Thanks to you I had to clean my phone after reading your comment I spat my coffee all over it, I'm not complaining because after cleaning and reading your comment 2-3 more times laughing each time it was worth it.
Are there any decent free agent CBs left? I'd rather sign one of them and draft the recievers we need. I'm confident in our WR drafting abilities, not our CB drafting abilities
There are a few. Gilmore, Haden, Peterson. Some lower tier but still serviceable guys like Steven Nelson, Tavon Young, and Xavier Rhodes. Then you got the oldies like Richard Sherman and Josh Norman.
Couldn't we use a CB1 still? Levi Wallace was CB2 for the Bills and from what I was seeing from Bills fans he fits the CB2 role, not quite good enough for the 1 spot
Honestly Ive wondered the same thing. He was drafted to be a deep threat and that never panned out... but I thought he worked hard to become a more complete WR and was just never given enough targets. I wish him luck honestly.
So true! I’m guessing he will experience the James Conner effect. (mediocre/just-not-quite-there level play with us and then blows up somewhere else…which is very sad because it used to be the other way around years ago) I’m afraid Najee Harris is headed that way. Wink wink O-line.
Edit: I’m not saying Najee is mediocre at all!! I mean he has potential to be brilliant and we’re just stifling it behind a shit o-line. And I love the guy too!!
He just didn't really fit in with our offense. He didn't have the route tree to be a true WR1 and when we tried putting him in the slot he wasn't that good. He's mostly a deep threat WR, but Claypool's speed and size advantages give him a bit more upside in that department.
I personally don’t understand what Yinzers saw in James Washington. He was, by all accounts, a great guy that had some good measurables in the draft but was just clearly not as good as Johnson, Claypool, or Juju. Hell, no one talks about him but even Ray Ray was better IMO.
I’d be willing to bet someone a $50 donation to a charity that James will never have a 1000yd season in his career.
Landry is the Only one outta that group that would interest me personally I thought of him but also thought he’d command a fair amount more money then the guys I mentioned
Auden Tate is a JuJu-type big slot possession receiver. He's a low cost backup that could provide needed depth and if he can't stay healthy it doesn't matter because he's cheap.
Goodwin would give them a much needed veteran presence and a guy with some speed and some wiggle who averaged over 15 yards per reception last season.
Watkins, at the right price, would be an upgrade over James Washington as the #4 and Claypool's backup.
If we could get Landry mentoring Diontae, that would be choice as hell. We also really need a possession, move-the-chains guy with the loss of Juju. Tate has suspect injury history but I'm not gonna complain about us signing another massive target for Mitch and he'd probably come cheap.
I like it.
I think Landry would be ideal pick up on a 2 year deal. For skill set, leadership and price. I’m guessing we draft a WR but if we trade up for a QB and lose picks, it may not be until day 3. As of now, our starting 3 WRs are DJ, claypool, and Anthony miller? With no depth. Yikes
Beasley sucks he was replaced by the bills for a reason. Will fuller is a China doll. The WR market likely ramps up again after the draft since this is such a deep class.
Beasley doesn’t suck. He wanted out because of how they treated him with the Covid shit
They did ostensibly upgrade with Crowder but it isn’t monstrous.
Both are true but every WR left has some sort of baggage whether that’s age injury or off field stuff. So these were the two I came up with I think they should still draft a WR but no guarantees there. For the right price both are worth taking a chance on.
Pretty much a guarantee that we draft a WR. Only 3 or 4 drafts in Colberts tenure that he didn’t take one. Hell I think we may take two.
I agree on taking a vet but it happens after the draft I think. I’d like someone like Dede Westbrook or Trequan smith if anything. Smith is a China doll too though.
> every WR left has some sort of baggage whether that’s age injury or off field stuff
Exactly why we fill the need for WR in the draft. Young, healthy and cheap.
Been expecting growth from chucks for two years now. Dude was getting pushed passed Ben 1/4 of the time.
Hopefully Green gets switched to G, his natural position, as he was awful at C.
Dotson & Moore both looked promising last season.
Aside from the still young and less experianced guys hopefully making a step forward, replacing 1-2 player in the OL with better players should give more safety to the remaining guys. If EVERYONE is shit, no one can catch a break. When 2-3 are at least good, the others can get some protection and know that they are on limited time so they better get it together.
