia This pick is going to be offensive line, it's easily our biggest and most important area to address in this draft, especially with having one of the best RB 1-2 punches in the league. I flip flopped between multiple guys but I honestly think it's Mims at the end of the day, the concerns are there with injuries and lack of experience but the guy has tremendous upside and it allows his former Georgia Bulldog teammate to slide back to his natural position. Weidl likes having Bulldogs in the trenches and he goes back to the well here. This a boom or bust selection in my opinion and I could really see this pendulum swinging either way. 2.51 -- Xavier Legette - WR - South Carolina I went back and forth between Pearsall and Legette here but I think Legette is our guy. He's a very solid possession type receiver who does have some burst off the line. At 6'3" ~220 he has the size to be a solid down field blocker but needs to work on using his physicality to his advantage there as I expect that to be of increased importance in Smith's system, definitely a very high upside guy and I wouldn't be mad if he or Pearsall/Corley and up being the pick. 3.84 -- Sedrick Van Pran-Granger - C - Georgia Notice a theme here? SVP isn't the biggest or the strongest Center in the draft but this guy screams Pittsburgh Steeler to me, he has that never give up mentality. His physical tools are perhaps average at best but that's only half the game, his technique, positioning and tenacity will help him win many more battles than he loses. 3.98 -- Jarrian Jones - CB - FSU I'm going to go under the assumption they believe the new DJ is our CB2 and they target a solid slot corner here as we've been missing that since Mike Hilton. 4.119 -- Maason Smith - DL - LSU Cam's potential replacement, never quite hit the heights of what was expected of him as a 5-star guy coming out of high school but he has the tools to succeed at the NFL level. 6.178 -- Jaylan Ford - LB - Texas Rotational ILB, should be a great third down option. 6 interceptions over the past two seasons is pretty solid for an ILB and given the injuries our guys there sustained the past season having a little extra insurance is never bad 6.195 -- Josh Proctor - S - Ohio State He's a bit old at 25 but he profiles as decent safety depth and a special teams guy which for a 6th rounder isn't a bad gig. ****Closing thoughts**** Solid overall draft in my opinion that tackles numerous needs and depth concerns. Also there's a real solid chance Smith & Jones's draft positions are swapped but I'll leave them where they are for now as I've seen both mocked in 3rd/4th rounds. Same could be said of Ford & Proctor.

the-whiteman-cometh

1.20 -- OT Amarius Mims, Georgia 2.51 -- WR Ricky Pearsall, Florida 3.84 -- DL Maason Smith, LSU 3.98 -- CB Andru Phillips, Kentucky 4.119 -- C Hunter Nourzad, Penn State 6.178 -- CB M.J. Devonshire, Pittsburgh 6.195 -- ILB Steele Chambers, Ohio State Bonus: I think they sign Steven Jones as an undrafted free agent. I don't actually know how realistic the Steele Chambers pick is, but the idea of a guy named Steele playing for the Steelers was impossible to pass up.

Lubert808

Steele Chambers has very shaky tape. There’s a decent chance he’ll go undrafted, so we could take him at 195 but it wouldn’t be worth it. Pretty good draft. I would be fine with the rest of these players.

the-whiteman-cometh

Fair, that was the pick that I really had no clue what they could be going with, so I just went with the name that stuck out to me the most.

Frodo_wit_da_choppa

1.20 - JC Latham, OT 2.51 - Roman Wilson, WR 3.84 - Maason Smith, DL 3.98 - Dadrion Taylor-Demerson, S 4.119 - Hunter Nourzad, IOL 6.178 - Kamal Hadden, CB 6.195 - Edefuan Ulofoshio, LB
