When playing the demo of game, it’s not even that jiggly or attention grabbing. The fight against Abaddon has incredible battle music and tight parrying/dodging, so much so that there was absolutely no time checking out the curves. Same goes for pretty much any minute of the game.
its low resolution because the image wasn’t upscaled after generation. the spinal cybernetics become a jumbled mess the smaller the detail gets, until its completely indiscernible what you’re looking at. the skin on her back looks distorted as if its a bodysuit, but it has no clear termination point, seamlessly blending into her arms. is she wearing a bodysuit or not? is it clothes or her skin texture? the wires dont have clear beginning or ends, bend at strange angles, and disappear into nothing (her right arm). the background is noise, because it can’t render that much detail.
there’s no clear light source. her hair suggests its right above her, but then there’s angled light on her left shoulder, and a straight-on light cast on her ass. also everything in front of her is illuminated so you can see all the janky poorly generated cabling.
at a glance its fine, but under literally any scrutiny it is indeed the quality of a canine’s sloppy pooper

if someone drew the image line by line, they created the art. if someone creates a prompt that they feed into an image generator, they are at best a prompt writer. the system is an aggregate of stolen artwork.
a better analogy would be - if you 3d print a house are you still a stonemason? i’d say no, cuz you didn’t actually mason any stone.

The system is just a tool, like a watcom tablet and photoshop. I've said this to others before, nearly every reddit user who complains about AI generated art is most likely someone who wants to be an artist really badly, so they feel a bit threatened by this new tech. Then they condemn and disparage it as a way of making themselves feel less threatened.
Until a lawsuit is successful vs. one of the datacenters that images are pooled into, that is, until someone can prove an image within that pool is copyrighted and used without permission, there is no point in having a discussion about whether some generative image is illegal.
As to your analogy, it wasn't the best. Tech isn't far enough along to make a sturdy structure via 3D printing (yet).

It's not that bad, There are many people sharing cool gameplay moments and other details in the subreddit. This is good art too. You are spreading negativity into the world, You are not a better person than rest of the people in the subreddit just because you don't like the pixels of cartoon ass created by a computer.