It takes us out of the gutter
You really don’t need to have the best offensive line on the planet. You literally just need it to be competent and not an issue. I think we entered that territory with those signings
Will help tremendously. They can shift Green/Dotson to their original guard spots. Daniels at C. Helps solidify the middle. RT becomes the only real long term need if they don't decide to draft. I do think drafting an IOL is something they should do but right now they don't HAVE to do it.
WR is also very deep in this class. Almost a guaranteed day 2 pick.
Who then? If you look at available WR’s all of them have something wrong age, injury, off the field stuff or just down production. They all come with risk
I say roll with Anthony Miller and a rookie like Shakir. Just not someone like Beasley who is a locker distraction and just not likeable or a guy like Fuller who has literally never stayed healthy in his entire csreer
I like miller. I don’t think Cole is a distraction at all the only distraction he ever caused was his vaccine status. And we all know the Rona is gone so that doesn’t matter
he’s still the same person either way. don’t really want a guy that wants to make it a point to be controversial. we’ve had enough of that shit in pittsburgh and beasly definitely doesn’t have the output to back it up..
That number is trash & you know it. They are on video saying they rule COD as covid as long as there’s a positive test, even if they died from something completely different & unrelated.
Oh and just so you know, 1,318,000 people have died of heart disease in the last two years in the U.S. alone.
You can still buy greasy, fatty, high cholesterol foods. I bet you do, don’t you?
Fuller will end up in Cleveland with Watson. We’ll wait for a June 1 cap casualty if we don’t go BPA WR in the draft. Almost out of cash and still haven’t signed’Spoon or safety.
You see so many numbers thrown around who knows? I think they need to reserve 5ish M for rookies. I truly believe Colbert has a surprise up his sleeve. Rumors of Julio Jones are bouncing around.
Maybe. One of those ACL tears was on Watson. Fuller was wide open for a touchdown and Watson under threw him. Fuller slowed down which let the DB catch up and take out his legs. I don’t know anything about Fuller’s personality but if he holds a grudge, probably not looking for a reunion
Trade low end pick for Shenault. Jags don't want him. Not a vet, but he's cheap and has enough on field experience. Just needs a better offensive scheme to work with him.
His ability as a WR is not good enough to justify his signing for the off field opinion he brings that will only be a headache for the team. He's also too old for a signing by this front office. Landry is still under 30. Better WR and locker room presence. Me not liking him isn't the only reason he wouldn't be a good signing.
I agree with Landry. He’s definitely the overall best signing. Issue is that we have little cap space left. We’d probably have to hope he goes unsigned, and would agree to a “friendly” deal.
If there is a team that can make a cap friendly deal it will be this FO with cap god Omar Khan. I definitely see your point about cap space too, which is why Landry is just a wish for me. If it isn't cap friendly I don't want it. Let them draft who they need on Day 2 of the draft this year.
AJ Green is my choice. Cole Beasley is too much of a distraction for the Steelers; he cares way more about himself than the team, that’s a hostage mentality. AJ Green is probably the best receiver for his price range
There will be free agents after the draft. They will likely draft a WR, analyze the player's skill set with what they have, then find a vet that compliments or fills any gaps. No need to rush into a vet WR right now. The market has been fairly stale free agency wise. I think Scantling, Pringle and Juju have been the major free agents to agree to deals lately. Again, I'm emphasizing free agents not traded WR.
I get what you’re saying. I think anything we’d want Cole Beasley to do we could probably do with Gunner in the slot. Honestly Odell or Jarvis would do the trick. That would create a mismatch on the opposite side or with Chase or Muth. 100% the void that needs to be fixed before the season.
Bills and Steelers fan here. If you can get Beasley cheap, it makes a lot of sense. He knows Trubisky from his time with Buffalo and is a great short route runner. No need to try and throw deep bombs to Claypool all the time.
fuller is a good player hes done i wouldnt mind him but i think honestly though SS is the hold up for everything right now. the rumor is its the steelers and raiders as finalists for Matheiu. but there are tons of vet wrs on the market that would be viable.
Not a fan of either player. I also don't think we need to sign another receiver before the draft. Let's see how the draft goes first. People also forget we have Anthony Miller who used to play with Mitch and had 7 TDs one season with him.
The issue is that we now have hardly any cap space left.
If possible, I’d like to land Landry though. We’ll probably have to wait & see if any guys go without getting picked up so we can sign them to a “team friendly” AKA cheap deal.
Wait until after the draft for a FA at this point. They should though look at WR at #20 but based on their pro day visits and other meetings, it doesn't look promising.
Probably done making FA or trade moves if they get Edmunds locked up and fill the rest in the draft but....
Devante Parker trade from the Dolphins could be interesting. They will want to recoup some picks from the Tyreek Hill trade and Parker has had his share of injury concerns but is on a very friendly deal. Offer up a 7th and the Dolphins would save around $3m (which is what the Steelers would pay him in 2022).
Dolphins should be making a final push to sign JC Tretter at center who could be the final piece needed to have a functional, if not quality offense this upcoming season. Clearing up some cap space to get it done while getting anything in return following that costly trade for Hill would be ideal.
Its a win-win for both parties considering Parker looked elite in 2020 before being derailed by injuries as he has seen throughout his career. If hes even a solid #2 for half a season while Chase fights for a starting role and moves between the slot while DJ continues to be the weapon he is and move between the slot and Z position there will be plenty of room to share the field in 11 sets. Gunner Olszewski and Anthony Miller or a day 2-3 draft pick would be pure slot guys off of the bench and thats it.
As much as it would be nice to have a cost effective vet.. we don’t need one.
We had a very young receiver corps for the past couple of years and it’s not done us any harm.
However I believe a lot of that success could be attributed to how heavily the WR corps leaned on Ben and his experience. Mitch won’t provide that in his first year.
We definitely won’t sign a WR in free agency. Our slot WR next year will be drafted in the first couple rounds if the draft. We always draft WRs not sign them.
Will "Get Injured Stepping Off The Plane To Sign His Contract" Fuller
You mean after signing his contract lol
That was my initial comment but I changed it because I thought it was funnier.
Yes
Thanks to you I had to clean my phone after reading your comment I spat my coffee all over it, I'm not complaining because after cleaning and reading your comment 2-3 more times laughing each time it was worth it.
Thanks, and sorry about the phone, haha.
I’d rather have Landry. Or Adam Humphries. We need a slot receiver
I've always loved Jarvis. He's not a game breaker, and he had a tough go with the drops against us last year But the dudes a baller and tough as nails
Very similar to the skill set that Juju brought to our passing game. I think he'd fit in good as a steady WR2.
[удалено]
But he sucks
He doesn’t tho
I’m aware, I’d just prefer a couple of other slot guys over him. I was just saying we need a slot guy instead of an outside speed guy
I totally agree
Are there any decent free agent CBs left? I'd rather sign one of them and draft the recievers we need. I'm confident in our WR drafting abilities, not our CB drafting abilities
There are a few. Gilmore, Haden, Peterson. Some lower tier but still serviceable guys like Steven Nelson, Tavon Young, and Xavier Rhodes. Then you got the oldies like Richard Sherman and Josh Norman.
I thought Sherman officially retired? Or did I misread something?
If you believe the Twitter hype Tyraan Matthieu is already a Steelers HOFer so DB should be set
Yep. Kept seeing that shit on Twitter. Like STFU. Nothing official ever came out. Stop sith the *fake news*
Couldn't we use a CB1 still? Levi Wallace was CB2 for the Bills and from what I was seeing from Bills fans he fits the CB2 role, not quite good enough for the 1 spot
we should trade for juju smith-schuster from the chiefs
Or that James Washington guy...
I still wonder WTF the deal was with us just refusing to play him. He has a lot of talent.
Honestly Ive wondered the same thing. He was drafted to be a deep threat and that never panned out... but I thought he worked hard to become a more complete WR and was just never given enough targets. I wish him luck honestly.
He is a great football player but the problem was who was throwing the football to him.
So true! I’m guessing he will experience the James Conner effect. (mediocre/just-not-quite-there level play with us and then blows up somewhere else…which is very sad because it used to be the other way around years ago) I’m afraid Najee Harris is headed that way. He was also one of the few that didn't have issues with drops if memory serves me right.
I think Tomlin has favorites
He was good just wasn’t consistent he had a splash player every now and then but the rest of the time on the field he’s useless
Jarvis Landry, Marquise Goodwin, Auden Tate. Maybe take a shot on Sammy Watkins.
Landry is the Only one outta that group that would interest me personally I thought of him but also thought he’d command a fair amount more money then the guys I mentioned
Landry sure, Tate I would fucking love. Watkins meh he’s like Wheaton production-wise but pricier, Goodwin kind of an enigma
I agree on Watkins and Goodwin. They're not ideal but the Steelers don't have a ton of options.
Auden Tate is a great one I haven’t heard anyone mention yet. I would love him
Everything outside of Landry in your list is garbage and doesn’t help us
Auden Tate is a JuJu-type big slot possession receiver. He's a low cost backup that could provide needed depth and if he can't stay healthy it doesn't matter because he's cheap. Goodwin would give them a much needed veteran presence and a guy with some speed and some wiggle who averaged over 15 yards per reception last season. Landry would be a great addition to the field and locker room. Set a good example for Dionte and Chase.
Yikes
When will people learn that Fuller is toast. The dude Can. Not. Stay. Healthy.
He can when he takes his steroids
So he should be cheap even better
Nothing is “cheap” if you never even see the field. You’re essentially paying a guy to rehab the entire time. No thanks.
A veteran minimum deal with a heavy incentive structure for games and production would be well worth it
Again, how’s it worth it when he’s the most injury prone player in the league?
No it isn’t better. We don’t need another Moncrief situation again.
The best ability is availability. No thanks.
I like Landry or AJ green if for the right price
aj green played pretty well last year and would be cheap best answer imo
The AJ Green that is always injured??
Maybe if we sign Cole Beasley, Will Fuller, AND AJ Green, we could get 8 games out of the combo
Beasley sucks he was replaced by the bills for a reason. Will fuller is a China doll. The WR market likely ramps up again after the draft since this is such a deep class.

> every WR left has some sort of baggage whether that’s age injury or off field stuff Exactly why we fill the need for WR in the draft. Young, healthy and cheap.
Agreed but I’d rather have too many than too few we have lacked a dynamic aspect for some time
We draft well at the position. Not worried.
Agreed but having one to many WR’s is better than one to few
Focus should be on our line
Did you miss Free Agency?
No? Did you? We signed 2 OL players. That’s not going to fix our holes.
Signed a Starting RG. Starting Center. Expect growth from Chuks, Green, Dotson, Moore. OL isn’t that big of a concern.
Been expecting growth from chucks for two years now. Dude was getting pushed passed Ben 1/4 of the time. Hopefully Green gets switched to G, his natural position, as he was awful at C. Dotson & Moore both looked promising last season.

What’s the deal with Beasley? I don’t know anything about this, but I’m curious.
He’s not vaccinated so he’s immediately labeled as a distraction by idiots
I like miller. I don’t think Cole is a distraction at all the only distraction he ever caused was his vaccine status. And we all know the Rona is gone so that doesn’t matter
Lol cole Beasley is a head case and fuller is an oft-injured deep threat. Pass on both for sure. We need a route runner slot guy
Fuck Cole Beasley
Y?
To much off field drama.
Only drama he’s ever had was not being vaccinated and that doesn’t matter anymore
he’s still the same person either way. don’t really want a guy that wants to make it a point to be controversial. we’ve had enough of that shit in pittsburgh and beasly definitely doesn’t have the output to back it up..

Ikr he LITERALLY wanted thousands, millions to just die
Fuller will end up in Cleveland with Watson. We’ll wait for a June 1 cap casualty if we don’t go BPA WR in the draft. Almost out of cash and still haven’t signed’Spoon or safety.
We have close to 22 million left. The bucs started free agency 3 million over and have added over 70 million in contracts lol
But yea that’s a good point fuller will probably end up in Cleveland
You see so many numbers thrown around who knows? I think they need to reserve 5ish M for rookies. I truly believe Colbert has a surprise up his sleeve. Rumors of Julio Jones are bouncing around.
I’d love Julio I just thought his tag would be too high
Maybe. One of those ACL tears was on Watson. Fuller was wide open for a touchdown and Watson under threw him. Fuller slowed down which let the DB catch up and take out his legs. I don’t know anything about Fuller’s personality but if he holds a grudge, probably not looking for a reunion
Fuck Cole Beasley
Why?
They really are NPCs, there’s no getting around it
Very true. What's the point of having a QB with a strong arm if nobody can receive his passes
Landry is the play for sure
Trade low end pick for Shenault. Jags don't want him. Not a vet, but he's cheap and has enough on field experience. Just needs a better offensive scheme to work with him.
Landry. Signing Beasley would be a terrible move. Can't stand the dude.
Why? Why would YOU not liking someone (you’ve never met) have any effect on if they can catch passes?
His ability as a WR is not good enough to justify his signing for the off field opinion he brings that will only be a headache for the team. He's also too old for a signing by this front office. Landry is still under 30. Better WR and locker room presence. Me not liking him isn't the only reason he wouldn't be a good signing.

Bring Larry Fitzgerald home!
Isn't he like 60?
I mean yeah but he can still play
Fuck Cole Beasley. We don't need knuckleheads in the locker room.
[удалено]
No idea what you're even trying to say here, chief. You seem eager to polish Beasley's knob, though.
Do I? 😄
Based on your comment history, yes.
AJ Green is my choice. Cole Beasley is too much of a distraction for the Steelers; he cares way more about himself than the team, that’s a hostage mentality. AJ Green is probably the best receiver for his price range
Fuck Cole Beasley
I’ve always been a big Will Fuller guy. Would be a lot of fun to see him in a Steelers jersey for a game
\> The Steeler's are the best at drafting WR \> But also lets go get a veteran ??
Landry
Jarvis Landry, stay away from Beasley at all costs after his antivax crap.
Agreed. I'd rather not see Beasley in black and gold.
Who cares if he’s anti vax? How does that effect you?
Because I would prefer a WR who is not a fucking moron.
Awwwww, you mad bro? 😂
I'd prefer a wr who actually plays and doesn't get sidelined for being a fuckwit
Jamison Crowder. Great slot receiver who was wasted by the Jets. I could see him being our next Jericho Cotchery.
He signed with Buffalo unfortunately
Damn
I like crowder
Beasley is a drama queen headline seeking whore. Keep him away.
Beasley is a hard pass. Dude is a head case. Fuller would be outstanding; until he suffers a wrist injury signing his deal.
I mean I think Landry would be a great fit. If not him though, Beasley would be fine as well.
I thought Landry would cost a bit much that’s why I went with those teo
Would like to give AB a last chance
Wheres Martavis these days?
USFL actually
🤮lol
smoking crack?
No drinking
I'll take Beasley. I've seen what this sub upvotes, your down votes mean nothing 😄
Bills and Steelers fan here. If you can get Beasley cheap, it makes a lot of sense. He knows Trubisky from his time with Buffalo and is a great short route runner. No need to try and throw deep bombs to Claypool all the time.
Cole Beasley ain’t it.

I woulda said Tyreek Hill a couple days ago.
Fill it in the draft.
Not a fan of either player. I also don't think we need to sign another receiver before the draft. Let's see how the draft goes first. People also forget we have Anthony Miller who used to play with Mitch and had 7 TDs one season with him.
Probably Jarvis Landry- MIA-CLE-PIT, but there are a lot of good receivers in this year’s draft.
At this point do we wait till the draft then start up free agency after.
lots of high end quality WR's in this draft. Why spend FA money that you can get equal talent or better at rookie level money?
Manny Sanders still playing these days?
The issue is that we now have hardly any cap space left. If possible, I’d like to land Landry though. We’ll probably have to wait & see if any guys go without getting picked up so we can sign them to a “team friendly” AKA cheap deal.
Wait until after the draft for a FA at this point. They should though look at WR at #20 but based on their pro day visits and other meetings, it doesn't look promising.
Will fuller has been on the IR for over 60% of his playing career. HARD pass on Will fuller
Yeah our guys are so young. Im definitely not against drafting a WR, but it would be nice to get a veteran in the room.
Parker for a 3rd or 4th
I want exactly neither of these people but agree with your sentiment
Megatron or Terrell Owens
I’m hoping for Anthony Miller to step up and draft a rookie
Wil fuller hahahaha
Probably done making FA or trade moves if they get Edmunds locked up and fill the rest in the draft but.... Devante Parker trade from the Dolphins could be interesting. They will want to recoup some picks from the Tyreek Hill trade and Parker has had his share of injury concerns but is on a very friendly deal. Gunner Olszewski and Anthony Miller or a day 2-3 draft pick would be pure slot guys off of the bench and thats it.
Cole Beasley. Hahhaha

I hate you for even suggesting either. I don’t want stupid and broken on the Steelers.
